Awake to the flame
Why am I so afraid of this change
Is it because it could all remain the same
Blood streams down my back to my feet
As I listen to my disconsolate heart beat
As skin tears to reveal blood stained wings
It's only the body that shouts the scream
Don't be afraid of death
It is simply a chance for second breath
Awaken to the pain
Awaken to the flame
When we awake life will tie together
Gentle and calm, resting on a bloody angel feather
