Plot: In a fantasy land, A high-ranking officer known as the "Diavolo Rossoneri" has been captured and offered a new role, by the corrupt queen herself, inside the opposing kingdom after a plan goes wrong. The role; the queen's new bodyguard and assistant as she travels around her kingdom and the land. Swallowing her pride, the woman accepts the task, but how long can she handle working for a woman she assumes is a tyrant? Or maybe this tyrant doesn't exactly turn out what she seems to be.

Name:Rose De Soriano
Nickname: Diavolo Rossoneri
Age:22
Occupation: Previously, General Officer of Romaserri. Now assigned to bodyguard/assistant of the Highness.
Personality:Rose comes off as the strict, silent type, but really just doesn't speak unless spoken to. She prefers to stay more reserved, but everyone has moments of weakness. She is adamant no matter what the task is and is obedient to her higher-ups, but even she has certain boundaries that she will not pass when it comes to orders. She's willing to speak up and make sacrifices for the people that can't.
Likes: Wine, walks at night, the peaceful moments in life
Dislikes: Abuse of power, wrongful acts, violence
Bio: The Diavolo was raised on the outer parts of Romaserri on a farm with her parent and sister. After watching her parents die due to illness at the age of 17, she promised to protect her sister and their land by recruiting into the army as families with members in the army are given certain immunity and privileges that protect and support them. After two years, Rose had already been promoted twice before reaching General officer the following year due to her noble acts and sacrifices. Despite all this, Rose eventually lost her sister to the same illness that took her parents away before the general was sent off for battle once more. Now without loved ones, she drove aimlessly further into the opposing kingdom with her troops which may have lead to her downfall as she lost her troops to the Queen's army, now she kneels before the queen's feet and at her mercy.

Name: Avila Di Slyvaine Lavine
Nickname: Queen of Hearts or Queen Lavine
Age: 24
Occupation: The Queen or rather, in her own words, The World's Queen
Personality: Avila comes across to most people as a heartless demanding woman. She is usually seen striding pridefully and holding a distasteful expression. It seems that she's always upset with something and when she opens her mouth, it's as bitter as her day's tea. However, once she is willing to open up, she's a sort of child. She wishes to be spoiled and demands attention no matter where she is. Avila never likes the idea of dealing with "boring" tasks and prefers to sleep all day or read a book. However, being the queen she has to be, she has the out most duty of showing a merciless queen who strides to make her country a grand one. She would do anything to make her kingdom safe and expand it to make her subjects happy even if it meant having everyone fear her.
Likes: Reading books, Sleeping, Drinking Tea, A plethora of dresses, Running off every now and then, Challenges
Dislikes: Official Meetings, Alcohol (Low Alcohol Tolerance), Being too busy, Roses
Bio: Born into the status of princess was the perfect life for Avila. She was given attention by her servants and lavished with riches from her status. Everything seemed to be waiting for her and would appear with a snap of her fingers. However, due to the lack of love from her parents, she never felt whole. She always felt the need to be with someone or have someone there to fill in the gaps of unconditional love she yearned for...

It was when she was only 13 that she was betrothed to a lovely prince from another kingdom. Avila was beyond excited to know that she could start a family with this other kingdom's prince but a tragic event happened when she had turned 18. The time was just right for the two to finally meet since they were both mature enough to control their "powers" when all of a sudden the Prince eloped with a commoner.

The news of this greatly angered the King and Queen as they sent hordes of their own armies to the allied kingdom. It never stood a chance. Soon the King and Queen began to send more of their armies to other kingdoms that wouldn't accept a marriage of alliance between their daughter and their son. It was indeed dreadful but Avila had no idea the little wars were occurring. Instead, she was spending her time in love with a new servant.

This lover would continuously send her roses every night and steal kisses whenever they met in secret... However, little did she know, the servant was an assassin sent to kill her and her parents. He had used roses to countdown the nights before the end of their deaths because he couldn't bare to kill the innocent Avila without her knowing of her fate. In the end, he succeeded in killing the King and Queen but died by the hands of Avila who had walked in on him. He had literally spilled everything to her and thus drove her to kill.

The next morning, servants walked into the murder scene and saw Avila holding his heart in her hands. As a result, this caused the widespread of rumors saying she was the cause of all the little wars and even killed the "Prince" of whom was formally betrothed to her. That was soon the birth of the Queen of Hearts who was a ruthless loveless woman...

Now, years later with a sort of grace period with uneasy tensions between the other Kingdoms, comes a wandering wolf with a pack of puppies from another Kingdom. To Avila's end of boredom, the fun has just begun.

