With the two party poopers out of the way, the couple can now go to Haruki's house at peace. The downside was that the traffic occurred again while they were in the cab on the way to the bartender's apartment complex. Even with the mishap that occurred mainly because of Max, they can now just enjoy whatever Haruki had cooked for the special day. He went back to wrapping his arm around the slender waist, but left his shoulder open for the other to lean on. There was only silence between the two as tine passed.

Skylar smiled to himself when he felt Haruki's arm around his waist. He likes the feeling it gave him. He took the offered shoulder, resting his head as they drove to Haruki's apartment. He was so glad that Max is going away and that he didn't have to worry about him anymore. He just enjoyed the time with Haruki for now.

It took a few minutes before the traffic finally loosened up and the car finally moved. With the slight bump on the road, Haruki lets go of his waist and moved his hand back to the side. By the time they arrived at the apartment, he immediately opened the front door, leading him to his living room. "No fancy table arrangements, unfortunately, but I hope you like the food." After all, the meal was what counts the most for the date that would almost become a total disaster if it wasn't for the police's arrival.

Skylar had to fight down his disappointment when Haruki removed his arm. He smiled as they entered his apartment. "I am not a fancy person, Haruki. Simple is just fine for me." he replied softly. "I'm sire anything you made will be great." he added. He was really looking forward to this and he could not wait to see what the other male had cooked up.

Haruki took off his coat off and shoes before walking to the kitchen. "You can go enjoy yourself through watching TV while I'll get the food. It'll take a short while for me to set up the meal for both of us." It was then that he became busy, adding final touches to the food put on the plates before serving the meals for them both, placing the plates and utensils on the table near the couch. "Here you go. Chicken parmigiana with a bed of salad on the bottom. I'll get a bottle of wine for both of us. Or maybe we'll just settle for fizzy drinks. Your choice."

Skylar gave a nod before heading to the couch and taking a seat. Instead of turning the TV on, he sat there quietly, waiting on the other male. Once he was he was at the table, he looked at the food in surprise. "It looks very good." he said with a smile. "Um. I think wine will do in this case." he added after a moment of thinking

The bartender's chuckle was light. "I hope you won't mind the white one. That's my favorite." He left for the kitchen once more, returning back to the living room with a bottle of white wine and two tall glasses. "Just bought that this morning together with the ingredients for our dinner date. It's freshly chilled so it'll have a nice feeling in our tongues." He then opened the cap, pouring the liquid for both glasses.

Skylar shook his head. "No. Not at all." he replied with a smile. "Well, I can't wait to taste it now. I am sure it will be wonderful." He added as he watched Haruki pour the wine into their glasses. He was quite impressed by the foresight and he knew that this dinner was going to be great.

Haruki was the one to turn on the TV, choosing a movie channel for the viewing pleasure. A comedy movie was now showing and he laughed. "Man, Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising. Good one. " He then ate his meal carefully so that he would not choke every time he saw a funny scene in the movie. He even washed it down with his wine. Though he didn't catch the prequel before that, it was still funny as hell. It may be possible for Skylar to enjoy the movie as well if he would push some inappropriate scenes aside.

Skylar nodded as he started on his food. "Yes. It's quite funny. You should see the first one. That is also funny." he replied after taking a sip of his wine, which was very good by the way. "The food tastes great, Haruki." he added after a moment of watching the scenes. The inappropriate scenes did not bother him as he had seen the movie before and just opted to enjoy the dinner.

He was just done eating another piece of the chicken and he was now into the vegetable salad. He took another sip of the wine before he spoke once more. "Next time, then." It wasn't long before the two finished the movie, but the food was not yet done. He then switched to another channel. This time, it was a reality TV channel. "America's Next Top Model, huh? It's a good thing even males are included as contestants." Oh boy, there was some drama going on at the house and he just couldn't wait to see it.

Skylar nodded. Oh, yes. There would definitely be a next time. "Sure." he replied win a smile as he finished off his own chicken then also started on the salad. He had to shake his head at the drama that was being showed on TV. He had never seen a group of people who disliked each other so much even though it was funny. He snorted when the drama escalated into a fight, wondering how it would turn out.

Haruki was digging into the rest of the chicken, though the drama had ended and the time skip ensued for the photoshoot, wherein the model with the worst photo would be sent home packing. Thankfully, the wine they both consumed was white, though the warmth was now circulating through his body, though much lighter than stronger liquors. He rested his head on the top of the couch as he saw the efforts but pouted a bit when one of them didn't fare well to the task. "That dude might be sent home." His tone was casual, though a bit deep because of the beverage.

Skylar had finished his food so he just sat back on the couch, wine in hand as they continued ton watch the program. He was feeling good right now and didn't know if it was the wine of Haruki's company or a bit of both but he couldn't bring himself to care at the moment. "Yeah. A shame." He replied, ignoring how the other's voice was affecting him. Now was not the time no mater why his inner demon said.

With the photo shoot being done for the day, Haruki was now digging into the rest of the salad. He then refilled his wine glass, taking another sip after putting the bottle down, as the contestants were taking their rest back in the house. He sighed, now leaning his head against the top even more. Haruki was starting to feel a bit more of the warmth from the beverage, but smiled and just continued on watching the show, not wanting to scare the heck out of the demon with the non-consensual advances.
