Plot: In the vast & mythical of Grandia, there are those who travel the lands in search of finding adventure, amazing treasures, and making themselves legends in tales by dungeon diving. One certain woman, Alexius Bellamore, is a wanderer of the land who seems to be looking for something that isn't the typical plunderer's treasures. During one of her many misfortunes, Alexius frees a fellow captive from their cell and only requests her company in travels to return the favor. What exactly will these two women get their selves into while they journey across the many continents Grandia has to offer.

Name: Alexius Bellamore
Age:24
Birthday:September 15, 1724 R.B.
Homeland: Adestania (since she woke up in the forests of the country)
Zodiac: Virgo
Height:5'10
Personality:Outside of battle, Alexius is a calm and aloof woman tending not to speak unless spoken to. Those that have spoken to her believe her to be a bit out of it due to her belief that she feels unusual to the rest of the people in Grandia. She appears unassuming and somewhat lazy, showing absolutely no interest in the power struggles going on between the several factions of Grandia. Although she is always shown with a proper attitude, when she's in battle she shows a wilder side. She will join in on a fight if it is deemed an obstacle to her own goals. Those goals are forever finding out who exactly she is and why she was placed on Grandia. To do so, she is willing to side even with a complete stranger, for as long as she is certain that the person in question will give her the answers she seeks. Despite her own intentions, she is still a loyal person as she looks over those she deems friends with a silent but caring attitude.
Likes: Napping, individuality, independence, learning about her past, stargazing, spicy foods & fruits
Dislikes: Sweets, confinement, loud people, indecisiveness, liars, and those that do not keep their promises.
Background:There's not much to Alexius as she can hardly remember her past or who she was before awaking. She was found naked and victorious over a defeated terawolf before being brought back to a town outside of Adestania's capital by a trading caravan. Once there, she learned of the grander world that she lived in and of the many things called dungeons that held vast treasures and knowledges of the world, but were plagued with dangers that took many lives. Hoping whatever was the source of this knowledge could enlighten her with information as to whom she may be, she ventured to the capital to conquer a trial in it's dungeon.

Successful through the dungeon's challenges, the amnesiac was rewarded not with knowledge, but a sword only she could wield while other's were deemed unworthy of it's possession. The only other thing offered to her was a clear encryption in her head that she understood as "Onward." After the completion of the dungeon, Alexius found herself confused but positive that more dungeons would help answer her questions. Without a second thought and her sword in hand, she left the capital behind her to become a dungeon diver. Now the only thing leading her forward is to learn who she was in the past and why she could not remember any of it.

Name: Vellen Elorind
Age: 20
Birthday: May 11, 1728 R.B.
Homeland: Cordia
Zodiac: Taurus
Height: 5'2
Personality: Living in tight knit groups for most of her life has made Vellen wary of strangers, while traversing the seas has made her bold and dependable. Although always ready for a fight, she prefers to share a laugh with her friends over good wine and better food. Vellen can be stubborn if she believes her way is right, but can be swayed more then she would like by those that seem set in their own convictions. Cheerful and talkative, she's usually ready to lend a hand; especially if the reward's good.
Likes: Nature, comradery, savory food, good stories and new experiences.
Dislikes: Stinginess, cowards, slavers, sour tastes and being manipulated.
Background: Like many elves Vellen hails from the Cordian forests that border Adesntania but she's what most would call a bilge rat. Small yet frequent skirmishes with neighboring tribes and the seemingly constant of slavers and merchants passing through left Vellen's small village in turmoil. Seeking better for their family, her parents headed to the sea and took up work. Her oldest memories of lush forests have given way to the briny tang of the sea, all that's familiar is the wooden decks of any ship that will take her.

Though bawdy tales and rolling waves sustained her for many years, it's the time docked in port that now calls to the young elf. Hearing stories of grand dungeons brimming with treasures filled her with a fresh sense of adventure and set her curiosity ablaze. With a heavy heart Vellen bid farewell to a crew that had become her family and set off to find her first dungeon with nothing but a set of daggers and the clothes on her back.