Night was just falling as flames were being subdued and smoke filled the air casting away the beautiful starry night. The atmosphere of war was being submerged as thousands of soldiers from the land known as Romaserri were retreating from a castle just north of their homeland. Some were struck down by arrows while others managed to get away with minor injuries. It was a tragic scene to watch them run away with their tail between their legs, but with their head command severed from the rest of the body they were useless. Just where was the commander of the Fifth Division and why had they abandoned their own position? Sadly, she was the first to have been caught in this trap despite her plans to keep this an ambush. Had they already known about this rogue fleet's plans? It didn't matter now because the Devil Rossoneri's plans had crumbled a long time ago.

Meanwhile inside the kingdom's walls, a woman, tall and slender, was being escorted quickly through the the halls of the foreign castle in shackles by two guards. Though in this case, she was the foreigner as people placed their gaze upon her peach toned skin and scarlet hair that was like that of a lion's mane. This was the rogue leader, Rose De Soriano, who had lead her men into this hopeless battle. Her armor was tattered with scratches from swords and axes while her face was dirtied with soot from the flames just outside the castle walls. Under all that dirt was a woman who had just witnessed defeat for the first time as commander in this war. She could hear lots of mumbling coming from people who witnessed the humiliation of her being shoved forward with a spear towards her back. The words "Diavolo Rossoneri" could be read from their lips as she looked over at the terrified crowd of people surrounding her as they pointed her out. "You monster!" She could hear being shouted from a woman hiding in the crowd before being pushed through the doors of the throne room.

The woman known as Rose was immediately put to trial before the Queen of World's judgement after her capture. She had heard the title over the span of her time in the military perhaps even before this war started ten years ago. One thing for sure was that her hatred for the queen had slowly grown over the years after witnessing so many deaths thanks to her random attacks. Despite all this fuming anger boiled up inside her she remained composed as she walked only occasionally resisting the guards as they were a bit pushy with her.

The throne room's door were shut behind the general to keep the public from swarming in to hear the hated woman's punishment. "Bow down before the queen's arrival, you scum of Romaserri!" One of the guards ordered before forcing Rose to her knee's. She quickly glanced up at the guard with a scowl despite her position right now. She awaited the appearance of the foul monarch in reluctance, she would now be able to witness the one ultimately despised throughout her country that was known as the Queen for the first time during this god forsaken war. Just what kind of villain was she about to encounter?

Avila Di Slyvaine Lavine

The night had a lovely shower of stars. Bright burning stars. Looking out into the window, Avila mentally witnessed the glowing ground floor from where the stars had fallen. The crisp almost crunched smell of churning wood spilled its way into the large study room she was in. The books all around her could not topple over the smell with their sense of adventure. In her own opinion, the smell might as well swallow the old book scent and possibly fulfill her wish to escape her Queen binds in her dreams. It would have been a pleasant evening but of course the life of a Queen was never pleasant for long.

"My lady, please excuse me of interrupting but we have captured Diavolo Rossoneri from our borders. She is in the throne room and awaiting your sentence." Called out her dear elder servant from the crack of her door. Really, was she all too scary for her eldest servant to come alone into the same room as her? She didn't believe she was a monster of sorts... Despite being a pure supernatural breed. However, even with her background, the servant was among the few that have stayed with her since childhood. Really. People do change when one gets caught killing an assassin. The memory brought the dull pain back into her heart. Will she ever find someone who will love her like he did? If she did, hopefully they didn't have a knife ready to poke at her.

Avila rose up from her chair and strode herself to the door. As an instinct, the servant opened the doors for her and allowed the Queen to walk to the throne room. Ah yes the brilliant lively colors of the halls were glittering again. Her maids must have put their back into the polishing and sweeping of the halls. They were fit for a queen and all of those who attended the castle. However, no other noble person of status rarely visited her. If one did, well... Let's just say their heads were no longer attached.

In the distance, she saw an enormous crowd swarming the doors. Their cries of anger rang through to her and it had bothered the peace she wanted to hold. Who on this soil was this person the crowd was throwing blasphemies at? It was only when she cleared her throat that a guard, behind the crowd, noticed the Queen. "Make way for the Queen!" The guard shouted and almost in an instant, the crowd was silenced. They quickly turned to see the Queen and parted like the Red Sea with a path clear for her to proceed. Finally. Everyone was finally looking at her. With a step forward, she walked to the throne room with her head up high, chest out, and hands resting on her abdomen. Another guard had opened the door and shut it behind her. Time to put on her show.

"Her Highness, Avila Di Slyvaine Lavine, has entered." A servant announced as she strode over to her throne. Avila did not bother to look at the prisoner until she had sat down. Her hands rested on her lap and her posture was straight with her chest out. When she laid her eyes on the prisoner she was surprised. Surprised that she was-
"A woman?" She harshly responded.

