Satoru was dared to pull a prank on an old classmate, bribed with pizza he decided to go. The boy he was going to meet was depressed, he was always alone, his old friends left him after a while and he started to change from someone who used to be happy to the opposite, Satoru doesn't know what the boy has been diagnosed with, if anything Satoru is a little curious.

The Dare: Get him to fall in love with you.

Personality: Used to be care-free and joyful but is now depressed and angry.
Short Bio: Matthew had to be pulled out of school a few weeks after he was diagnosed, he had tried to hide it from everyone but he soon got worse and had to be put in constant care of the hospital.

Matthew Nicholas Chadwick

Matthew sat in his hospital room, the only source of entertainment was the TV in the corner, he watched it even though it was probably the most boring thing he had ever seen. Matthew had had a chance to make friends but he refused to leave the room, although he wished he had at least have it a shot, he was rarely in the mood for social interaction and when he was it was usually just hope that his parents would leave work early to pay him a visit. Matthew looked out of his window, he thought he would never admit this but he wished he could go back to school, anywhere was better than here.

The dare was simple... make him fall in love with you. Satoru's friends had already known that Satoru preferred guys to girls, so they were putting him to the challenge. The free pizza would be a nice reward and the looks on their faces.

Satoru went up to the hospital's front desk and got Matthew's room number. He stepped up to the door and peeked through the window, 'oh... what a cutie~'

Matthew squinted when he thought he saw a face looking through his window, he was surprised to say the least, he gave the other boy a small wave, unsure of what else to do in this situation, was the boy here to see him? Matthew doubted it but it was a possibility, he wondered what the other could be here for "Come in" Matthew said softly even though it sounded more like a question, he wasn't even sure if he would be heard at the other side of the door.

With the small wave from the other boy, Satoru opened the door and walked in. Matthew looked... well, bored is the best word. He also looked like he need a pal, friend, someone. Satoru could always tell these things! ...Or seriously fail at it. The dare was gonna go perfectly Satoru could just feel it in his bones~

Matthew could see all of these emotions appear on his face, but Satoru didn't know that. Satoru walked over and held out a hand to the boy, "Hey there Matthew~ Remember me?"

Matthew instantly recognised the boy once he walked through the door, he used to be in his class and Satoru seemed really cheerful for someone who was currently in a hospital, a class mate was the last sort of person Matthew would expect to visit him. Matthew slowly took Satoru's hand, he was a little suspicious about the sudden visit but he decided to let that slide for now "Yeah, you're Satoru, right? What are you doing here?" He questioned, hoping for a reasonable answer, if he was just here to mess about or something stupid Matthew doubted he would be able to tolerate him for long.

Satoru shook his hand before letting go. 'Suspicious aintcha'? No problem.'

The teenager sat down on the chair next to Matthew and pouted, "What~? I can't come to visit one of my dear old classmates? I'm hurt, Matthew." To add a tad more effect he placed his hand on his chest.

Matthew watched Satoru make a dramatic scene out of his question and he had to hold back a laugh, covering his mouth with a hand and trying to pull it off as a cough instead "Why now though? I haven't been to school is ages" He frowned at the fact before returning to his bored expression, once again trying to hide his emotion, Matthew was worried about being hurt and friends sometimes came with that and that was enough the rule out the fact that he wouldn't be lonely any more.

That was a tough question... but not too tough for Satoru! "We aren't in the same class this year, so I didn't know about it until now... I was wondering why I hadn't seen you around school. Today I heard some of the teachers talking about how you were in the hospital, it gave me quite a shock!"

He grabbed onto Matthew hand and place his other hand over the two, "Are you okay? You're not dying are you?! I was wondering... if there was anything I could do to help..." He looked over at Matthew with his big concerned eyes.

Matthew had a small smile on his face as Satoru talked, he had honestly thought that no one had cared about him, knowing that someone was concerned for him or at least wondered where he had went made him feel happy which was a rare occurrence. Matthew was surprise when Satoru held onto his hand but he didn't pull back

"It's not terminal, so no, I'm not dying, I just have to stay here all the time and that's why I haven't been in school" Matthew explained, he didn't want Satoru to be worried over something like that. He let out a sigh before ignoring pretty much every worry he had about making a friend "It would be nice if you would just...visit me sometimes. I don't have many visitors and it gets kind of lonely" Matthew told him "That's if you want to, you don't have to if you don't want to" He quickly added on.

Satoru smiled brightly, "Of course I'll come! Just think of me as a close friend from now on!"

The boy looked around the room, "Oi... you don't have much here, do ya? I could get you some books or movies..." Satoru smirked a little, "And if you need some girl time I can get a copy from a friend~" He said quietly, talking about porn.

Matthew nodded, he felt overjoyed knowing that he would be spending less of his time alone.

He brightened up at the idea of getting some more sources of entertainment "I would like that, the channels on the TV are all really boring" Matthew said, he wasn't sure if the TV even had a DVD player but he could convince his dad to bring in a portable one for him. Matthew went red at the next thing he said, quickly shaking his head "No thanks" He blurted out, which didn't help in hiding his embarrassment, he just hoped his face would return to its normal colour soon, Matthew wished he could pass it off as a fever but that wouldn't be very believable "You pervert" He mumbled, letting out a small giggle.
