When joined again, the angel glanced over his shoulder and saw the many small pieces in Devin's hand and couldn't help but smile before nodding. He picked up the syrup that had been set out on the table and began pouring the liquid onto the pancakes along with a little butter before he began to eat. His eyes closed each time he took a bite, enjoying the feeling of Devin brushing and then playing with his hair. He was actually sad when it was all finished, and fought the urge to mess it up again just so the demon would play with it some more. He was about finished with his second cake when the question was asked. "Thank you. Ah, he is upstairs fixing his hand. He's always stubborn with it and won't ever let me help him when it's from the shards....Annoying sometimes..." the angel grumbled, beginning to cut the third pie moments later. A thought alone let him know Tatsu was almost finished. "He'll be finished in just a few minutes." Chewing another piece of cake, Elijah found his free hand gently playing with the hem to the long shirt he was wearing, looking down at the fabric covering his chest with a smile. "Thank you for the clothes...It's just for around the house...besides, bigger clothes are more comfy."

"He might be a vassal, but hes still a demon, stubbornness is on our nature I'm afraid...I think he also knows you'd just worry more if you helped him" he pointed out gently as he let the other eat in peace before he smiled a bit as the other thanked him "Don't worry about it, they don't really fit me anymore so you might as well keep them, at least until we get you some more clothes" he said with a smile. "But first thing first need to head to the council and request their aid, Things happen pretty quickly out here but still need to fill out a form and wait for it to get processed after that there will be a meeting of sorts as they decided who should get what" He said softly.

Finishing up the third cake on his plate, the angel slowly sat back in his chair, looking over towards the other while he spoke. It was true, Tatsu was his vassal, but all the same, the years together and he would not allow Elijah to tend to his wounds. The angel sighed and shook his head again, before he slowly got to his feet to take the finished plate to the sink. "What do you mean who should get what? What would the council need a form for," he asked, not connecting the dots just yet. It was about that time that he felt Tatsu come down the stairs, which caused the angel's shoulders to tense just a bit.
Only when he was sure that the burn was completely covered did the demon finally get up and leave the room to head downstairs to eat. He heard the two conversing, but did not bother to wait for it to end. He made his way down the stairs and sat down at the table where the only plate left was resting. He had noticed the slight tension in his master's shoulders, and the being found himself sighing. 'I'm not angry with you Eli..Don't worry so much,' the demon whispered through his master's mind, watching as the angel slowly turned to watch him where he sat. He saw the expression before the being moved towards the table, which Tatsu held a hand up between them both. He watched those pale eyes looking at the bandages fingers for several moments before he returned it to the table and began to eat.
Those pale eyes looked at the bandaged fingers for several moments before the limb was lowered. So, it hadn't been too bad...All the same..Elijah moved across the kitchen and wrapped his arms around the demon's shoulders, leaning in against his back with a sigh. "If you get to worry about me, then I get to worry about you," he muttered, chin resting against the top of Tatsu's head gently before he sighed and let his forehead rest against those dark locks next. "You're all I've got left from Mother..."
ooc|Gotta get to bed. Long weekend ahead of me with work, so unsure of if I will be able to reply much. I will be back on Monday for sure though!

"Its the way things work here, demon sages with that sort of restorative magic are pretty damned rare, most of them are out there fighting in the war so the ones that remain here have their powers stretched thin trying to attend to the needs of others, once the council reads our request he'll assess the case examine the injuries to see how bad the damage is before deciding if he can do it or whether it'd be better to save his power for someone else more in need" He explained softly with a slight shrug "It sucks but...if there were more sages it wouldn't be so bad but theyre the only kind of demon that have to be born with the power, either you have the talent or you don't"
Devin glanced at Tatsu then to Elijah as he clung to the other and hugged him...nope definitely not jealous or anything, the half angel wa just a naturally cuddly person with people he cared about, he didn't have the right to get jealous.

