Skylar blinked before thinking about it. "Um. I like the idea of you cooking for me. I mean, if it's not too much trouble." he replied, feeling his blush darkening Bunche minute. Oh, god. What was he saying?! He shook his head and focused on the conversation at hand. "Sure. We can do that." he added after a moment of thought. An actual date with Haruki! He had been surprised that he finally asked but he wasn't going to complain about it. Nope.

His bright smile broadened up a bit. "Just wait and see. It will be a surprise. Anyway, gotta sleep. Good night." With that, he hung up the phone and laid down on the bed, now feeling excited for the date. But still, he hoped that the guy who was still aiming for the body of the incubus would just back off and fear him. That would wait till next morning, more so when he had to sleep because he was already spent from the special shift with the client's party.

"Night." Skylar replied before hanging up himself. He stared at his phone for a few seconds before squealing outloud. He had a date! With Haruki, which was awesome and he couldn't wait for tomorrow. He set his phone on the dresser after setting the alarm before snuggling under his covers and heading off to sleep as he had to get up early for the morning shift at the hospital. He was so looking forward to their date.

The next day, Haruki had called his parents while eating his breakfast, hoping that his father would be okay with the medications. It was a relief to see that he was starting to feel good, which was exactly what he wanted. An hour later, he left the apartment and took the ten-minute walk to the grocery store. His list was a bit shorter, but since he had to prepare the special dinner with Skylar, he had to shell out a few more bills. He hoped that it will be worth the decision to settle for ingredients that are a bit more expensive to his liking.

That same day, Skylar could be seen around the hospital, humming to himself happily and people took notice. They had to wonder what the young doctor was so cheerful about. Especially a certain Cardiologist who hated seeing Skylar so happy about something that wasn't him. It had to be another guy. This thought alone made his insides burn with jealousy at who was lucky enough to get the blue-haired beauty's attention. Meanwhile,Skylar was in the child care ward checking on he little ones, making sure they had everything the needed before going on his way to his other rounds.

With the task done for the day, Haruki was now thinking of a way to have fun with Skylar tonight. Maybe they could go to the park and spend some time stargazing together? Yeah, that would be it. After all, if they would go to that next level that quickly that involved being in bed... No, Haruki must not do that or the demon would be scared. That would be for another time if both of them were certainly ready for it. For now, the small acts of fun would suffice. But right now, he had to make it back home. Not to mention his grocery bags were heavy with the supplies for the pantry.

Skylar looked up at the clock in his office to see that he had maybe two more hours before he could clock out and then go home and get ready for his date with Haruki. Just thinking about it made him giddy with joy and had to dodge some questions from his nosy Co-workers as well as Max, who seemed to want to be a bigger pain in the side than usual as he followed him everywhere. And when he finally threatened the other with a restraining order the other backed off. For now but he knew that Max would try something stupid but he had better things to do and pushed it to the back of his mind.

The first task for the day was to cook something special for both his own lunch and their dinner later tonight. He decided to have some chicken parmigiana with a lettuce salad on the side. Dessert would be mint granita as a palate cleanser. It was not that much, but he hoped that the demon would like what he would prepare later. He became busy with the kitchen with the food, and soon as he was done cooking, he washed his hands. Dressing up for the date would be the next step, settling for something casual. He didn't want to make a fuss because he had nothing formal to wear.

Skylar was manning the front desk for a nurse friend of his, eating his lunch while pondering what he would wear for tonight. He knew that he was planning to keep it simple as even he didn't like to dress fancy unless absolutely had to and he didn't want to scare Haruki away by making him think he was better than him. No, that would not do so simple it was going to be. As he continued to think and eat his lunch, he noticed Max hovering nearby and glared at the man. Okay, this man was starting to irritate him to a while knew level. What part of no did the man not get? He had a feeling Thatcher was definitely going to need a restraining order in the far of future if the other man kept this up.

Once he was done with the ensemble, he was indeed all set for the fun. But first, he made sure that he wouldn't leave anything behind before exiting his apartment. But once he called a cab to pick him up to the hospital, there was a huge traffic jam, much to his chagrin. He checked his watch, seeing that it was now 3:30 P.M., a bit earlier than intended. He still hoped that the jam would be cleared up soomer otherwise he would be late, and someone who had the eyes for Skylar would interfere even more just to get into his pants. That thought alone made him feel sick to his stomach.

Skylar had settled for a simple blue sweater, jeans, and black thigh-high boots along with a light jacket before making his way out. He made sure he had everything he needed before leaving. Trying to get ready had been a nightmare as Max kept pestering him with questions, so almost at the end of his patience, he shoved the man in the utility closet, locket it and fled to his office get ready for his date. He was glad he had brought some clothes with him. Someone would find Max eventually though he hoped not too soon as he did not want that man anywhere near him or Haruki.

It was a shame that it took him twenty more minutes before he could finally arrive at the hospital, all thanks to the traffic. The first thing was to ask the receptionist if Skylar was available for him to the talk. The reply was that he was almost done with his shift and that he could go home anytime soon. However, a loud crashing noise on the utility closet far from the two interrupted the conversation and the female receptionist now felt worried. Though the office has closed doors because of Skylar having to prepare for his date, the voice was an indication that something went wrong. Haruki sauntered as quickly as possible, ignoring the protest of the female in front of him. She could only sigh, remarking that he was either agitated or a bit too excited to see him.

Skylar heard the crash and couldn't help but wince at Max's voice screaming at him through the utility closet door. He sounded quite pissed but he didn't have time to worry about him. He had to leave and meet Haruki, not Knowing that Haruki was already in the hospital and headed towards him. He quickly grabbed his things before heading out he door and promptly smacked into Haruki. He grunted in surprise and was about to apologize until he saw who it was. "Haruki?!" he said in surprise while once again ignoring the crashing from the closet.

With the bespectacled man close to Skylar's office, he may just knock on the door to see if the doctor was still inside. But he didn't have to with him bumping straight into his chest, about to apologize until the pediatrician saw his face. Haruki's face was now laced with worry as he still heard the angry pounding noises from the closet. With enough force, the frame might give way and someone may have to fix the damage. "Is this why there are noises in the closet? I was about to ask more from the receptionist but then this occurred and I had to dash to you."

Skylar blinked but was secretly happy that Haruki worried for him. "Oh. That. That's nothing. I'm fine. We should go before he manages to get out." he replied with a small smile while grabbing the other's hand and tugging him towards the exit. He wanted to be far away when Max finally got out. He was not going to be happy but he didn't care and he would not let anyone or anything interfere with this date. Max was livid and when he got out he was going to teach Skylar a lesson as well as whoever he was talking to as he could clearly hear another male voice through the blasted door.
