The Pencil Wielding Formal

The Pencil Wielding Formal is the current event for the Public Guild, Blank Pages, Loosely Bound. BPLB is a role play-centric guild, and it should be noted that this event is ROLE PLAY REQUIRED.

There are many prizes to be won here: a few prizes go out to those who showcase great literary talent, but there are also prizes for dressing up your avatar to a certain theme. If you don't have the Gold to afford it, there's a separate division dedicated to TekTek'd avatars, as well. Of interest is the recently added Battle Contest, where you must detail what you do in each of your combat posts in two lines, each with 5 syllables, and then, using those two lines, write out a more detailed account of what's going on. If that doesn't make sense to you, read over some of the posts in the event topic; once you grasp the concept, it's easy to learn, but difficult to master.

All in all, the Pencil Wielding Formal is a great chance to polish your role play abilities in a casual environment, and even stand a chance of going home with some Gaia Gold in your pockets!

Yvonne's Cipher

This is (officially) the first contest I'll be running solo. The premise is simple enough: I present you with a code, and through hints and hard work, you decipher it's true meaning. Not one of the hardest cipher's I've ever created, but it's not exactly a cake walk, either.

The reward is well justified, however: 25,000 Gold and rising. The potential to score big is...well, big!

This contest is being run out of the Public Guild, Oh My Gold! Even if you don't find my contest interesting, but are still looking for ways to win Gaia Gold, be sure to check around their Guild Forum. The founder of the guild even gives away 1,000 Gold to everyone who joins and posts in the Welcome thread, so there's really no reason not to join!
