Skylar just nodded before turning his attention back to the TV. In reality, he was quite happy that the other was not affected by his aura. It was a nice change from the chaos that usually surrounded him. He blinked out of his thoughts when Haruki asked him a question. "Sure. But I gotta get home after as I have work in the morning." he replied with smile as he finished off his cookie, downing it with rest of his soda.

At finding out that the other had to go home after this, Haruki sighed. "At least you are having fun while it lasted. I still have to accompany you, just in case." After all, people would still jump on him and Skylar would end up feeling so vulnerable without his protection. He switched to another channel with the buttons of his remote, going for cartoons this time. Steven Universe was still showing by the time the targeted channel popped out.

Skylar just smiled and nodded. "Yeah. I am having a lot of fun but I have three appointments tomorrow." he replied as he brushed a stand of hair from his face. "Ah. That's very sweet of you, but you don't have to, Haruki." he added with another heart-stopping smile before leaning back to watch Steven universe until it was time for him to leave.

He pouted at the insistence of just leaving him as he was when he was about to leave. "After all, you still need to be protected." His gut feeling was still telling him that there would still be danger if he left Skylar walking alone by himself. He still couldn't shake the feeling of the earlier incidents that pissed the incubus off and the bartender was just one of the few humans that could be trusted. By the time they were done watching the show, he turned off the TV through the remote and stood up from the couch, leaving behind his finished ramekin and soda can. The bespectacled man fetched his coat from the jacket hook. "So, ready to go?"

Skylar gave a inner sigh before giving in."Okay. You can walk me home." he replied as he gathered up his own coat and his bags, making sure he HD berthing before turning to Haruki. "Thank you."
he added win a shy smile. He had gotten offers to be walked home before but only because the person though they were going to get into his apartment as well as his pants but he declined everytime. However, Haruki was different and he was fine with him.

The bartender looked at Skylar's expression and he had to resist the urge to blush. He simply escorted the incubus to the door while fetching his keys. He then locked the door closed while stuffing the metallic pieces into his pocket. "I hope I can still remember the way to your apartment," he said as they walked through the busy streets. Thankfully, there weren't many people crowding the walkway so he was relieved. But on the other hand, he had no topic to break the ice, so there was only silence as they strolled their way there.

Skylar just smiled once again as they started walking. "Do not worry, Haruki. I know the way." he replied as he ignored the various leers from people, mostly guys, on the street despite not many being out. He hated that look but he learned to ignore it. He could tell that the other male was awkward about the silence so he decided to start up a conversation."So, Haruki...what are your parents like?" he asked, glaring at someone who got little too close for comfort. "Or is that too personal a question?" he added, not wanting to offend the other male.

He stopped his footing at the question about his parents. "My parents are infertile, bearing middle age with a few wrinkles here and there, with their skin a bit paler than mine. But still, they are beautiful in my eyes." Of course, he didn't mention about his biological mother who just left him because she had no desire to take care of the son. He would rather forget about that aspect since his current family was good enough to raise him well into who he currently was at this moment.

Skylar blinked when Haruki stopped and he wondered if he had insulted the other. He inwardly sighed in relief when he answered. "Ah. They sound like nice people." he replied with a smile. They had something in common: They were both adopted but even if he was, he loved his adoptive mother more than anything and would be devastated if anything were to happen to her. And once again, he had a feeling that Haruki was hiding something but once again, he let it go. After all, he had his past seminars well.

It wasn't long before they finally arrived at Skylar's apartment. They ventured into the same entrance like the night after the bartender's shift. "Well, I hope to see you after your shift at the clinic, or whichever time you are free." He waited for the incubus in case he wanted to say more before the bespectacled man would leave him to his own devices at his adobe. After all, he had to prepare for work tomorrow as well, with some regulars wanting to party and all that. Someone needs to take charge of the drink station to prevent further accidents from occurring.

Skylar was so sad that their time had Andes so soon but he was assured of the factories he would see the other again. "Thank you again." he replied win a smile as he unlocked his apartment door. "Of course." he added to the second statement. Before going inside, he paused before making a decision. He turned back around, kissing Haruki on the cheek before rushing inside with a slight blush on his face.

Haruki was about to leave as soon as Skylar was about to enter into the complex. However, before he turned on his heel, the incubus kissed his cheek before darting away. Haruki's hand immediately went to the spot and flushed a deep pink, trying to comprehend the current situation. But for now, he just had to go home and collect himself. His reciprocation would wait a bit longer until he was certain on what to do next. After all, he had to make sure that the next step won't hurt the other.

Skylar leaned back against his door, the blush evident on his face, his heart pounding. Why had he done that?! Oh, heal was in so much trouble. With a sigh he headed to the kitchen, seeing his things down on the island counter. Win another sigh he took of his coat, setting it on the couch before heading to the bathroom to run some water for his bath. He made sure to pick everything away, placing his mother's birthday present somewhere secure so he could give it to her when he saw her this weekend which was also her birthday. He could not wait to see her again.

Around ten minutes later, Haruki was back home in his apartment, hanging his coat back on the hook. He immediately cleaned the table, tidying up the kitchen and washing the dishes before arranging them on the dish rack. The memory of the kiss on the cheek was still fresh in his mind and he had to shake his head to clear it off. He silently admitted that he liked the gesture, but it was sudden. The bespectacled man then returned to the living room, turning on the TV to watch the news. The current story was about a vehicular accident occurring near the mall, though it was after they left. He sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose, calling the driver an idiot for breaking the traffic rules.

After his bath, Skylar decided to call his mom to check up on her. They talked for a few hours before he decided to head to bed as he had to get up early in the morning for his appointments. While doing this, he couldn't help but think about his actions earlier and he wondered if Haruki would be uncomfortable. He didn't stay to see his reaction but he hoped he didn't mind. It hadn't really meant anything, just a thank you for being polite and not lusting after him like the other idiots he knew. With a sigh, he decided that he would text or call the other tomorrow and apologize.