Under other circumstances Vellen would admit that the day was pleasant, even if a little too hot. The sky was a clear blue as the sun beat down upon the stone streets of Adestania, it's rays only broken by the shadows of large marble pillars and buildings. Awnings of every color swathed stalls holding anything from glittering trinkets and treasures to ripe, juicy fruits. The marketplace was alive with people trying to sell their wares and have the voices reach over their neighbors. Citizens moved at a brisk pace as they ran errands, weaving through the slower travelers who were their simply to enjoy the afternoon.

An older caravan sat farther off from the main stalls, the din of the crowds only just reaching the people milling about. It was a lesser known spot to trade unless you were looking to deal in more questionable goods, sold by even more questionable folk. People and stolen goods moved through the hands of seedy traders and even dungeon treasures could be found at times, real or not. Unfortunately the elf was one of the items that would soon be bartered for whatever the vile men deemed a worthy price.

It was sweltering inside the rough, wooden wagon that served her prison, the only relief was a slight breeze that filtered in every so often. Regardless of the heat Vellen still curled in on herself with her head on her knees, choosing to sit as far from the barred door as she possible could. The blonde elf had long given up on escaping, her efforts had all proven in vain during the long trip from the coast. Her pale eyes drifted over to the strange women who had been her only other companion after starting her journey, besides the slavers though she disdained to include them. Vellen's thoughts lingered on the stranger who she had shared no words with and she was brought back to how this all started.

Enveloped in a crushing embrace, Vellen laughed as she was spun around. “Put me down Sarn!” Her expression fell a bit as the man complied and she took in the faces of her fellow crew mates. A sense of trepidation and longing fell over her and stirred her gut in a dizzying way. Saying goodbye always made her second guess what she was doing, but the elf knew that she'd be happier on solid ground. She steeled herself and smiled as she took a few steps back, offering a small wave. “I'll see you guys again, I promise.”

“Yeah, as a dungeon master right?” The ships captain asked, a grin splitting his weathered face.

Laughter peeled itself from her throat, feeling tight as she smothered any tears that dared to come forward. With a final wave she turned on her heal and made her way through the port town, not daring to spare more than a quick glance back. It was always difficult to set out by herself but the knowledge that she wouldn't have a crew to back her or the familiarity of knowing what to do set weighed on her some.

Once out of the city however, the sprawling fields of grass that began to caress her legs, the thick forests in the distance made her mind dizzy with excitement. Each step she took promised adventure, the distance between herself and her first dungeon got smaller. It was enough to ease Vellen into letting her guard down on her second night under the stars. She had spent her time crossing the grass fields dotted with small hills, so close to the forests edge.

Blue eyes meet the pitch black as Vellen was renched awake, her arms pulled behind her back and tied harshly. She could her peeling laughter and shouts but her sleep addled brain couldn't make sense of what was happening. Not until the elf was lifted into the air did she truly begin to struggle, her feet kicking and thrashing violently until they found their mark against one of her captors.

Her struggles were met with a sharp punch to the face and she could taste the metallic tang of blood as her teeth cut into her soft cheek. Another set of arms encircled her legs and she was half dragged for what felt like hours as her back scraped the ground painfully. Vellen gave a shout of surprise as she was tossed into the back of a wagon with a thud, scrambling to escape before the doors swung shut.

The blonde slammed her body against the thick wood, scrabbling against the bars until her fingers were raw and bloody. Her screams and insults did little to goad the slavers into doing anything but spitting threats at her if she didn't shut up. Vellen had struggled for days but the louder she was and the more she fought them when they came near caused them to leave her without water or food; gnawing pains of thirst and hungry buried her shame and pride after a few days and the girls resistance relented.

Her thoughts were broken by the men once more, as they made a commotion about something they had found along the road. The elf couldn't get a good enough view from her prison as she careened her neck to see what was so interesting the caravan had stopped. Vellen didn't have to wait long before the doors opened and she was forced back into the wagon by a sword at her throat. She was shocked to see a women thrown in with her, unconscious and naked.

It had seemed like a life time since that day, as they had traveled the countryside until they reached the vast city. Her eyes still lingered on the women, unaware she was staring until their eyes locked and she quickly turned away.

Everything appeared to be pitch black and hazy at the moment. There wasn't much understanding at the moment of what was going on. It was as if a new life was just born, no memories to go off of, but just a name to remember. " Alexius Bellamore. . ." a soft voice called out beyond the dark abyss. As if immediately after that is when images began to expand into view finally in this blank world.