Rose De Soriano

Rose sat their quietly as she awaited the presence of the Queen. Despite the throne room doors blocking off the rowdy crowd that had followed her, they were not soundproof one bit as she could hear shouting and yelling coming from the other side of those doors. Obviously wanting her head on a platter for causing their kingdom such problems. Even the guards weren't the most friendly to her which was to be expected since she was the authority figure behind this whole raid. Too bad it didn't go how she wanted it too, otherwise she would have this queen below her boots and her army cheering her on over their triumphant victory. Oh how she could dream right now.

As she meditated on her actions, she caught wind of the sudden silence that fell beyond the doors. She turned her head to the door as she heard someone's muffled shouting before the doors swung open. From the doorway a young woman entered with such regal strides that made it obvious that she was the reason Miss De Soriano was here for. "Queen Lavine huh?" She thought to herself as she raised her brow at the woman passing by her. Though the woman did not return the look until she sat down which riled up a fire in Rose. She made a small movement but was forced back down to her knees by the guards behind her.

After she had a full glance of the woman, she could tell she was indeed high class and pure bred royalty. That posture spoke confidence and that of a woman who knew how to run an empire with ease. That hair looked as black as the soul inside her, but beautiful enough to deceive angels into how holy she looked. When her eye's finally rested upon Rose, she felt uneasy at the superior atmosphere of the queen's shrouding over her. It made the commander shutter just a little bit in excitement to finally meet her adversary in tonight's battle.

The queen's response to the Diavolo's gender was such a common reaction now to Rose that she couldn't help but smirk at the woman. "Surprised that a woman could command havoc on your own land, Your Highness?" She finally spoke up as a little bit of blood dripped from her lips. She bit her lip earlier when the guards managed to tussle with her at the south gates of the Queen's kingdom. She could taste how foul her own blood was and could easily compare it to the person she knelt before. "You're not the only damsel here that hold's some power in this confrontation tonight. Although I wasn't hiding inside like you were during the fight." She spoke once more with a proud voice before spitting blood that left a horrible taste in her mouth on to the tiled floor beside her. The guards' restraint on her tightened afterwards, which made her wince and silence herself before edging them on any further.

Avila Di Slyvaine Lavine

"Surprised that a woman could command havoc on your own land, Your Highness?" The prisoner's words echoed in her mind. Indeed she was surprised. It was a first for her to know that a woman, a delicate butterfly, to suddenly be some animal that was bleeding all over her floor. Honestly, even the bleeding animals knew it was best to bleed in the kitchen or leaking humans to be in the dungeon. The throne room was no place for such dirty act to be spitting on as it was a place for the fancy to look upon and be judged in a clean manner. It seems to be that this woman didn't know where to bleed. Pity. More work for the maids.

Avila watched the curves of her mouth wave towards her. There were trembles after every word she had puffed at her as if Avila was one of the three little pigs. The woman was attempting to blow her house down with that voice of hers. It was clear to hear that she was prideful of her words but it was too haughty for Avila's taste.
"Indeed you seem to be another 'damsel' with 'some' power." Avila said as she gave stared at the woman with a cold gaze. "However, behind my 'hiding' place, you are kneeling before me." She replied as she entwined her fingers together.

"Between the two of us, it is clear I have more power behind me than you who has no power at all." She paused for a moment to look at the blood the woman had spat previously and soon back to her. "Only ghosts of your comrades were behind you as you commanded the so called, 'havoc,' onto my land." Avila rose her fingers up and rubbed her thumb against her middle finger. "The only way your ghosts could break break into my kingdom is through their ashes and even then would they be nothing but dust on a shelf. Her hand rested back on her lap as she rose her head higher to look down upon the scarlet woman.

"This all but leads to who you are? Why are you, as a woman, willing to lead such ghosts to the battle against the Queen of Hearts? Surely you know my reputation and how ruthless I am with those who oppose me."

Rose could feel that fire rise in her stomach again at these words the Queen dished at her. How dare she speak of her men like they were useless to this fight. Dead or alive, they all managed to put an effort into this attempt when they could be home with their families. She couldn't ask anymore of them to do than just that, be a benefit to make their land one that would one day prosper. They all had really loved their country and their people, something Rose at the moment was lacking of at the moment. To be reminded that they died under her command made her clench her fist and grit her teeth between that smile of her's as if the queen was standing over her with a blade lodged in her chest.

All of these things were true as the queen had pointed out though. "Your men lost and I won." Is what she was trying to make appointed to everyone in the room. She was pointing out who was dominant and who was submissive, but Rose was anything but submissive. Despite the queen holding her head high over her like the alpha she was, this rogue dog had a look of one that would leap if stroked the wrong way. Her eyes menacingly leered up for a moment at the Highness before showing a face with serenity and a smile. "But it got your attention, yes? And it also got me here! That would settle well with them knowing you saw Romaserri as a threat even if it was for a day." she explained as she adjusted herself some from where she sat.

