And my brother said that the man placed himself above God. rofl Quite literally in the conversation. So at that point my brother realized there was no chance getting through to him.

The church drama story.

My brother is part of a committee that organizes a gathering to commemorate the WWII victims. There's a national 'holiday' for this in the Netherlands: May 4th.
He's been part of the organization for several years. Each year it takes place in a church. One year in the Roman catholic church and the other year in the protestant/reformed church.
So here comes the conflict.
The gathering is non- clerical and the Roman catholic church suddenly was against it. (There had been no objections in previous years.)
They demanded that it would have prayers and religious songs. So it would no longer be a neutral gathering for everyone (non-religious people). The church was sacred ground, not suitable for such gatherings.
So my brother and the committee decided that then it will just take place in the protestant/reformed church instead. They didn't have any problems with it whatsoever.
But yup. Now there's a conflict with the representatives of the Roman catholic church. My brother and another member of the committee had a conversation with them. Separately.
My brother said it was the horror. They wouldn't listen to any of their arguments (again: separately, they were apparently afraid to face them both together or something). They even compared the WWII memorial committee to a bunch of guests that would trash the place they were invited into and start drinking whiskey. Totally disrespecting the host (in other words: the Roman catholic church).
So now my brother is deeply disappointed in the Roman catholic church, which in theory he represented (being from Roman catholic origin).
I feel kind of bad for him.

I had a crazy driver behind me today. I was standing at a red traffic light. And he was approaching at high speed from behind. The traffic light turned green, so I start accelerating and it looked like he actually wanted to pass me by. At the traffic light. rolleyes Seriously, dude? And then he turned into a bumper-sticker of course. Clearly being all frustrated. I'm not going to drive any faster, just because he's driving like that. I actually kind of laugh at those kinds of people, because I know he's sitting in his car, being all frustrated. 'The whole world is against me' 'Ohno, another person who doesn't drive fast enough for my liking'. And then he passed me by later on.
Funny fact was that he was driving in a tiny car.

A friend of mine told me about her organizing one of those bachelor(ette) parties before and she also said it was a LOT of work and stress.

On King's day (this Saturday) it should finally become a bit warmer again (16 degrees Celsius instead of 10).

I don't really understand why Snake - or anyone for that matter - would allow some shady weapon dealer with a monkey (vendor) to inject him with something with a needle in his neck.
And why does old Snake look exactly like (old) Ocelot? rofl Can't the creators think of men looking differently in old age?

Speaking of lab-grown meat. For the first time people were allowed to taste it in the Netherlands. Everyone was very enthusiastic, but. It's still not legal in Europe. They cost only around 30 euros to make now instead of the burger which cost like 2 million ten years ago.

I was hoping the weather would improve next week, but it looks like it will get even worse. xD

At the moment the street is blocked (well, partially) because of a cable company that's place glass fiber cables through town.

Btw the broker's son hasn't moved the boat upon our request. That's not very surprising. So we're trying to get juridic advice about what we should or should not do.
