Ryan Damascus is the son of a rich family that happened to be having a dispute with a rival family named the Soriano's. Ryan tries not to concern himself with the quarrels of each family but is left no choice when the two fathers of both clans come to an agreement. An arranged marriage between the two future clan leaders. There is just one problem....both clans only have sons. Ryan and Alastor are forced to go along with the deal and are immediately put into a family home of the Damascus's to live with each other. Alastor and Ryan cannot stand being near each other since they both find each other to blame, but they eventually set aside their differences the longer they live together.

My name is Ryan Damascus and I am 22 years of age, not that it is your business. I am a male and I have only a interest in females which is why this is just ridiculous. I can be seen as mysterious often since I tend to avoid speaking or being around people other than my family. I like having my freedom and I hate what it is my parents are making me do. But other than that, I like music, books, water and sitting outside often. I dislike Alastor Soriano, being told I have a curfew, being pressured into things and days that the pool needs to be cleaned because I won't be able to swim when I want to. I am more of a dominate soul than a submissive one but sometimes I can be lenient if it is beneficial to me. That is all I really feel like sharing right now so I am gonna go take a nap and you have fun with that.

For starters, my name is Alastor Soriano, but everyone just calls me Tori. I just recently turned 23, but I’m told that I still look quite young. I’m a male, but it doesn’t stop me from flirting with my kind; I’m all in for pleasure, doesn’t matter with whom. I would say that I’m quite independent and know how to get people to do what I want, which is probably the only part of me that my father likes. He’s a workaholic and expects me to be exactly the same. I might be a disappointment to him, seeing as I’d much rather be hitting the clubs and partying, than spend my time on paperwork. Even though I don’t enjoy being the center of attention, I do like to have things go my way. I like the idea of spending some alone time with the nature. Coffee is a part of my daily life, and so are one night stands. Having to settle down is one of the worst things I’ve had to do, but at least no one said anything about being faithful. After all, it’d just a piece of paper from city hall.

The air was cool around him, and as he shut his eyes he felt a wave of calm rush through him. He could hear the water move as he float along the water, his ear-buds in his ears as he listened to his waterproof music player that could always be seen attached to his choker. His parents still didn't understand how much he appreciated such a gift. The ability to ignore the world as he float among the water, was so serene. He enjoyed the peace that was his moments in the water alone.

It was another quiet day for him. He felt like nothing was going to change and that he could enjoy it all for as long as possible. But when he suddenly felt a presence in the room and opened his eyes, he knew something was wrong. His father never bothered him when he was in the pool, no one ever did. They knew it was the only thing that kept him sane in a world he couldn't understand.

He shut his eyes a moment as he tried to find the words that would show just how he felt. He must have heard them incorrectly, prayed that he did. His parents were sitting in front of him with faces that could only show the difficulty of what they were saying, and he was sitting across from them. He knew had to of heard wrong if he heard the name Soriano and marriage in the same sentence. The two families hated each other beyond belief, and now they were suddenly having private conversations on marriage? He wouldn't have cared, would be open to the idea if two things didn't factor into the situation. The fact that the families only had male heirs and the fact that he would be marrying Alastor.

He would be what people would call promiscuous, and the complete opposite of the mysterious and quiet Ryan. He saw him on the news before, story after story on his childish escapades, it was no wonder his family was trying to pair him with someone more responsible. When you party and sleep around like he was doing, you often create a bad name for your family. What he needed was someone to tame him. Which was probably why they chose Ryan. He was a man of few words that had little patience with those who live the same lifestyle as Alastor.

Staring at his parents, he still didn't know how to respond. The one thing he has always done was please his parents. But this was the one time he wasn't sure if he could give them what they wanted.
"An arranged marriage...but I thought that the Soriano's only have a son?"

His mother dropped her gaze to the floor as his father sighed. They both looked so very tired. "We are aware of that. Regardless of the odd circumstances, we ask that you consider it. It could be a good move for our families to unite instead of feuding. We want peace with one another." He could understand what they meant, but he was still skeptical. There was no way that Alastor would remain faithful to the image of their marriage and would continue to party and sleep with whoever. It would not only make Ryan look bad, but could give a bad image for both families. If Alastor's parents could speak with him about making his affairs more private, he would agree to the marriage, all for the sake of his parents. "I will agree if his parents can agree to my own terms. Nothing more. If they cannot keep their son's affairs in order and more private, I refuse the arrangement. I do not want the image that you and mother worked hard to create destroyed by some loose idiot that has little thought of his parent's hard work." His parents give a look of relief as they watch at their son, before his father stood and rest his hand on Ryan's shoulder. As he looked up at his father, he felt more confident in his answer when he saw his face full of pride. "That is the answer I expect from the heir of our family. I am proud of you son and I will never forget your sacrifice."

