Basic Synopsis:

Cailean Rivers{played by 0cyanideprince0} had been assaulted by a frenemy Emmett Osborne {played by septic i} via bleach to the eyes, thus losing his own eyesight. No apologizes were made, no charges were pressed on the assailant for the sake of not getting in trouble with their respective parental figures. Fast forward 4 years, Emmett has grown out of his own reckless habits, and now seeks forgiveness from the person that he hurt so many years ago.

With his earphones in and his hands stuffed into his jacket, Emmett made his way down the street. Though he works in this part of town, and lives less than ten minutes away, Emmett was nervous to the point that he felt he would let out all that he has ate not too long ago. Restarting your life was no easy ride, but Emmett has made it so far; he cleaned up his act, got sober, fixed his relationship with his only living family member, his sister, and actually maintained a job for a little over three months now. But everything just had to go bad again. Well, to some extent.

Emmett had started going to therapy due to his sister's request, and they were at that point of their relationship where Emmett was willing to do anything for her forgiveness. Those forced once-a-week sessions soon turned to the one thing that he looked forward to all week. He has been going there, once a week, for the past five months, which was mainly what started this whole thing. Their sessions were coming to an end; in fact, he had his last session no longer than a week ago. His therapist's last request, or 'homework', was that he make a list of all the people he had hurt or encountered in a negative way, and then sort them according to priority; from the least to the most damage done. After a week of meeting dozens of people from his past and apologizing, several of which told him to piss off; and he totally understood why they would act that way. He was now left with the last person on the list: Cailean Rivers.

Those two never got along, but Emmett actually can't seem to remember why that was. Even so, what Emmett did to the male was so much worse than what he has ever done; something that scared even Emmett himself, but he never let that show at that time. And instead of going to the hospital and apologizing to the male, Emmett did what he used to do best; he ran to his father and let him fix his problems, using his position.

Letting out a soft sigh as the song came to an end, Emmett realized that he had been standing and staring at the building creepily for a little too long. Taking in a deep breath, Emmett started counting down but in Russian; a technique that seems to help him calm down. Feeling like he had to drag his feet along the sidewalk, Emmett froze when he saw someone coming out of the building, and it was none other than the person he was terrified of confronting. Emmett wondered if the male even remembered his voice; probably not. The younger version of Emmett used to roughen his voice a whole lot, just to seem tough and superior; what an idiotic thing to do.

Approaching the male, Emmett tried his best to seem as normal as possible. Seeing the male take out a box of cigarettes, Emmett almost huffed before standing a couple of feet away from him. "Mind sharing one of those?" He questioned with a slight hopeful smile across his lips. All the while, his attention was on the male's eyes, feeling the guilt in the pit of his stomach. Emmett didn't understand the point in doing this; even if Cailean decided to -stupidly- forgive Emmett, it still didn't change anything that happened. It wouldn't make Emmett feel any better about this situation, and it surely would not make Cailean see again.
