A NightClub Experience(Kuri and Mistress)

Skylar was having the same problem with his own dreams. They were simple and innocent at first, you know the holding hands and sharing gentle kisses. But after a few minutes, things started to get a little heated and he quickly shoved the thoughts to the very back of his mind. His demon was messing with his mind and he so did not need those kind of dreams, and so he told it to knock it off and let him sleep. But the dreams did cement one fact...he was falling for the bartender.

Thankfully, he had that dream only once that night, for the next morning was still raining but at least the downpour wasn't as strong as before. He went to the bank to deposit the cash to his mom's account before heading to work. Once he arrived there at the nightclub, it was business as usual, except that this time, Haruki had to check out the restock of liquor supplies for his drinks. Because of that, he had to exit through the back to converse with the delivery guy in charge of the supplies. The bartender inspected through the boxes of liquor, hoping that all of them were in good condition, only to notice that one of the boxes were drenched because of the broken bottle. Haruki jogged back in, having to contact the manager for the set-back.

Skylar woke up the next morning, more tired than when he had fallen asleep. He sat up in bed, rubbing his face as he tried to shake himself fully awake. He looked lit his window to see that is was still raining but not like yesterday. With a sigh, he slid out of bed and headed for the shower but not before firing up the coffee maker so it would be ready by the time he finished his shower. God, it was too early but he needed to get to the hospital to get paperwork done and to make sure that his patients were doing well.

It was much worse when there was no insurance for the delivery company, which caused a lot of inconvenience on both sides. Nonetheless, Haruki had to work with the bottles that were still in good condition. Carefully, he carried them to the back and even put them inside the cold storage area to keep them cool until it is time to serve them up. That way, the customers would be feeling the chill as they would enjoy the mixed drinks during the party. Once he was done, he went back to the bar, sitting down because he was tired from lifting them up.

Skylar poured his coffee into a thermos before grabbing his backpack, keys, and cellphone and heading for the door. Ever since he had woken up he had not been feeling well butches shook it off and headed to work. He couldn't afford to not feel well at the moment as he had a lot to do today. Especially paperwork which he thought was made to torture people by that was neither here or there. He sighed as he walked through the doors of the hospital, greeting everyone and the heading to his office. He hadn't even been in there for five seconds before he was called to the emergency room. Damn. He just knew that today was going to be a long day.

He was given a bottle of water and he spoke in thanks before opening the cap and taking a sip. Knowing that Skylar would also have a busy day in the hospital, he would have to save the contacting for later when his break would be up after his morning shift. It wasn't long before Haruki was called in by the chef because he was asking which drinks to pair well with the food. He smiled before standing up and approaching the kitchen to provide the suggestions, knowing that the testing session would be great to pass the time.

Skylar handed the newly born baby boy to his mother before exiting the room and letting the nurses take over. He sighed as he cleaned up, happy that the child that he had delivers was healthy despite the birthing complications as the little one had been breached and the woman had to have a c-section but it ended up okay in the end. He headed back to his office, his head pounding. Damn headache. He managed to find a bottle of aspirin and popped two, downing it with some water before throwing himself into his chair and sinking into it with a sigh. He would call Haruki later. Right now he just wanted to sleep.

The chef had cooked a few of the finger food dishes for the other to try out. Haruki tasted each of them one by one before speaking with the perfect complimentary drinks. Having food together with his mixed beverages would be a great way to increase the revenue, though the bartender should only pick only two or three combos for the time being. The other co-workers came to test them out, and votes were tallied up. At the end, there were only two menu combos that won the majority of the votes and Haruki decided that they should be brought out later tonight.

Skylar had fallen asleep in his office chair so he didn't notice someone entering his office. The figure quietly approached his sleeping form, a hand gently brushing a stand of blue hair from his face before shaking the young doctor awake. "Hey, Skylar. Wake up." said the figure softly. Skylar stored at the voice, blue eyes opening sleepily before turning Godhead only to come face to face with..."Max?!" he said, now wide awake. Max was a cardiologist at the hospital and had a thing for Skylar which made him nervous as the other tried numerous times to woo him only to fail.

With that idea meeting adjourned, they would now be going to eat lunch composed of the stuff they had taste tested. However, a nagging feeling erupted to the back of Haruki's head and he decided to excuse himself from the rest of the group and decided to give Skylar a call, just to check on him whether he's enjoying his lunch or not. The bartender could only hope that the other was okay since he would be finished from his shift for the morning before break would be over.

Skylar stated as Max left. The man gave him the creeps and his obsessive behavior towards him for not earn him any favors at this point. Just the thought of Max touching him made him ill. With a shudder he decided to go get some lunch and take his mind off of this. He knew he had to be careful around Max as he wouldn't be surprised if the other had some type of sick plan for him. He shook his head as HR headed upstairs to the cafe, wondering if this day was was going together better or worse. He hoped Haruki was enjoying his lunch.

Now that Haruki was outside, he could now call Skylar. After searching for his number through the contact list, he pressed the button to initiate the call. The ringing buzz filled his ear as he waited for the pediatrician to pick up his phone. The bartender could only hope that the delay wouldn't be that long, and fortunately, he could now start the call. His voice was a bit anxious as he spoke. "Hello, Skylar? How are you at work? I'm now at the break during lunch but I want to check to see how are things coming along at your workplace. I hope something bad hasn't happened to you."

Skylar gave a start, almost choking on his food when his cell started ringing. He reached into his coat pocket to see that it was Haruki. He blinked before pressing the button. "Hi, Haruki. I am fine. Everything is fine. Thank you for calling." he replied after hearing the other make on the other line. He was very happy that the other had called. "What about you? Are you okay?" he asked after taking another sip of his latte. He decided to push the incident with Max to the back of his mind and focused on Haruki.

He had a feeling that the incubus was hiding something, so he was not totally buying his words, but decided to keep that thought aside for the time being. At his next question, he chuckled, a tome intending to stir the incubus' heart. "Fun times with the testing to see which food goes well with my drinks. You should try them out soon during your next trip to the nightclub. It doesn't have to be tonight when you are packed for the whole day today."

Skylar felt his heart skip a beat at the sound and thought that sounds like that should be made illegal. "Ah. I see. Yeah. I'll probably be working well into the evening even though it's mostly paperwork." he replied, stirring his latte absentmindedly. "I'm happy that you called." he added softly, glad that Haruki wasn't here to see him blush. Gods, how this man could make him act like a school girl was beyond him and the images that his inner demon was sending him was not helping in anyway.
