Hah, yeah, I know. I could only ever buy anything on Gaia when I don't have anything I currently need & have some money to blow. I could think of many more uses for $99 right now, including a nice, new laptop bag for my laptop. biggrin Oh, if only someone would randomly gift me with a ThinkGeek Giftcard. No matter how many times I requested one for Christmas though, I never got one. scream
I see that, & I'm quite upset that I have to sit here & just... Watch it go. I'm pretty bummed about the Minis. You have no idea how much I wish I could've grabbed those AND the Nitemare ones. The Sash is so pretty, too... I've always liked that. 3nodding But the Minis were what really had me hung up. :c
Yeah, hot weather is nice. I can deal with the heat so much better than I can with the cold. I got a cute little fake fireplace heater from one of those Shop At Home networks last winter, & it does a good job at heating up a room, so I plan on using that a lot this winter. biggrin
Nasty, as in a lot of snow, or bitterly cold? (Or both? x_x) Whatever New York gets, New Hamps isn't that far away, so our weather may be similarly crappy.
I can't help but think of that freak snowstorm that we had in February. I got over 40" of snow where I am, & I lucked out & got the light & powdery stuff. Places south of me in Massachusetts & Connecticut got slammed with the heavier, wet stuff. That was absolutely AWFUL, especially since the rental house we were at didn't have a place to put that much snow. My parking spot in the front "yard" (which was only big enough for two cars to park side by side) ended up getting a 12 foot snowbank there for the rest of the winter, & I had to park alongside the landlord's cars that he had lining the driveway. (He used the garage of the house as an auto garage, & the driveway was full of cars he had for sale, hence the fact I had to park on the grass) It was obnoxious.
I suppose if we get hit with another freak storm like that, after the house is done, no big deal, since there will be a garage for me to put my car into & two driveways otherwise... But gosh, that really left a bitter taste for winter for me.
If I had money to blow on whatever, I could bring myself to do it. xD I could just imagine that I spent that money on a nice meal for my boyfriend & I somewhere. But I can't. And knowing my luck, something more important would happen soon after.
Like a concert. Or getting a glass from a favorite restaurant that just shut its doors for good on Sunday. Or a new (but cheap on eBay, haha) Otterbox case for my iPod touch that I just dropped & cracked the screen on last night. x___x Ugh! I'm so pissed at myself for that. :c
Yeah, I've enjoyed NH in the decade or so I've been here. So many of my friends are so bored here, they're all considering moving elsewhere. I dunno, I like the state, & I love living in the sticks. Nice & peaceful, depending on how far out you go. Fall is absolutely gorgeous here. Winters, well, they can suck. I was never a fan of snow, so that's the only time I hate being here, but for the other three seasons of the year, I love it here. biggrin
Gyah! They put the scarf back out! :c This stinks. I just broke my phone screen, so I wasted money on an overpriced phone case to help protect it until I can afford to actually replace the phone. x___x I HAD to pick up my hoodie upside down in the parking lot & have it hit the ground JUST right. xD The price for that Nitemare Scarf isn't so terrible, I think. I would've liked to have owned one of those. Never did get my hands on one before, & now they're 36 mil. :c I wish I didn't see that until after the fact, so I could just be a bit sad & think, "Oh well, I missed it. Probably was over $100 anyway." It burns my a** to know it's UNDER $100.
I feel like everything has exploded on the marketplace for some reason. The pendant EXPLODED. Things I paid a mil or less for have at least tripled in price... What the hell happened? D:
:O You're in New York? Neat! Whereabouts roughly, if you don't mind my asking, are you from? I travel to upstate New York a couple times in the summer time for drag racing with my boyfriend. :3
