As Shyeliis approached, she noticed Alucard snarl. Oh, no. Was he snarling at her? Had she done something wrong? This was horrible. She would be sent back to Eyshyr in disgrace. Wait. He was now approaching her, and certainly did not look angry. After he had kissed her hand, Shyeliss curtsied deeply. This was her future husband, after all, and deeper curtsies denoted deeper respect. "The pleasure is mine in this meeting, my lord." She said softly. For once, she wished she had been able to run more exercises in conversation, particularly in the common language. She had no doubt this would be easier in her own tongue. "For I have eagerly awaited the day I might meet you."
She listened as he told her the meanings of his name. Mostly, at least. Her mind had a tendency to wander. When she was young, her governess had said that it was her spirit exploring the kingdom for her. When she was older, her governess had simply scolded her to pay attention, and to remove her head from the clouds. As she tuned back in to the conversation, she noticed she had slight feelings of unease. Her future husband looked almost...hungry, and she was not sure why. "It is a great name, my lord. and shall surely be revered in the days to come."