A little help here would be appreciated, mother Alastor said through gritted teeth as he shot a semi-glare towards the woman, who simply shook her head and a mumbled a small ‘Not this time’. To say that the only son and heir of the Soriano family was furious would be an understatement. He was only twenty four years old, and his parents were already trying to get rid of him. This had to be what it’s about. Otherwise, why would they want him to marry someone from a rival family? Alastor was not even bothered about the fact that he’s supposed to marry a guy; that had its own advantages. What he was most annoyed by, was the fact that he had to marry someone he hates. Is that how it’s supposed to work; marriage, that is. Even though Alastor was never the romantic type, he still never imagined getting married this way. It all seemed wrong. He had hoped he’d have a marriage closer to his parents’ marriage. They fell in love when they were just teenagers, and though they were from different social levels, they didn’t let that stop them and eventually got married and had two kids. Well, now they only have one, seeing as one of them passed away. The thought of his older brother made the twenty four year old sigh; he sure as hell didn’t want to end up like him. Before Dorian (his older brother) passed away, he had done the unspeakable act, which to this day Alastor doesn’t know about. All his parents said was that they no longer had two sons, rather only one; Alastor. Of course, even though they had let go of their oldest son, hearing that they actually lost him had broken his parents to pieces; that was seven years ago, though.

Knowing that he didn’t really have a choice about this matter was what bugged Alastor even more. His parents had never really forced him to do anything before, sure they might have tried, but not as much as they’re forcing this marriage onto him. And the fact that his mother wasn’t interfering was a good-enough clue to Alastor that this was a very important thing to both his parents and it should be important to him as the heir. Running a hand through his hair, Alastor got off the chair that his parents had sat him at to discuss this issue I guess I can’t really say it’s a bad idea without giving it a chance Alastor said with a small shrug. His parents knew what this had meant, even though Alastor was a bit too prideful to say it out loud. “You’re doing good, son” Was all that his father said before giving him a pat on the back and leaving the room. I’m getting married and that’s all he has to say Alastor grumbled softly before turning to face his mother, who was in tears and instantly went to hug him. Alastor wrapped his arms around his mother and nodded slowly Yeah, I know He mumbled, not needing to hear the words to know what she wanted to say.

After being left alone to gather his personal stuff, his suitcase had already been packed for him, Alastor laid on his bed with a heavy sigh. I can’t believe I’m getting married before you Alastor said with a bitter chuckle as he stared at the ceiling; something he did quite often. Talking to his older brother didn’t seem weird to him at all, he’d always let the older male know what was going on; wishing that the other can actually hear him. “Tori, the car will be here soon” Hearing that voice made him shift to his side and look towards the door Are you really okay with me leaving? Alastor said with a small smirk as he looked at his little helper. Well, Skylar was more of their household’s butler, but they were close. “I think I’ll survive” The old man spoke with a tone of sarcasm which made Alastor huff before getting off the bed and started fixing his hair. I’ll be down in a minute Alastor said with a small nod before moving to get a few of his belongings, which didn’t take long since most of his things had already been packed for him. After a few minutes of roaming around his room, he finally walked downstairs only to see that the whole staff were standing there to say goodbye. They were all probably glad that he wasn’t there to annoy them anymore, seeing as he had always spent his time with the staff since he didn’t have that many friends on the outside.

After a long goodbye speech from his mother, Alastor had finally succeeded to leave the household. His father, of course, wasn’t there to say goodbye to him; typical. Well, it wasn’t like Alastor was leaving forever. He was bound to go back home at some point, especially since he knew that the other guy will probably hate Tori’s guts. Alastor wasn’t your typical everyday heir. He had studied abroad and, unfortunately for his parents, was easily influenced, especially since he had befriended the wrong kind of people. Not that he regrets it; he considers it to be a good experience that he had learnt a lot from. He does remember the scolding he got as soon as he got back home. Apparently, his parents didn’t like the fact that he had pierced his ears, and around a week after that, they found out that he had pierced his tongue as well; that was the last straw for his father. It was then that his father started becoming strict when it came to anything that had to do with Alastor being the heir. Not that anyone would blame him, he had worked so hard to bring the Soriano’s family name to this level, and Alastor was sure as hell proud to be the heir; even though he often doesn’t act like it.

“We’re here, sir” The driver’s words made Alastor get out of his train of thoughts and cleared his throat. He nodded with a small sigh I told you to call me Tori The male huffed before getting out of the car. Being called ‘sir’ or ‘Mr. Soriano’ made him feel like his father and he certainly didn’t want to be his father’s replacement; rather his successor. His eyes drifted towards the spacious place surrounding the mansion. You can leave now Tori spoke as Leeroy had taken out his suitcases from the trunk and placed them in front of the younger male. “I’ve been given a specific order to stay at your side” He spoke with a certain confidence in his voice which made Alastor grit his teeth. He wasn’t one to get angry, but he did hate when people went against him. And I’m telling you; go home! Alastor said sharply before pulling a grin to his face Besides, I’ll be fine. We’re going to be family soon He continued, referring to the Soriano’s and the Damascus’ being one big happy family. Alastor snorted at his own words before starting to walk towards the big doors, dragging two dark grey suitcases behind him; one on each hand. He had also placed a duffle bag on top of one of the suitcases and held it in a way so it wouldn’t fall.

