Skylar just smiled at him by the sense of foreboding didn't leave him. But he would set it aside for now. He blushed darkly when Haruki wrapped an arm around his waist and pulled him closer. His inner demon was thrilled about this. Meanwhile, Max had made it to the park, looking around for his prey, not noticing the cop car parked under the shade of a nearby tree. When Max finally spotted him he was incensed. Who the hell did this man think he was, touching his Skylar?! And the younger male and the gall to blush like a schoolgirl, pissing him off even more. No. This was not going to do and with that thought he started making his way over to the two. To hell win the consequences!

The accomplice was still hiding under a tree and then he saw the cop car not far from his vision. Shoot! It meant that someone called 911 to inform the cops. He had to inform Max that he would soon get arrested via the phone but he had to hide to another spot to do so to avoid being spotted by the cops, and that would be a bit too late considering how fast his friend was in spotting the target. Meanwhile, Haruki noticed the blush from Skylar and was about to ask when he heard footsteps from Max and alarm bells rang in his head. "Oh no, we have to run." Haruki grasped him arm, ready to bolt into a run with his date. If Max would get up to him first and catch Skylar, it would be because he wasn't fast enough.

Max was gaining ground on them. He was so close that he could almost touch Skykar. So intent on trying to get to the two, he ignored the frantic ringing of his cellphone. Skylar looked at Haruki startled before looking back to see Max coming straight for them. He panic but managed to get himself under control before starting to run with Haruki. He would not allow himself or the other to be caught by the maniac. Unfortunately for Max, the police spotted him and started running after him, yelling for him to stop but Max was beyond listening or reading when he saw his prey getting away.

The friend cursed internally knowing that Max was too focused on the target in sight to even bother in answering the phone. The bartender kept on running with Skylar beside him, and with the cops chasing the predator right on his tail, he would receive resisting arrest as part of the charges together with the future restraining order. "Darn it, that guy was fast," he commented as they kept on bolting, hoping for a safe spot to hide from the crazy guy.

Skylar made a spilt decision and grabbed Haruki's hand, taking the lead. "I know some where we can go." he said after a moment. "There is a library not to far from here where u get my books from. We can hide in there." he added. Max smirked as he gained on them. He was so close that he could almost see Skylar as good as his. He was so going to enjoy taking him for his own once he got rid of the bartender. He still did not notice the policeman that were going on him as he was so focused and that would be his mistake.

The bespectacled man nodded, following the way as they left for the library, hoping to be safe from the predatory gaze. The friend was now worried that Max will be caught by the cops and as soon as he checked through the bushes, his gut feeling was right. The police were so not going to be happy with their orders ignored with the cardiologist still lusting for the demon. He was now going to warn him but that would be too late, with the last resort going to be performed.

Skylar focused on getting far away from Max as possible. When he saw he doors to the library, he gripped Haruki's hand tighter and headed straight for them. But just as he raised a hand to open them, he was yanked away hars from Haruki and into Max's grip. "Finally got you!" he snarled darkly. But Skylar would not go willingly and with that he smacked Max hard, causing him to reel backwards before dropping him with a kick to the stomach. He didn't wait for the man ton recover and instead grabbed the bartender, heading through the doors. Max was pissed as his prey had gotten away. He had him too! So, when he caught his breath,he stood up and started to go after them but he was tackles to the ground by the policeman and handcuffed.

Seeing Skylar beating the crap out of Max just solidified the reminder to never piss the guy off. He was about to recover when he was tugged inside the library through the doors. It was a good thing that Max was arrested or they would become toast. It was then that the friend of Max witnessed the scene and grumbled, knowing that it would occur eventually just because the call was ignored. At least the two were safe for the time being with the cardiologist out of the picture for a long time.

Skylar watched from the windows of the library as he and Haruki saw a policeman tackle Max and then arrest him. He had to make a statement when the police asked what happened and he told them everything. That Max had been obsessed with him for a long time and often harassed him at work, going so far as to try to kiss him at one point. Needless to say he didn't go the chance. Max actually fought with the police and he's taser him in order to get him out Bronte car. He had been charged with assault, stalking, resisting arrest, attacking an officer as well as sexual harassment. It was pretty obvious that Max was gig to go to jail. Hopefully for a long time.

The friend was indeed going to tell him to stop but Max just wouldn't listen, hence the situation that was starting to aggravate. Haruki sighed because watching the scene made him wince. He just took the incubus' hand, ushering out of the sight as the cardiologist was shoved into the car. The library would serve as their sanctuary for the time being until the police car would be away from the place. As for Max's friend, he had to turn himself in, but at least for the honesty, the sentence would be much lighter.

Skylar looked over at Haruki in surprise but let himself be lead away from the scene. "I'm sorry about this, Haruki. Our date is ruined because of this craziness..." he started as he police car drove away until the sirens could no longer be heard. The last hour had been a diaster and he hoped that Haruki wouldn't be mad at him for letting him get dragged into this craziness. And today had been going so well too. He had to keep himself from crying at his bad luck.

Based on the crestfallen expression on Skylar's face, he could tell that the incubus was upset about what happened, more so with Max being the party pooper because of the urge to stuff his hands into the other's pants. Even Haruki was upset and pissed at what happened, but screaming and blaming wouldn't solve anything at all. Instead, he sighed and looked away. "So, what books do you usually borrow from here?" He hoped the change of subject would help to forget about the incident, even if the relief was jus temporary.

Skylar looked at him for a brief second before walking to a nearby chair and sitting himself in it. "A bit of everything but mostly fantasy and sci-fi." he replied after a moment of silence. He could not believe this was happening. All he had wanted was to have fun with the man he liked but now, it had turned into a nightmare. "So...what do we do now?" he asked after a moment, looking over at Haruki.

The reply was a curt nod. "Oh, I see." At the question about what to do next, he smiled. "I still have the dinner for the two of us, Skylar, and it will be a shame if we just leave the food behind because of the incident." He then held out his hand for the other to hold. "Let's go home." Plus, with the sunlight radiating through the windows, the shadows were cast on one side of his face, giving the view a unique look, and possibly the attracting aura that may strike deep into the demon's heart, especially with the heart-warming smile.

Skylar stared at he image before him, committing it to memory before blushing darkly as his heart started to race with Haruki's smile. He shyly took he other's hand, nodding at the bartender's statement. "Okay." he replied win a small smile as he decided to not let his incident ruin he and Haruki's time together.