"We've all done outrageous things when our emotions lead our actions, correct? Out of all those emotions, I'd have to say love leads us to the craziest actions and irrational thoughts." The general began to explain to the queen in response to her question. "six years ago, you laid siege on our country and destroyed the lands outside of Romaserri, which low-class families had used for farming and to live a life. Once you ruined that land, my parents fell ill and eventually died a year later due to the fatigue and stress of raising my sister and I with little money. After losing things i loved for the first time, I realized I needed to get back at you. I worked hard to go up the ranks until I could have a fleet of my own to fight against you for 4 more years. Just this week, I got news that my sister had died of the same illness that took my parents. That would be the second time I lost something important in my life because of you. Now, you've taken out maybe two-thirds of my troops who I also cared deeply for. You've taken away everything I, Rose De Soriano, have loved."
Rose further explained as she didn't break eye contact with the women before breaking away from the guards after all her rage was built up.

The guards closest to the queen charged at Rose with their weapons, but were swiftly discarded of by Rose's counters and movements. She continued her assault on the queen, "I came here to find out what caused you to start such a ridiculous fight with my people and also. . ."She was practically in the queen's lap as she towered over her and her throne before two halberds of back-up guards blocked off her path to the queen. She was shuttering with rage as she couldn't make it any farther to her target. Her hair covered her face, but under those locks were tears streaming down her face in front of the queen. ". . .I came here to find some way to stop you. . .in case I ever found something I loved and you wanted to take that away from me as well. You heartless. . .stupid tyrant!" Rose hiccuped at the queen as she showed her face to the woman with an expression that looked as if she was giving up everything to see this woman stopped before being pinned down to the floor by the following four guards that she managed to avoid. She laid their with her face being buried down in to the rug under the queen frustrated at how her attempt was furthermore thwarted.

"Love has made me stupid on this verge of stopping you. I'm not scared of who you might be or what you could do to me, but if I could calm or prevent this violence of your's from involving more lives than it already has, I'm willing to try."

Avila Di Slyvaine Lavine

Avila's mind was blanketed by silence but her ears were keen to the scarlet woman's words. They made her heart beat like the pounding of a war drum and woke up emotions she had laid to rest years ago. It was like a wave of nostalgia that swam over her and brought her youth of mind back to the present. She hadn't even realized how her fingers were trembling. How long had it been since she had felt something so overwhelming just from words?

Her words made Avila evaluate all she had done within her reign. She had never realized the lives she had swallowed away with her wars. All she had been focused on was creating a better world under her rule. She knew that she would treat her people well if she expanded her kingdom but never did she think of the others outside of her walls. The sight of the woman pouring her heart out changed that. It now had made sense why she held such a terrible title and why she was feared by those she had known since she was younger. She had developed a shell of a monster to show everyone what she was trying to destroy. What irony.

However, despite the mere surface of the woman's declaration, Avila peered deeper into the Rose. The familiar flower with white thorns at its stem. It must have been another beautiful sign for the near end she was waltzing to. A gentle whisper to guide her away from danger and lure her to another bruise on her heart? Her heart had already taken enough abuse for its lifetime and she only had one heart to hold. How would she handle this incognito heartbreak if it were to happen? Well whoever, the holy being above or puppeteer, was stirring something grand and De Soriano was the sign sent by them. However, was De Soriano a good sign or a bad sign?

"Rose De Soriano..." She spoke after the long due silence. The two guards in front of her parted to the sides of the Queen as she had a better look at the woman. "You declare that 'love' is all I have taken from you." Avila started as she carefully slipped her elegant fingers down to the fiery hair. In the background, the guards had tensed and were awaiting to protect the Queen as Avila felt a sense of fiery spirit emitting from the woman's hair. "You wish to calm the storm I have stirred among my wars by attacking me because of the loss of those you love. However, how can you extinguish the monster if you continue to feed it nothing but wolves?" Avila asked as she motioned the soldiers to lift the woman's head to where they were somewhat eye level. "Why not be the wolf to stop this greedy monster by being this monster's shield and sword?"

She was sure she saw the muffled screams of outrage from those who were in room. Indeed, it was strange even for her to propose that this woman be her bodyguard when she had millions of others to choose from but this woman was a rose. A rose. Rose. For just a moment or a moment more to have a reminder of her innocence is what she needed now if she was to die soon. Only one.

Professor Wi-Fi
Ah~! Sounds like fun.

Also, I had no idea how many mistakes I had made in my last post. I was so tired, I thought everything was good.

Also also, does this post make any sense to you? If It doesn't, I can always edit it.