Visions of millions of soldiers fighting while smoke filled the air and ruining the twilight sky as if they had been fighting the whole day. It was never the viewer fighting, but as if they were viewing the fights from another persons view. In the middle of this barbarous conflict, they were unharmed and merely watching dozens of men slice and pummel each other to death while strolling by. It was gruesome and cruel, but it was nothing that scared or surprised her like it was a daily stroll through the forest. Why were they able to stroll through this scene unscathed and practically invisible as their path was cleared of soldiers? Whoever they viewed this bloodbath from had reached a dead-end as they halted atop a cliff. Below them were just a sea of clouds as far as the eye could see and the sun setting to end the day. Without a warning, they were propelled off the cliff and fell to the sea of clouds. As they descended, they turned in mid-air to see what force had pushed them from their perch only to find a bearded fellow much larger than them in white robes looking down on them before they sink beneath the clouds. Before they knew it, there were the clouds forever furthering themselves from their grasp until the next thing they could see were pine trees and then after that the dream was over abruptly.

"It's time for you to wake up, Alexius." the voice once again called out before things were beginning to wake and come to.

It was the abrupt ending to her dream that woke up the woman from her slumber as she laid there naked on the wooden floor of the caravan wagon. She slowly opened her eyes as she was met with the rude awakening of a sliver of light peering through the tarp over top of her. She cast her hand in front of the light as she began to sit up. Once out of the light, things appeared a little darker before her as she could barely see in front of her. despite being slightly blind at the moment, she could tell somebody was sitting across from her just by the scent that she picked up and the quiet sound of breathing from the curled up woman slowly appearing before her adjusting eyes.

She tried to move around, but found both her hands and feet were shackled to to one another. What more was the fact that there was blood on her hands, but yet found no wounds among her body. It reeked like that of a wolf's more than anything to her sharp senses. She was more confused by what exactly the strange cuffs were rather than her bloody hands. Those things were simply more surprising to her than her naked appearance! With each movement, she unintentionally showed her physique as her muscles rippled under her flesh. It slowly came to mind that she was indeed naked as she could feel the breeze travel over her fair body before finally giving her a response of goosebumps. She looked over to a piece of rather large cloth before grabbing it and throwing it over her body to keep her warm. She sat there for a moment trying to figure out exactly what was going on and how she got here in the first place. She tried to recall, but nothing was coming up other than that dream of her's. If she thought about it too hard, a sharp pain slowly began on the back of her head that made her wince in agony.

She couldn't help but wonder who this long-eared woman was and why they were placed in such a confinement like this together. It looked as if she was completely worn out and trying to avoid anything to do with her, but the woman needed answers. "You. . ." she called out to the woman as she was filled with curiosity to what was going on. "Who. . .are you and what is this place? " She asked as she held the chains of her bound hands in between her fingers.

The elf jumped a bit when she heard the woman call out to her, the dull tinkling of chains filling her pauses. Vellen considered the question more then she really needed to, after all it was a simple matter of her name and such. But she couldn't help feeling it was somewhat pointless; soon they would be sold and separated to a fate unknown. Vellen's eyes drifted over once more and a part of her knew she would like the answers herself if the tables were turned.

”My name's Vellen.” The young elf said, doing her best to look a little friendly, though her smile didn't quite make it to her eyes. ” And this place,”She said, gesturing around the small cabin with a sweep of her hand. “Is a wagon in a slave caravan.”

It was clear by the look on the other woman's face that what the elf said didn't seem to clear all that much up, raising even more questions. ”I guess you're probably wondering why you're here, huh.” It was more of a statement then a question and Vellen paused a second as she pulled at her own chains. The cold metal grounded her and she swallowed roughly before speaking again. ”I couldn't even see what was happening when they pulled you off the side of the road, although these stupid bastards were loud enough for me to hear that you'd killed a terawolf.”

”Honestly there's not much more I can tell you then you would know.” Vellen said quietly, letting the hard iron slip out of her hands with a dull thud on the wooden floor. ”Since you've been, you know, unconscious the last day or so... Not much has really happened. I think we're in Adestania though.”

