Dear Journal...
The Little Light Bulb Problem
I figured that since i have a little time today, i would take the time to explain what i call my 'little light bulb problem'. Since i was very little, electronics and i have never gotten along. Part of it is that i would become frustrated and destroy it, and part of it was the fact that i ALWAYS got shocked. Even as a teenager, say 12-13 ish, i remember going through a whole lot of light bulbs. I'd walk into the room and hear the familiar *snick* that said i had to locate another one if i planned on reading that night.

Now, i know what you are thinking, because the same theory has been presented to me over and over. You cannot debunk this. lol.

People say, well regina, it might not be you at all, it could be faulty wiring where you are living. And i would say, 'hey, you could be right.' WRONG. The reason being, i have lived in (takes time to count..) 12 different homes since i was probably five. The longest period being in the old shanty on Spring St, which admittedly was old and worn out, but also showed signs of other phenomena as well as a few personal experiences i will take the time to write about later.

Like i have said, 12 homes, consistent light bulb deaths, and little old me. About a year ago, i was living in Maryland and i was talking to a friend on line about psionics. Our theory on it, varying between us, is that i have trouble with both storage and synthesizing my own energy. I TAKE IT. I take it from Andrew on a daily basis. I take it from crowds when i go places. I have used nature as a source. But the problem is keeping my levels stable. Either i have too much, which makes me antsy, anxious, and irritable, OR i have too little, which makes me sluggish, sickly, hungry, and sexually aggressive. This is where the light bulbs come to play...
For instance, and i am using a recent experience, we had a group of people over, planning little D&D sessions and playing Halo, and i was getting a lot more than just social interaction. I was sucking them dry, unintentionally. Well, as the day drew on, i flipped the light switch in the kitchen where everyone was gathered, and not only got a shock to my hand, but heard *snick**pop*. I started cursing, grabbing another bulb from a standing lamp and unscrewing the little glass shell around the lights. Upon further investigation, i found that the bulb had completely separated from the little metal twisty piece you screw into the socket. I had completely destroyed a brand new bulb yet again.
My apartment is up to date, without faulty wiring. I have never had a problem with any sockets, even during thunderstorms. I've never had a power surge even. But somehow, i manage to go through tons of bulbs a month. I have even switched to the power conserving ones that last 7 years or something like that. And yes they last longer. Much longer, actually. I have only ever had one pop on me since i started using them. I have varied brands with bulbs, used different sockets, tried leaving the lights off unless i absolutely need them. Left them on to test them.
Nothing works completely, but with study and practice, i am slowly getting better at drawing and releasing energy as needed.