Tatsu stilled when those thin limbs wrapped around him, listening to what part of the conversation he had walked in on, but remained silent; a small smile gracing his features. He couldn't help but tip his head back quickly, leaning up to n** at the pale neck now hovering above him, a laugh breaking through the silence when Elijah made a small surprised sound.
Elijah had heard the answer to his question, about to comment when his neck was nibbled on, the sudden movement and pressure making him jump and release the demon from his hold. Stumbling back a step or two, one hand moved to cover the small spot Tatsu had touched while his left hand went to his mouth, face coloring from embarrassment from how he had reacted. "That...wasn't called for," he mumbled, glancing away when the demon in front of him laughed again before he started eating.
Turning around, he leaned back against the seated being, to continue the conversation he was having with Devin. "Then we should start on the request, or are the forms something you have to get from somewhere in particular," Elijah asked, hand rubbing at his throat on last time before his arms dropped to wrap around his torso lightly. It was then that he noticed a bit of batter still in Devin's hair and the angel couldn't help but smile and walk over to the other. A pale hand reached out to steady himself upon the taller man's shoulder while his left hand reached out to pull gently at the white mix within the dark hair. "You missed a bit," he teased.

"The council building is in the 1st district, its where our court of law and where the council lives, right in the centre of the whole of hell" Devin said "If we go there early enough we can fill out the forms and have the request seen to the same day" He said with a smile; he of course had other plans; he wasn't going to fill in the request for himself...oh no...he was sure the sages would be more likely to cure Elijah than him...but neither Elijah or the other demon had to know that.

Slowly shaking his head when Elijah finally turned around to continue conversing with the other demon, Tatsu began eating the food that had been prepared for him; staying silent at the angel's back like he had done for so many years prior.
When his questions were answered, the angel took a few careful steps back to give the demon room again, nodding slightly thereafter. If they go there early enough? Ugh, mornings....How Elijah despised them all with a passion like no other. Hanging his head, the being glanced down at his feet where they poked out from the pants given to him and sighed. "But....I haven't worn these long enough to mask my scent. We would have to leave now to get there early enough, wouldn't we?"

Elijah pondered that, true they would have to mask the others scent another way "I have an idea" He said with a grin before he left the room coming back with what looked like a silk frilly top "Wear this under your clothing, its my mothers, her scent and ours should be potent enough to cover your scent" He promised "Just don't tell my mom, she'd ask too many questions.

Watching as the other left the room and then came back with the strange looking piece of clothing and frowned a bit before he glanced over his shoulder. "If you purposefully set me on fire with this shirt on, I'm going to kill you," he grumbled, reaching out to take the shirt from the demon. "Okay, I'll go change and put on pants that fit. I'll be back down in a few," the angel muttered, flipping the fabric over his shoulder before he started up the stairs.

"Now why would we EVER do anything like that?" Devin asked with a soft laugh; he knew his mother while initially annoyed some of her clothing had gone missing, would eventually see the humour in the situation. Devin sighed as he cleaned up from breakfast before he pulled on a jacket and waited for the other his hands in his pockets.

Only when he was finished eating did Tatsu slowly get up and help clear the table, slowly shaking his head before stretching slightly. "You guys can head out. I'll meet up with you later. I'm gonna nap. Unlike some people, I wasn't able to get much sleep last night," he grumbled, stepping to the side when Elijah came bounding down the stairs wearing the lace top. He noticed the thin material on his legs and leaned down to eye the fabric. "You got yourself a pair too? Just when were you able to get these without me seeing?"
The angel hadn't taken more time than he needed upstairs, changing and making sure nothing was left out before he came back down, pausing at Tatsu's questions. Elijah stuck his tongue out and went over to wrap an arm around one of Devin's playfully. "When you weren't looking of course. Your fire is dangerous to human-made material," he teased, tugging lightly on the demon's arm. "C'mon. Let's go. I wanna be back before noon. I always get sleepy around one if I'm out," he admitted with a grin. "How far do we have to go?"

"Catching up on your beauty sleep are you?" Devin said amused before he nodded, almost doing a damned double take when he caught sight of Elijah wearing those pants...well s**t he hadn't expected that before he realized the other was urging him to get a move on, so tearing his eyes away from the material that covered the others legs he nodded and headed out the door "We can just use the teleportation stones to get there in seconds" Devin said "There's one every few blocks that can take us to the 1st district" He said as he walked down the street " pretty sure you noticed the large stone circles on the way here they all teleport to different locations, the one to the 1st district is this way"
Heading down the road Devin ignored the faint whispers from neighbours as they walked hand in hand and Devin was honestly relieved to get on the damned teleporter stone "Hold on tight...this might feel weird at first" He said as they began to glow softly before there was a strong tugging sensation, then in a blink of an eye they were standing in front of a large busting area a giant building made of black marble stood at the centre "...Here we are...the council building" He said softly, stepping of the teleporter stone with Eijah as he crossed the road and into the building.
"Yesssss?" A thin, lizard like demon asked at reception not looking up at them.
"I'm here to request aid from the council specifically the demon sage?" Devin said as the demon handed him forms, again without looking up "Fill thossseee in and the council will sssee you" He said calmly.
Devin nodded, taking a pen and flopping in a seat to fill out the forms in his own scratchy handwriting "Don't 've worry ve got this" He promised he wrote out the whole thing in demonic runes, he hoped Elijah wouldn't be able to read what he was putting as he requested the council oversee Elijah's wound and heal him.
Once he was done he handed the forms over with a smile "Now we wait...if they don't see is today they might call us back tomorrow"