Rose De Soriano

Rose felt absolutely weak to be crying to this woman, but everything that she had confessed was true. She really wanted to see peace once again instead of the death of her friends and family, but with none left who would she share such serene moments with? She had been wondering that ever since she heard the news of her sister's death. Who could fill that role that had played such importance in her heart? She still wondered that as she laid there on the Queen's floor despite the guards letting go of her. They knew she wouldn't jump again otherwise it was sure execution on the spot.

She hoped that at least her actions and words had gotten through to her adversary. At this point in Rose's life this woman was the only thing that fueled the general's emotions. She was the only being in this realm that had any emotional connection to her even if most of them were negative emotions and these two were just strangers to one another. Avila was the one string that she had hung onto these past few days from driving her to insanity or worse, death.

She could hear the Queen's voice ring in her ears as she laid before her. She couldn't help but to flinch at the touch of her hand against her hair expecting the worst to happen. Before she knew it, she felt the woman's guards pull her hair so the two were making eye contact to one another. Her eyes were still watery from her tears and let out a gasp as she wanted to scream at the guards for their roughness, but she held back for the little dignity she might have still had left. She listened to the queen's words and knew she was right, how would fighting her stop the violence? She tried to look away in denial from the queen's words as she sniffled, but was forced by the guards to look back up at her. She was trying everything to resist them, but when she heard the queen's proposal, the Diavolo's resilience when limp as she stared wide-eyed in surprise at the queen.

"Wh-what?" She spoke in a hushed but astonished voiced, "Are you asking me to be your bodyguard?" Rose couldn't believe her ears at this offer. She just tried attacking her though! Did Rose's words actually get to her? Rose was quiet for a moment and a puzzled look was across her face as she looked at the floor as if in thought. Her answer could potentially save her country and other's if she chose wisely. It was an obvious answer for her when she put it that way then, her mere life under the queen's reigns instead of the millions out there.

"If. . .if it means that I can save my men and other's lives possibly, then you really only give me one option. . .your Highness." Rose said as a look of relief appeared on her face. "I would gladly stay at your side and protect you, but in return could you call off your men from attacking what's rest of mine? Some of those men have families that they want to return to one day. It's my last request to make on the behalf of my country before I leave my homeland for you. Please!" She pleaded with her new ruler as she laid there on the floor.

Avila Di Slyvaine Lavine

The Queen eased herself back into her chair. Ah yes. There was always a bargain whenever she wanted someone to be hers. Letting her men free and allowing them come back with a bigger army was something risky. One woman for a bigger army or one small army for the loss of a woman? She pursed her lips and looked at one soldier with a glare as she was deep into her thoughts. This soldier had a family, she was sure. The wage for being apart of the Queen's army was well enough to feed a family for the winter or to lay with women somewhere deep in the shadows of her kingdom. However, it seemed to be that the Avila was more frightening than the dream of a fat pocket. Surely if the woman stayed, she could encourage more men to join and possibly wipe out the opposing army. Yes. It seemed about right.

Avila raised her fingers up and motioned De Soriano's wish to be executed.
"If it is a small price to have you in the palm of my hand, so be it." She said as a slightly more decorated solider left the throne room. Waiting till he had left the room her eyes wavered over to the woman. Her eyes glowered down to her new bodyguard as a fit warning to the words she said next. "Do hope that your little group of men don't wander back into our lands. I won't be so graceful as you saw tonight." She forewarned and laid her hand back to rest. If the woman did oppose the next time, Avila would have to show her place personally... Whatever that had meant.

With her thought finished, she rose from her throne and gracefully stood before her.
"Once my general comes back, he will go to your room and present you proof of our withdrawal since you may be skeptical of your new master. I would not blame you if you did. After all, my reputation does proceed me." She said with her eyes wandering away from the woman. Hopefully this was something that would ease Rose's heart or something to condemn some of the things she had done to her. Saving other lives to blanket the ones the woman had lost. However, it probably would not work at all. It was a trade after all and lives were priceless.

Avila gracefully passed the woman with her voice arising.
"Do rise up, De Soriano. I except a clean bodyguard in my chambers within the hour. Not a second more." With that as her end, the doors of the throne room opened before her and a group of maids bowed before her as she walked away. The scurrying of their footsteps into the throne room thrilled her as it was a sign that there would finally be something fun to lighten the mood of the dreaded castle. Someone to walk beside her as she dreamed to herself, someone to be there to have a decent conversation with, and someone to be there for her no matter what... But... They were just fantasies... Rose was only there because she wanted to save her people. Not be with her. Avila sighed and walked her way to her chambers with sad clouds floating around her mind. She hoped she didn't make the wrong choice making Rose her bodyguard.