The blonde seemed to move more than she had in the last few days combined as she shuffled over to the bars the best she could. Her pale blue eyes squinted against the harsh sunlight as she peered around at the stone buildings. ”I've only been to Adestania once, or maybe twice so I can't be too sure.” Vellen admitted before sitting down again.

A. . .Adestania?" She asked with a rather confused look as she looked down at the woman's chained hands, "Slave Caravan?" She could tell by Vellen's expression that this was not good news to wake up to. The elf seemed to have no desire to be here as she disdainfully threw around the chain restricting her movements to a sluggish drag. It brought discomfort to her to see this person look so miserable when she looked rather nice enough to unveil a smile to her in this dark and dreary cell. She could only wonder as to how she managed to be in the same predicament as her fellow before Vellen's explained to her of how Alexius was thrown on board as well. "Terawolf? Sounds troublesome." She stated as she lifted her bloody, bound hands. It was a beast's blood that painted her hands a scarlet red and what more she killed it? It was a lot for her to take in as she sat there silently trying to understand the woman's explanation still.

It still seemed like multiple things had happened and yet she had no memory of such things happening. While her fellow prisoner seemed friendly, their confinement appeared quite the opposite as she could hear the sounds of shackles and crying coming out from the shroud over their bars. Something was telling that this caravan was not a pleasant place and that she should get out of here as soon as possible.

Of course, it would probably be easier with these shackles of her's gone. She grasped onto the chain before placing her foot onto the center of it to keep it from moving around. She wrapped the chains around her knuckles and then with an inhale, pulled on the chain with all her might. The amnesiac gritted her teeth while flexing all the muscles in her arm in attempt to break the chain apart to give her arms more freedom of range, but it seemed that the best her body could give was not enough to cause enough damage to her imprisonment. Still, it did seem that the fetters were worn from usage. After awhile, she eased off the chains to regain her energy and get ready to try again.

"These. . .caravans are not good, yes?" She asked the blonde woman as she prepared herself again, "Will they not let us go?" She started tugging at the chain again with more force than before. This time around it was easy to telly that the cuffs were ready to give leeway as they started to make sounds of cracking as if letting out screams of exhaustion from such a violent exertion of strength. "You do not want to be here and neither do I, so why do they keep us here? Surely you must want to be somewhere else, yes?" She continued on as before taking another break to catch her second win. She was ignorant of what these slavers would want with these two and what exactly they would get out of it. It didn't make sense to a girl who just awoke to a whole new world, but still she knew that it wasn't right for either of them to be caged like this.

”Um, Uh, well...” The words jumbled together, fumbling against her lips and tumbling out in nonsensical manner. Vellen couldn't seem to focus enough to answer as she watched the purple haired human pull upon her metal bonds. She wasn't pulling in a frantic attempt to flee but more in a methodical manner, like she expected them to give way like paper at any moment. It wasn't like Vellen hadn't struggled and yanked at the chains herself, but she had been crazy with anger and fear. When the elf had eventually resigned to her capture she didn't even bother with the shackles; she knew she would never break them.

Vell's eyes darted between the strange woman's face and hands as the sounds of wrenching metal squealed in protest, reverberating in the confined space. She nodded her head in agreement when the other woman spoke. Of course slavers are not good. She thought to herself, bemused at how the women seemed to have to reason this out. 'Will they not let us go?'... Has she never heard of slavers before?

Curiosity came over her as she really took in the sight of this women, no longer trying to ignore her existence. Her looks were exotic, pale purple eyes peered under vibrant hair of the same shade that seemed to help draw attention from the blood that soaked her hands in a unsettling manner. Skin that was kissed by the sun lay taught over muscles that bunched and rippled every time she worked at the chains. She was clothed in only a tarp, how she had come to be that way Vellen had know idea; eventually the slavers had taken her more valuable things but she had been left with at least her basic layers.

”They're slavers, they keep us here because they're planning on selling us.” She tried not to sound too harsh as she explained. It seemed like a lesson she had learned as child, stories told by parents and children alike that were confirmed by the truth of their everyday lives. “Of course I don't want to be here, as much as you don't I imagine.” Although Vell couldn't imagine much about her, they seemed like night and day.

