Haruki planted his hand under his own chin as Skylar revealed his current profession. He hummed in approval. "Say, you are good with little kids, huh? It's a shame since I'm not much attuned with children. Don't get me wrong; It's not that I hate kids. Their behavior can be a little tricky to deal with and they can piss me off at times, but I still like them, nonetheless." he hoped that his honest opinion wouldn't offend Skylar too much. "And can I ask how old are you? Looks can be deceiving especially when possessing features that depict looking younger than the real age." Again, it was all for the sake of curiosity. Usually, he would ask for a legal ID before the customers would drink something potent, but in Skylar's case, he looked like he was in the 20s, so it was all good.

Skylar smiled again before nodding. "Yeah. I love children and yes, they can be a handful at times especially when they are not feeling well but it's worth it in the end when I can make them feel better." he replied as he used a finger to circle the rim of his glass. He wasn't offended at all by Haruki's statement as he was just being honest. He chuckled when the other asked for his age. "I am 21 years old." he added with another smile at the other male. This was nice. Just sitting here talking to someone who wasn't trying to seduce or get in his pants. Not that it would work anyway.
"So, what about you, handsome? How did you come to be a bartender?" he asked, curious.

Verdant orbs gazed at the slender finger playing with the rim of the glass as he heard Skylar insinuating about his true age after the description about his job. "Ah, I'm actually three years older than you. Just turned twenty-four last August 17." At the question about how he acquired the job, the answer was a bit elaborate. "Let's just say that I enjoy partying whenever the occasion calls for it. I studied Hotel and Restaurant Management as my course in College and mixology was included as part of the application. Plus, I did work part-time as a bartender at a local bar to earn some money. That job experience was totally an asset to acquire the job that I want. So there, here I am." By the time he was done, his hand was now propped on the counter and he was leaning forward, but not too close to the guy in front of him, maintaining a foot's distance.

Skylar tilted his head to the side. "Ah. Well, happy belated birthday.' he replied with a soft laugh as he finished off his third glass. He sat there patiently as he listened to Haruki's story, nodding at the end. "Well, that is quite an accomplishment. It is good to get the job that you love doing." he added win a smile at Haruki. He then noticed that said male had leaned forward a bit but not close enough to invade his space. He found himself liking that for some reason but pushed the thought aside for the moment. "I like you, Haruki. You're real easy to talk to." he said after a moment of watching the bartender.

Haruki smiled at the compliment about his job. "But it is not without some nuisances here and there. You just gotta do what you gotta do." When Skylar confessed that he liked the guy because of his demeanor, the bartender's cheeks coated a faint pink. It was definitely his first time hearing someone confessing his feelings. "Woah, woah, woah. Hold on. I understand that you are feeling good but I hope what you confessed is actually true, not just because of the influence." The last thing that he wanted from the man was to jump in only to regret the next morning. Not to mention he would be suffering from a massive hangover afterwards.

Skylar blinked when he registered what Haruki was getting at then laughed, a light musical sound, shaking his head. "I didn't mean it like that. I meant that you are like the first person other than my actual friends that isn't tying to get me into bed." he replied after getting a hold of himself. "It's true that I got a good buzz going but as for being under the influence, it's going to take a bit more than three glasses to get me wasted. Guess it comes with being a..." he added before cutting himself off at the last moment. He had almost revealed that he was a demon and he wasn't sure how Haruki would take that information.

The bartender found his heart skipping a bit at the melodic laugh, a pleasant ringing in his ears. Skylar then rambled on taking more than just three glasses to get him wasted. However, he stopped before continuing, being cautious. The bespectacled man being blinked. "Being a what? If it means being a strong man despite the looks, then it's a good thing." But still, at the back of his mind, he was wondering if there was more than just his looks that drove the others nuts to the point of being persistent to get him. He then glanced at his watch. "My shift will be done in thirty minutes. Say, do you have anywhere else to go? I'll accompany you if you like." Indeed, he was enjoying the attractive man's company and he was looking forward to further interactions with him.

Skylar snorted before he shook his head. "That isn't it." he replied quietly before running a hand through his hair with a sigh. He was debating on whether or not to tell the other about his heritage but decided that he would wait until he knew Haruki better and he would get to know the other male. "Hmm? No, not really. But I'd you want to walk me home, you are more than welcome to as I do not trust someone to try and jump me on my way home." he added, leaning back against the bar counter. He really didn't need an escort but he wanted to spend a little more time with Haruki as he found himself drawn to him and he did not know why. Okay, maybe he did but it wasn't definite.

Haruki was now curious because Skylar mentioned that it wasn't exactly what he was referring to. But the question would wait until the next time they would meet after that first encounter at the nightclub. At his statement about the escorting alongside the suspicion, he replied. "Don't worry. I'm a responsible man. I won't jump in until it's the right time." Skylar had a point about not trusting people who would just get into his pants. If Haruki had to know more about him, he had to gain his trust. Perhaps, there were still bits and pieces of the pediatrician's life that he was completely oblivious about. "So, are you going to wait for me outside or in here? Your call."

Skylar blinked in surprise at Haruki's statement before deciding to let it go and think about it for another time. He didn't doubt that the other was responsible and that seemed to endear him more to the bartender. He took a moment to think about the question before making a decision. "I don't mind waiting here for you. If you do not mind that is?" he replied with a smile at Haruki, sensing that the other wouldn't but it didn't hurt to ask.

The bartender nodded in agreement. "Very well. I'll make sure to keep an eye on you while I'm doing the last call." And with that, more drinks were catered to other customers while ensuring that the party-goers still behave like civilized beings. After 30 minutes, his shift was finally done and Haruki cleaned up the area before exiting towards the employee area. He emerged a few minutes later wearing his coat and carrying his bag since it was a chilly night outside. He approached Skylar with a smile."So, ready to go home?"

Skylar just nodded before easing back on the stool, watching Haruki tends g to other customers and watching some people make total fools of themselves in front of him, trying to impress him. Needless to say, they weren't doing a very good job. He shook his head at the antics as he waited patiently for Haruki. He turned to Haruki when he asked if he was ready to go. "Yeah. Ready when you are."he replied with a smile.

Haruki was glad that the other was given the consent. He was the one who opened the door for him as they both exited the establishment through the back door. The night outside was chilly since the autumn season was approaching, though the color change for the leaves had to occur yet. They were walking side by side as they were approaching the busy streets. "Say, can you tell me the exact location of your house? It may be at a different location than where I usually go to for work and college stuff." After all, he really didn't want to get lost with Skylar.

Skylar closed his eyes when the chilly air hit him. Her breathed in deep before releasing it. The cold never bothered as he had grown up in Romania so the chill here had nothing on the cold there. "I live just a few blocks around the corner in a blue apartment building." he replied, looking over at Haruki when he asked a question. "I forget the name but you will K of it when you see it. It's a rather large building and impossible to miss." he added in afterthought.

The bartender listened attentively as Skylar filled in the location details as well as the appearance of the place. He couldn't memorize all of the details so the hints may help a lot on that matter. They both continued their way towards the apartment, with Haruki taking occasional glances at the signs of the connecting establishments, the bright lights glaring with the intention to attract people. After a few minutes, the two finally arrived at the place, the outside walls painted a deep blue. The green-haired man blinked in astonishment as he took in the scenery in front of him. "I have to say, this place is not too shabby. My apartment's a bit smaller than yours, though." He admitted with a sheepish grin, rubbing the back of his own head with a hand.
