❝In life, work gets you farther than play ever will.❞
On Monday morning, the fifth day of October, Alexander roller off of his bed and onto his feet, pressing the snooze button on his alarm clock as he went. With a yawn, he stretched and rubbed at his eyes. He leaned down and turned his alarm clock off, then sat back down. Today, he would be his first day at a new school, which meant finding new friends, getting new stereotypes, and probably some sort of bullies.
Alex shook his head; who was he kidding? Of course there were going to be people that would bully him. He was, after all, a kid that came from a barely middle class family while all of the kids at this new school were rich and most likely snobby, too. If this school had been any other school, Alex would have denied to scholarship and tried for another school, or he would've gone back to public school. But, this scholarship had come from a very well educated school, though only rich people could pay for their kids to get in.
Enough thinking, Alexander told himself as he stood again, this time to get himself ready for school. The dark haired boy went into the bathroom, took a quick shower, dried and dressed himself, then went to the kitchen to get himself a quick breakfast before he started off to school. Alex took two pieces of bread out of the bread holder and popped them in the toaster, then went to the fridge and got the orange juice out. As he was pouring himself a glass, the toast popped up. He put the orange juice back in the fridge, grabbed the butter, and buttered his pieces of toast.
After eating his first piece of toast and half of the second, then drank all of his orange juice, Alexander hurried back to his room to grab his backpack, which held a couple of notebooks, a few pencils, a drawing pad, and a book. Slinging it over his shoulder, the boy grabbed his toast and went out the door, shutting and locking it behind himself. Now, hopefully the school wouldn't be too bad.
Okay, I'll start then. Is this post good?