The elf waited till the grinding sound of chains being strained stopped once again. ”To be honest I was on a, a quest I guess. I wanted to enter a dungeon.” She had to swallow the lump that threatened to choke her, memories that she had ignored rushed back as she thought about leaving her shipmates at port. Vellen felt so stupid now. ”What about you? What was your name?” She questioned, trying to turn the subject away from herself. ”Why are you here?

"The more you tell me about them, the more I can tell I don't want to be here then as well." Alexius had stated as she took another rest from her bracelets. She could tell that all she needed was one more valiant effort at it before they would give, then maybe she could think about how she could leave this cell of their's. She needed to get out of here because right now, she was clueless of this world and she needed answers as to who she indeed was and why she was here. Surely there must be something or someone in this world that could enlighten her. Much like Vellen, she now had a quest to find her reason of existence in this world rather than explore a dungeon.

"My name?" She asked as she gave a lost look to Vellen. That's right, she must have had one as well at some point, but what could it have been? The only thing she could remember was her dream and then of course that voice. It had called her by a name before. Perhaps that was it? "I believe my name is Alexius. . .Alexius Bellamore." She stated as she readied her third attempt at breaking away from her restraints. "As to why I'm here. . ." She began before she barbarically wrenched the seemingly brittle chains one last time. This time, the shackles appeared to be no match for her strength as she listened to the creaking clads as if screaming in defeat. Just moments later, there was no warning as the chain attaching her wrist to one another broke loose at the middle piece shattered apart inside the wagon. "I have no understanding as to why I'm here or what I was doing previously before waking up here in this wagon. "

She sat there pondering now while staring at the bracelets that dangled the remains of iron attached to it. She was now at a fragment of her freedom, but still she was so far away as she still sat behind bar of iron. She rose from the flooring over to the bars of their prison to touch them. These bars were made of a much thicker metal that she could not burst free from. Yet even if she did get free, where would she go? Whatever was out there, it was all unfamiliar to her. With no hints or guidance, she would be nothing but a newborn pup that was left to roam the lands by herself. She needed help if she wanted to find answers. That's when she realized that there was indeed somebody that could help her. She was sitting right before her. "Vellen. . .correct?" She asked as she turned back to her acquaintance, "At this dungeon you are on a quest for, is there something there that you want? If so, is there a chance there might be something there that I want? Such as answers to why I'm here?"

Vell slapped her work worn hands over her mouth, the elf's grip was tight against her own jaw as she tried to stifle a shout. She didn't want to alert their captors to what was happening, whatever was happening, but she was shocked when the chains had split. The broken link clattered across the rough wooden floor to land only a foot or so from her and the young woman eyed it with mixed emotions. The mere thought that escape seemed possible rekindled her hope, but at the hands of a stranger who could probably rend her head from her neck with a tug made her dizzy.

It didn't matter to her though, she would rather risk fleeing with a fellow captive then face whatever scum thought her life could measured in gold. It also occurred to her that if Alexius truly had no memories then her need for help would likely be great. If she was interested in the dungeons then that was something that Vellen could use.

”I think you might find what you seek,” She admitted tentatively, her mind conjuring all the stories and legends she had heard over the years. Brave adventurers entering the accursed strongholds and returning with amazing treasures, some poor fools never returning at all. ”Of those that enter the dungeons, many seek riches. They want gold and jewels, the means to live like a king. Some want weapons with great powers, able to vanquish even the toughest of foes. Though not many beyond sorcerers go to seek knowledge or answers, they say powerful beings await at the end of the dungeon's trials that can speak any truth of the world.” She paused to lick her chapped lips. ”I think that's probably what you want.”

”But I wouldn't get your hopes too high,” Vellen continued, twisting on her own manacles. ”I heard some say that it can be tricky or even impossible to chose what you get in the end. That's why I'm not after anything in particular.”

The elf's grip tightened on the metal in her hands, her gaze cool as she meet pale eyes. She grit her teeth with determination, steeling herself to a woman she had seen break chains not but a moment ago. ”I'm not saying anything more though. Not until you break these.” Vellen stood, talking a step forward.