You know how important this is to your father, so just, don't disappoint us’. These were the words that came out of his mother’s mouth that kept replaying in Tori’s mind. Was he really a disappointment to them? Was that really how everyone saw him? Alastor plastered a smile on his face as the door was opened for him and he walked inside. He nodded slowly upon being told that his so-called future husband was to meet him shortly and escort him to where he will be staying. Now, Tori haven’t really seen the male face to face before, but he has heard lots about him. The goody-two-shoed heir who inherited more than just his position. Was Alastor jealous of him? No way! Alastor was proud of who he has become. Maybe he was a little jealous of the fact that his father would probably rather have Ryan as his son than Alastor.

Lying on his bed, Ryan stared at his ceiling, unsure as to whether he wanted to yell or hit something like he used to do when he was younger. Yes, he was angry that he had to give up the life he had to someone he only met once. But his parents are sure that there is no other option to end the feud, and if it would make them proud...he would go through with it. The part that had seemed worse than the rest was that they made him pack his things and prepare to leave his home. He would no longer lounge in this room, no longer listen to his music as he stared at this very ceiling. It was his home, and he was being told that he had leave it all for a marriage he wanted no part in.

They said that him and Alastor would be living together in the summer home of theirs that was conveniently enough for their parents, far away from both family estates. Of everyone they could of married him off to, he couldn't understand why it had to Alastor. He never met him personally, but he had seen his reputation on the television and heard it from his father as the man ridiculed the Soriano families wild card while reading the paper. With how different their personalities were, they definitely would clash.

His parents finally called for him to come downstairs with his things, stating that the car was waiting for him outside to take him to his new home. His fiancé would be meeting him there, they had told him. Just the word itself made him sigh in defeat. He would never know what it would be like to date, or to hold a girl in his arms and tell her he loved her...he would never fall in love. All because two families just could not coexist. He was going to lose all dignity by having to get married to not only Alastor himself, but to a man as well.

After he had his things in tow and walked out of his room, he turned to look at it all one last time, before shutting the door and walking to the stairs. As he took each step, he could feel the situation sink in and couldn't help the dread he felt. What was happening to them wasn't fair and there had to be someone that knew this.

After saying his goodbyes to his parents and getting into his car, he glances at his home. There were memories he wouldn't forget, and he was sure that he was allowed to visit every now and then. But now, he was facing forward, bracing himself for the future that his parents influenced upon him.
"Will no one see the wrong in this?"

The drive wasn't too long, but it gave the young male enough time to relax against the seat and close his eyes. His ear-buds rest firmly in his ears as he let the peaceful music wash over him. He tried to go for a slow and classical play list to keep him calm, but it didn't seem to be helping as well without a pool's soothing waters. He didn't want to mess this up, didn't want his parents to be disappointed in him, so he was trying as hard as he could to think of kind words to greet Alastor with. Keeping the air light seemed to be the best route, but he didn't know what kind of personality Alastor would greet him with in return.

When he reached the home, he opened his eyes and stared up at the building from his window. It was a place of many memories for him. Playing and laughing with his parents, splashing in the water on hot days and building a fort in the living room. It was a place of good memories, and it was going to harbor more, they just might not be as desirable.

Sighing, the man steps out of the vehicle after the driver opened the door, his hand reaching up to pull away a ear bud from one of his ears. It was still early, so birds were chirping and the small breeze was cool and balanced the heat of the sun perfectly. He didn't see a car yet, but was sure that his fiancé wouldn't be to much longer.

After the driver took his bags inside and left, Ryan changed and took a quick dip in the pool before going to the main entrance and sitting on a stair step. He was dressed in nothing but a towel around his neck, his music playing choker and his trunks. He would have just sat in the pool and let Alastor do as he pleased so they could give each other space, but he thought it best to wait for him. Whether he liked or disliked him or not, letting him get lost in the large summer home by himself was just cruel.

Resting against the wall, he ran a hand through his hair and stared at the door with his ear buds blaring music into his ears. He was prepared to wait however long it was necessary. The best way to handle this was the right way, which meant he would need to be thoughtful and noble. Perhaps if he handled the situation with more care instead of anger and annoyance, things would run more smoothly.

When he heard the car pulling into the driveway, he sat up straight, waiting for the other to approach before he stood and waited for them to enter. Ryan was a pretty tall guy, so he wouldn't be surprised if he was taller than the other. As they entered the home and the servant said that Ryan would be his escort, the taller male stepped forward.
"You must be Alastor Soriano, I am Ryan Damascus, the Damascus family heir." .