Nervousness swelled inside Rose as she realized her offer was risky for the queen. Those that escaped would possibly come back with Romaserri militia ready to attack her new Majesty's castle. But that scenario had small odd's since this battle was against orders. When Rose came here, it was a declaration of deserting her position in the army and going in on a suicide mission. Her troops understood the motives of their general and willfully followed despite the chances of them dying. This was all for the hope that Rose could cause a change and that she exactly did. To see the Queen grant her wish eased her worries and if even by the slightest, have a change of heart for the woman.

"I understand . . .my queen. . .thank you." she chimed in as she heeded the queen's warning along with her following orders. It was going to be weird to get use to saying that especially considering who it was addressed to. She had to find the time to figure out what exactly what she wanted Rose to call her by.

She stood there and watched as the Avila made her leave while her Majesty's maids rush passed Rose to clean up the mess she made. She was still in astonishment that this woman could offer her a position within her kingdom after the stunt she had just pulled tonight. Not only that, but one that put De Soriano within such personal range to her. "Does she really have that much faith in me that I won't stab her in the back?" She pondered in the throne room as she touched the arm of the Queen's seat. She was in the middle of the Queen's nest, if she did go as far as to kill her in her own palace, she would be killed on spot no doubt about it. This thought easily persuaded the Diavolo to not betray this woman's trust then. For some reason it made her smirk that somebody went so far just for her though, she had to make sure she repaid the favor by keeping Avila safe then. She did just give the lass a new purpose in life.

"I'm sorry everyone, but it looks like my time isn't near yet. . .just be a little more patient." She said to her self as she thought of everyone that had risk their life for her today. As she stood their looking at the door the Queen had exited from, she could feel this chilling stare from numerous directions. Was it everyone in the room with her? Probably. But there was one far worse than that, the maids. Scarlet was a heaping clunk of dirt at the moment and they saw this as their accursed enemy. Their eyes said it all as they stared at her dirty tracks she brought in and her grimy face, she needed a bath. "Another battle has started!" Rose mentally panicked before she was swiftly carried off to the bathroom by the party of hygienic obsessed women as they all bickered at her about how dirty she was. "J-j-just wait a second! I don't need your assistance! I can clean myself!" She shouted in a blushed face over them as they rushed her through the corridors of her new living space. Her voice was once again causing an uproar throughout the Queen's castle. She now had to resist these women as she clung on to the door post of the women's bathing quarters, stripping her of her armor and clothes. It wasn't soon before her mucky hands gave way and lost their hold as she was dragged to the tub immediately and crowded by women with brushes, soap, and shampoo as if they were about to wash down a puppy who had just rolled around in mud. They knew they need to make this monstrosity of a woman look pleasing to the queen's eye if she wanted Rose to attend her chambers. "Please be gentle." She whimpered as she was given the scrubbing of her lifetime that she would later compare to bathing in hell.

After her traumatizing bath, she was spotless and shined differently then when she arrived at the kingdom. Now she actually looked as if she was not raised in a barn, but from the aristocratic parts of the cities. Her wild, scarlet hair glowed as if it was actual fire and her face was that of elegance once they removed that mask of dirt that covered her face. From there the maids led her to her quarters which was right down the hall from Avila's, which was very convenient for Rose's sake. Once they were in her room, she was offered clothes in which she requested a white blouse top and a pair of black pants and dress shoes while she received the news from the general of her majesty's withdrawal from pursuing her remaining fleet. This eased her even more knowing that the Queen did indeed keep her promise. Now it was her turn to keep her part of the deal as she was fully dressed and ready to meet with her new client. She thanked the maids and general for their help before making her way down to her new superior's chamber.

"Your Majesty," She knocked on the woman's bedroom doors, "it's Rose. May I come in?" Just what exactly was in store for the Diavolo Rossoneri and her new life as a bodyguard to the Queen of Hearts?

Avila Di Slyvaine Lavine

On her way to her chambers, she had somehow managed to walk to the library room. It was as if her body knew how troubled her thoughts were and guided her to her sanctuary as she bickered to her mental self. It was soothing to think it was like that. Her mind, body, and soul needed to be soothed, especially after her tiring day. It was best for her to be by herself for a little while before she went back to her room with the stiff mask of hers. Avila looked behind her and then around to see if there was anyone in sigh of the library room. No guards or servants were in the way and she opened the doors herself then slipped inside with an eager smile.

The smell of her books welcomed her and awakened the child inside her. It seemed to have been centuries to be back in this room despite it being only a day. She searched for a candle by the door and plucked up the hidden candle stand she had stashed away underneath the bundled blankets residing beside. Avila felt the familiar weight of the candle stand and immediately gave up finding the candle. It was easy to feel that the last candle she had used before wasn't entirely used up yet. What small luck she had and how it gave her a small smile. From a breeze through her lips did the candle light up and allowed her to venture through the library. Avila took deep intake of the musty page smell and walked around the library, stalking her next adventure.