"Alexius looked down at Vellen's bounds and without a second of hesitation, she reached for the elf's smaller chains and broke them with a simple twist. There was no doubt into aiding this person of her freedom as she would gain no less from it. "I think you have told me all I need to hear. Besides. . .those shackles are unpleasant, I wouldn't want to see you in pain while we are forced in here." The violet-haired woman confessed as she brushed off the little bit of rust that rubbed off on her. The elf was rather winsome to be locked up in conditions as well. With blond hair like hers, she would never shine while laying in the dark in the dust. As far as she could tell, Vellen appeared to be nothing but a compeer who seeked whatever was out there in this world and she would not prevent her from doing so. She was kind so if she could help her in anyway, then she would be glad to. "Maybe there is a chance the two of us were placed in the same cage for a reason, yes?" She suggested as she gave a light smile to the woman.

These dungeons could have the answers she was looking for if she wanted to learn anything about her identity or her reason for being in this world. She now had a destination to reach and along with it a reason to get out of this slave caravan. That was her next aspiration then, to escape this place and make her way to one of the said labyrinths. If only she had a means out now, then she would be on her way. Sadly, the same brute force would not bend these steel bars to her will. She would need to find another way to abscond from the caravan, but how? Their cell was empty and she knew nothing of her surrounding that might help her out, but if anybody had a clue, maybe Vellen would.

"Do you know of any way that can set us free from here?" Alexius asked as stared down in aloof towards those azure eyes of her's. "I wish to go to this dungeon you speak of. If we can both manage to get out of here, then may I accompany you inside? It might be easier if there are two of us there and I have no interest in the treasures that lie inside. I just want to know who I am and if I have a purpose here in this world." Her eyebrows scrunched together in frustration and confusion while looking at the old blood staining her hands. "You can have whatever resides there, what I desire is answers and nothing else." She held out a hand to the elf, "All I'm asking is would you form a party with me? I'll help you on your quest if it means it will help me on mine." The amnesiac proposed hoping that Vellen would not turn her way. This was the only person she knew in this realm and if she were to turn Alexius down, then she would have no one else to turn to. She needed Vellen as much as the elf needed her at this moment if either of them wanted to move onwards to their goals.

Vellen jerked slightly as the chains that connected her manacles were twisted, relenting easily under Alexius' powerful hands. The bonds that had vexed and restrained her for days fell way to the same fate as the purple haired woman's own, a few metal links scattering across the wagon floor. She flexed her arms some as Alex wiped the rusty grim off her hands, enjoying the freedom to move more comfortably.

The elf blushed under the taller woman's smile; the thought of being in this situation with someone else at the hands of fate or destiny seemed like something a bard would sing of. Adventurers and warriors bathed in the romanticized light of dashing deeds and beautiful maidens. Vell couldn't imagine that her destiny would start in the back of a slavers caravan, though she hadn't thought she would be here in the first.

Vellen considered her words carefully. Apart from being a stranger there was no other reason for her to distrust Alexius, quite the contrary; if the woman hadn't reached out and spoken to her then she would still be sitting despondently in the corner shackled. ”I think I believe you, you really seem like you don't know who are, that you want answers.” The elf conceded. “And I'd be a liar if I said I'd do better on my own in a dungeon.”

Her slim hand grasped Alexius' in a firm grip and the two shook, forming a pact of sorts. Vellen smiled at her new comrade, the familiarity of someone having her back made her stomach flutter. ”Although I doubt I can give you any answers, I think I can help you find them.”

The contact between the two felt intense and Vell nodded her head in a nervous manner, shaking herself back into reality. One of her worse habits was getting lost in others, whether it was in the stories they told or the way the moved; it felt as if they all had something different to offer her, something tangible if she just was able to grasp what it was.

The elf swallowed, the sound seemed louder in the cramped cabin. ”But before we can get you some answers and me some loot we have to get out of this crap hole.” Vell chuckled, a little nervous. She wasn't sure how they would get out, although when she had first been taken it seemed the thoughts of escape were constant; her hours passed with ideas of boldly vanquishing the slavers. ”To be honest I hadn't had much hope till now,” she muttered, shame creeping behind her eyes as she admitted the reality to Alexius and herself for the first time as well.

”We could always wait till they open the latch, try and dash out as fast as we can. I imagine they'll be waiting for us to do something like that, I doubt all prisoners just wait meekly. Don't know if we could over power them, I know I couldn't by myself.” The elf ventured. ”Perhaps we could test out the wagon's boards, I mean they are pretty old. Maybe one's loose?”

