There is a darkness that pursues
The devastation that will ensue
Watch as the darkness engulfs me
What will the end result be

Cast it away into the light
Only to be met with plight
A deadly retort that it made
That it brought me to fade

The black is so overwhelming
It has everything so unsettling
Dare I let my life go now
Stand in the light and take that bow

The dark is swirling all around
Leaving me completely bound
A cry for help now is useless
Youthfulness was such bliss

To reach out and touch it
Left my body in such a fit
My body became inflamed
My mind twisted and maimed

There is nothing left to see
The presence devoured me
Nothingness is all that remains
Leaving me to feel disdained...