Almost an hour had past as Avila rested on top of a cluttered table with a book above her. The candle had been dangerously set next to her head as she giggled to herself. Within her time of reading, she had heard live yelling outside the walls of her sanctuary. It was the first time in forever had she heard something so happy near her. Usually, there was silence or hushed whispers when she was in the library or anywhere else. Her status had caused that and it saddened her greatly... However, it seemed that a good change was coming and her daily mood was going to change to something cheery. It was a wealthy thought.

As if it was planned for her fun to end, the candle dimmed and snuffed out of existence. There was she was in darkness with a frown of distaste. It was always the moments when she was starting to get comfortable that it was time for her to leave her true self behind. She murmured out a curse and addressed herself back to the Queen after she stepped down from the table. Honestly, if she wasn't Queen, she would have been sleeping all day in her room and-

A shock electrocuted her senses. Her room. The bodyguard was going to be in her room. Avila panicked as she realized her mistake for going to to library. Rose was going to discover that the Queen wasn't in her chambers even though she was the Queen who said she was going to be in her room. Avila was going to lose her liability as a Queen and be a troubling Queen who would seem to sneak off to meet with someone. The rumors and more gossip would appear to drag her down into her grave. With the finish of her thought, she dashed out of the library and left her dead candle in the room.

Within minutes did she make it to her room and out of breath. How shameless of her to do that? Almost unable to keep her promise would be wrong to morals. She tried to catch her breath but then her bodyguard had knocked on her door. Perfect timing. Such... Terrible perfect timing for her bodyguard to come when she was breathing heavily. With a jump in her bed and the shuffling of her bed sheets was she ready.
"Come... in, Rose." Avila huffed as she lifted her bed sheets over her lap and her hands resting on them. Hopefully Rose didn't see how she was sweating or breathing heavily... No. It was obvious she was going to see them but Avila muffled those thoughts out.

Rose stood behind the door running her hand through her damp hair as waited for an answer. She could hear a lot of noise coming from inside that noise, the ruffling made it sound as if it was coming from the bed. She was ready to knock a second time before she could hear the Queen's muffled voice inviting her in. She sounded a little winded to the Diavolo, just what was that woman doing in there? Then again that could have been the result of too much water in her ear from the maids practically dunking her head under the water as well.

She opened the door as she entered into the Queen's room, "Never have I met a group of people so driven by cleanliness. I swear your maids have no idea how to hold back when it comes to-" She cut herself off as she looked at Avila with a confused look. The woman looked so beautiful and proper as she sat their in her bed, but she looked as if she had been frantically running about the place. Her breathing was off the charts and she was breaking out in a little sweat! "What the hell were you doing in here?" was written all over Rose's face as she slowly closed the door behind her and approached the foot of the queen's bed.

"Are you alright?" She asked with clear concern for her Majesty. There was an awkward silence between the two for a moment as all that was echoing through the room was Queen Lavine's heavy breaths. She knew if she had enough energy she would obviously lie to her by saying nothing was wrong. She couldn't help but try to figure out what she could have been doing this late at night that left her in this state in bed.

"Let's see. . .it's a an hour past midnight and I was just attacking her castle which probably put her under a lot of stressed. She looks as if she had just been doing something active, but then again, it's late at night." She looked around the room. "It doesn't look like anybody has been in here except her. So what she could possibly have been doing?" She asked herself as she touched her chin in her own thoughts. None of the servants had mentioned an illness to Rose, but then again they probably would blame her for anything in a heartbeat just so they could off her as soon as possible. Then again, the maids were nice and so was the general, maybe she was just having a biased opinion that these people were scheming towards her demise. Maybe she just really pushed herself tonight after all that. "No way, that pretty face looks like it's never really pushed herself a day in her life." Her mind began as she glanced at Lady Lavine.

"Focus!"Her face lit up in a bright blush before she finally spoke up. "Do I need to leave so you can sleep some? We can leave whatever it is you wanted to discuss for in the morning if you're too worn out. It has been a stressful night and I can understand if you need rest." The scarlet woman asked as she looked over her shoulder at the door. Despite the heated scene that had just happened down in the throne room, De Soriano had a caring side that was kindly raised into her by her mother. Her mom always had the dumbest belief that even all things bad were once born good. Whenever she said that, Rose and her sister wanted to dry heave over a bucket from such sappy words. "Plus I can't have you dying an hour after you offered me this job. I don't know who I'll be more mad at; you for not even giving me the first hour to save your royal arse or me for letting you die." Rose joked as she crossed her arms at the Queen while giving the most playful of smirks. Her dad's funny bone was passed onto her which she wasn't too happy to hear.