The angel almost didn't even realize the other had been staring, far to happy to be going out into the districts. It had been a while since he had been through the Black Gates, so any bit of walking around he could do was more than exciting him. Before it had always been difficult, but now that he had the scent of both demons masking his scent, Elijah was more than relaxed, not worrying in the least that they may be outed. The fact that his hair was braided and not loose helped even more.
Following after the other as they walked, the angel didn't bother releasing his hold on the demon's arm, pale eyes turning this way and that before they arrived at the stone in question. It was true, he had never needed to travel by stone before, what with always having Tatsu at his side. His thoughts were interrupted as the two materialized in front of the large structure, his legs shaking slightly as they got use to walking again. He seemed to cling even more to Devin as they went inside, scooting over to watch what he was writing once the paper was taken.
Of course, he hadn't studied much of the language, not being allowed to read much of it save when he was younger back at home. It made things easier when he had to deliver messages. Not being able to read the ancient text seemed to keep him out of trouble more. Of course, when the paper was handed back, Elijah pouted and reached over to tug on Devin's arm slightly. "Hey, what did you tell them? Do you really think they will give you your wings back?" A thought occurred to him then, his eyes brightening. "We can go back to Earth and play in the rain clouds," he pipped up, laughing a little at the thought. The lightening wasn't fatal to them after all.

Devin smiled a little as he shifted in the chair uncomfortably when the other mentioned his wings and flying; he felt bad for lying to the other about their true intentions here, but Elijah was his friend, he never wanted the other to wake up in pain from Cain ever again, he didn't want him to suffer because of him again "I just told them about my wings and mos tof what happened in captivity" he lied with a faint smile before he nodded feeling pained at the thought of never being able to fly again "Yeah maybe they will...and Id really like that" He said with a chuckle.
It was around the afternoon when they were called "Te council wishes to sssseee you now "he lizard like demon said softly as he gestured then down a long hallway before opening a door at the end, inside was a dimly lit room there was a table with chairs for Elijah and Devin to sit and in front of then was a long table of 10 monstrous demons each of then as intimidating as the last "Ah...there you are" One of the demons a dragon like demon in a long robe, with spectacles perched on it's long nose said softly "Please, take a seat...I have read through your request...and before decide to help cure you or not would like to examine the wound to see how severe it is" Te demon said "Now...which one of you is Elijah?"

Nodding a little too fast, Elijah pulled his legs up beside him and turned slightly to lean in against the demon where they sat side by side. "It would be so much fun! Tatsu can't fly on Earth, so it's no fun to play with him," the angel added, sighing a bit. "Just...let me stay like this for a while.." he mumbled, quickly falling to sleep in against Devin.
It wasn't until the silence was broken again that Elijah slowly woke up, nodding a bit as he stood, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes as the two followed after the other demon down the long corridor. Those pale hands never once left Devin's arm as they walked, still waking up from the nap even when they were escorted into the room. The demonic energy within the room, once the door closed, crawled over the angel's skin like a glove; causing his entire body to break out in goosebumps. It had been far too long since he had been in the presents of a higher class demon, let alone so many within one room!
Those pale hands tightened their hold slightly on Devin's arm as the two moved to sit down, pale gaze shifting to the floor quickly. He would just be here, to make sure that the other would get at least an answer as to why he would not get his wings back if they denied the request. Of course, when his name was called instead, Elijah jumped as if he had been stung, straightening quickly. "Ah, yes sir? Are you wanting me to leave? I-I can if you need to have Devin alone," the angel replied, his gentle voice not nearly as intimidating as the dragon before them.