To see Vellen accept to a concord in journeying with her to the dungeon was something of relief. She managed to find both guidance and a sign of hope in discovering her previous self with the aid of this bijou elf. With this, she only aspired to return the favor by getting the two out of there somehow. The look that her new companion wore told her that she had forwent the thought of escaping this place for awhile now. It was devastating at first, but she was reassured by the sudden thinking from the lass. For someone who looked so defeated ago, the elf was quick to think on her feet.

"Hmmm. . .Time and tide wait for no one." the woman spoke as she knelt down to test the floorboards of the wagon. Alexius ran her hand over the rather weathered timber they stood upon. Some were much better than others, but it was still easy to notice pieces of plank that have seen the worst from outside desecration. Specifically a spot to the side of the cell door was looking rather exhausted from the constant beating of the wheel axle below. The nails affixing it jutted out more than the rest. Enough for Alexius to grab onto one of the nails and extract it from the board. With that the piece of wood loosened as if trying to breathe for air. Pulling out another nail, the amnesiac was able to lift up the flooring of the board without any clearly audible noises to attract anybody. With the wood out of the way, there was now a tapered, but capable escape route in the wagon.

Despite her sinewy build, Alexius was still fairly lean enough to slide between the boards and make contact with dirt covered ground below with her soles. It was difficult yes, but still very much so possible for her to get through. As she tucked in her abdomen and chest, she slipped out and fully disappeared under the wagon yet was still concealed by the immense wheels of the wagon. She looked around to see if she had been noticed, but it seemed that no one had caught sight of her as she watched feet shift across the land without stopping in front of her view underneath. The noise outside was now much clearer to her as she listened to sound of crowds bickering, animals crying, and other wagons rolling along to move onto their next destination. Her doubt over being heard attempting to escape was reassuring since it seemed as if everything carried on as if nothing had disrupted the day.

She stuck her hand back up through the hole in the wagon and signaled Vellen with a wave. If she could maneuver her way out, then it would be effortless for her comrade to get out without a sweat on her tiny body. "With haste, Vellen!" She whispered in encouragement, "We should get going to the dungeon before we're found out."

Vellen began looking about the wagon's cabin for any lose boards. However it was rapidly apparent that her search was unnecessary when she heard some nails quietly clatter to the floor. She turned just in time to see a rough old board be placed beside the small metal pieces. The hole looked rather small but manageable, the elf had shimmied through smaller cracks and crags in her time.

Alexius spurred her on, urging her to hurry and she wouldn't disagree with the woman. They had already been sitting most of the day and it wouldn't be long until the slavers came for them. They had to time their actions just right.

The elf stepped over the plank and crouched down, turning over onto her belly she let her legs swing over the makeshift exit. The height from the wagon to the ground was only a few feet, and she felt her boots make contact with the stone below as she slipped through the hole easily. Vellen took a moment to breath in the Adestania air; although it didn't have the same salty quality of the ocean or the sharp forest smell tinged by pine it was still leagues better than the staleness of the caravan.

People passed this way and that in front of the hiding space, the market seemed crowded enough that if they could just slip out without being seen the pair could slip into the crowd. Vellen tried to get a hold of her bearings but she didn't posses enough knowledge of the city, and from this vantage point it was impossible to get a good view.

”We'll have to make a break for it and then figure out what direction to head in after.” She said as quietly as she could while still being heard. Vellen's heart speed up slightly, it's tempo fluttering at the nerves dancing in her stomach. They were so close to escaping and her body seemed to feel the knowledge fully. Her pale eyes scanned her surroundings once again, looking for a good spot to dart off too. ”I say on the count of three we try and make for that alley.” She pointed a slender hand towards a darker slip of a street, the end illuminated distantly by the main market on the other side.

With a point in the right direction, the violet-haired woman was ready to make a run once they were ready to advance. The alley Vellen suggested was maybe a twenty yards away give or take. If they were discreet enough, both of them could make it over there without being noticed despite her being stripped out in public. "One. . ." She started as she crouched down as if about to leap out of their hideout. But before she could even get to the two count, she was halted by the presence of hooves from horses and wheels of another wagon rolling out between them and their exit until finally coming to a halt. There was a bad feeling stirring in her stomach as she ceased her counting. What was happening and why were they so close to their wagon?