Avila Di Slyvaine Lavine

The mental Rose had her hands around Avila's throat. She was choking on her own lies but she made no sound. Instead she kept her straight face and focused on regulating her breathing. She was being a savage woman than being a lady at all. How un-lady like and un-queen like of her to do such a thing. Her late parents would be embarrassed to have known her daughter had done such a thing. In fact, they probably would have dragged her down in their graves.... What a grave thought.

Once Avila had gotten her breathing back to normal and her attention off of it, she finally looked at Rose. Earlier she wasn't actually looking at Rose but just a base of her face. Her eyes scanned over every detail that was in front of her and absorbed most of what she could. The way Rose's hair was untamed was something she mostly absorbed in. It was clear to see that it was a little damp as the tips dripped droplets on the shoulders of her shirt but still her hair was like the mane of a lion. It was out and glorious. How did she have that kind of hair? Was it because she was a Romaserri? She thinned her lips as she thought hard about it.

However, this Rose woman suddenly made her giggle.
"Why no, silly! It won't be that easy to kill me-" She slapped her hand over her mouth in shock. It was completely involuntary the way she had dropped her Queenly voice and popped in her unformal way of speaking. Rose had caught her off guard with saying such a joke and she wasn't paying much attention to her role as the Queen. Her face slowly bloomed into a light shade of red as she averted her eyes. How embarrassing.

"Excuse me of my rudeness, De Soriano." She whispered in embarrassment. "It... Has been a while since someone has been so friendly with me... Avila hushed out as she lifted her knees up and buried her mouth in her hand. "Please don't tell anyone of that embarrassing display. That will be your first order as my bodyguard." Avila cowardly ordered as she looked down and slowly peeled her fingers from her lips. It was such a waste to have her first order to be keeping her laughter as a secret. It was completely petty and unworthy to be called a order! Her giggling should have been a favor than a order but Avila was a sort of petty woman when it came to such things.

Avila cleared her throat and gained her composure with her hands on her knees.
"A-Anyways, I asked you to come here to my chambers to know that you will be watching me 24/7. You will not have enough sleep with me around and I am warning you beforehand with this. Also, it is strictly prohibited of you to speak to any other noble who is above your status." Avila instructed as she slid her legs down. "That includes me. You may only speak to me in my room, when we are alone, or when it something demands my attention." She said as she brushed a strand of hair from her eyes.

"Is that clear, De Soriano?"

Kidding around like that made Rose think that the Queen would have no amusement from such dark humor like that. She was ready to ask if this was reality when she heard the Queen reply with a giggle. "That was her was it not?!" Her thoughts asked easily more astonished than her face claimed. One hand covered Rose's mouth as to not give away an amused grin that was cracking as she had finally seen some emotion on that royal face of her's for the first time tonight!

Oh, and the Queen's immediate reaction afterwards was to die for! To see this woman become so meek and embarrassed was like witnessing a child after being caught stealing desserts before dinner. Avila was too cute to handle as she laid there in bed. Was this going to be a regular thing to witness while here with her? Obviously not as Rose heard her first official order to be remain silent about what she had just seen. She could see why a clue of emotion could come off as a sign of weakness that could ruin her reputation to her servants, guards, her kingdom, or with allied forces. Then again was it so bad that she has to hide away such a merry voice like that? Romaserri's king and queen were kindred souls who were never afraid to burst out in laughter. It would be a surprise if you didn't hear it once a day from them. Sadly, an order was an order as she cleared her throat and nodded her head unsure of what to say after witnessing what she did.

The Diavolo stood tall and at attention before she was given her commands as the Queen's bodyguard. It sounded tedious to be up 24/7, but then again she wasn't much for sleep anyways. After war you were always on your toes and were never sure when something lethal was going to be thrown your way. She wasn't much of a talker unless spoken to. The only people she would often talk to were close friends and family, but with none around who would that be? Something was telling her that she was going to be very bored attending to such an uptight woman if she had to ask for refinement of her mere laughter.

When asked if her orders were understood she finally spoke up."I understand, Your Highness." De Soriano replied, "Sounds like the two of us are going to become the best of friends in our leisure. I would complain, but if I can get more cute outburst like the one you just had in private, I'll consider being silenced the rest of the time worth it. Please don't feel restrained from doing so while around me." she commented with another heart-warming smile as she strolled about the room. "Hearing such a. . .gleeful and euphoric voice like that during the evening really soothes me after the couple nights I've had. Makes me realize I'm still alive and humane. . . " She spoke as she looked out a window at the night sky, unlit and abysmal as ever. The only thing to compliment it was the radiant haze of the full moon tonight. Never failed to soften Rose's distraught thoughts when she felt so worn out.

"Wouldn't you agree?"