"Everyone stand back. As I now present to you the Chieftain of Adestania's third district, Aeliana Vyntra!"
A decorated soldier announced as a couple of lower ranked officers secured the area around both wagons. After the announcement, out from the wagon came a slim woman with jet black hair parted on one side covering her right eye. From the other eye, it appeared that a charteuse liquid that looked to be makeup ran down from her eye to her chin in a dripping effect. She was dressed in a white blouse complimented by gold designs with flowing sleeves that overlapped her hands a bit and a violet red sarong that revealed her bronze legs and amazon sandals that covered her feet. Something about seeing so little of the chieftain drove an eery sensation over Alexi's body as if this Aeliana could surprise her with anything that could be hiding under those draping clothes of her's. Her scent reeked of pepper and managed to drive her eyes to ears before covering up her nostrils.and her's only. This woman was poisonous, which made the amnesiac hesitate.

"So you found her next to a dead terawolf? Those puppies aren't easy to put down you know?" Aeliana continued on with her conversations with one of the slavers. She took a puff of her pipe before blowing the smoke into the merchant's face leaving him to waft it away while coughing. "We know. . .which is why we brought her here to Adestania. Terawolves are considered dungeon monsters that can't be taken down without a dungeon weapon like your's. We didn't find any treasures on her, Lady Vyntra. She could be a fighter worth a rather large amount of gold." he said as he greedily rubbed his hands, "Something the Adestanian Empire would love to have to help fend off the other kingdoms. A soldier on par with the likes of one of the Prestigious Three such as yourself." Vyntra kicked the man square in the stomach, sending him down to the ground. "Don't compare trash on the road to the likes of me, you dirty rat! Just show me this proclaimed living weapon of your's! If it impresses me, I might consider taking her up to the palace and showing her off to the royal family." Something the chieftain didn't like was being collated to. She was arrogant and considered herself unique like no other and it could be heard as under her sarong was the movement of something that sounded like a blade dragging across the ground.

The slaver looked a bit frightened before waving to his fellow men. "O-open the door!" He ordered trying to sound calm despite being a little frightened by whatever was moving underneath Vyntra. Two men made their way up to the wagon door as Vyntra stood waiting imaptiently to see what their fuss was all about in this item of their's. But it was quite the surprise to the slavers, when they looked inside to find no one inside the cage. "She's. . .she's gone! So is the elf! They escaped!" One of the slavers exclaimed as he climbed inside thinking he just couldn't see them in the dark. The other two searched inside the wagon in disbelief as well. How could their rare item just disappear out of thin air?

"Unbelievable. So much for your prized possession. I knew this would be a waste of my time." Vyntra berated the trio with an eyeroll and scoff. Out of her peripherals, the woman could catch a glimpse of something violet hiding underneath the wagon before realizing it was a woman. It was at this time that Alexius realized that Vyntra saw her before taking Vellen's hand. "No time to count!" Alexius warned her comrade before charging off from underneath their cart and under the chieftain's wagon. "Three!" the amnesiac exclaimed as she placed her hand on the belly of the carriage before applying pressure to it. With a relative ease, Alexius managed to tip the wagon over to block off Vyntra's vision of her while escaping with Vella into the alleyway.

Dust picked up in the air as the wagon crashed onto the ground. The horses scattered and with them the crowd of people around them to get away from the looses animals. Vyntra couldn't see anything, but did know that that was indeed the prisoner causing calamity within her domain. Even if that was amazing to see a whole wagon become leveled by a single woman, she would be in trouble if news got out that she let slaves escape into her city. This annoyed the woman greatly as metal scraped against the ground once more. The merchants hopped out of their wagon only to catch sight of their slaves running away from the caravans. "Don't let them get away! After them!" The three exclaimed as their fellow brethren around them heard their call and started chasing after Alexius and Vellen. Vyntra looked at her soldiers in fury, "What they said! All troops move out!" She ordered to her soldiers who weren't incapacitated by the distracting mess of the screaming crowd. She would have to find her own way to catch up with the convict women on the loose.
