Name: Inuzuka Kiba and Akamaru

Character Info: loud and head-strong member of Kurenai Yuhi's Team 8, consisting of himself, Shino Aburame, and Hinata Hyuga. The members of Team 8 are all on very good terms, with each specializing in tracking and survival. Kiba, however, dislikes Shino's bossy attitude, and Shino likewise dislikes Kiba's inability to be serious. Still, the three enjoy one another's company, and are often seen helping one another pursue each other's hobbies. Kiba's favorite foods are beef jerky and gristle, with his least favorite being anything that he can't chew.
As a member of the Inuzuka clan, Kiba has a nin-dog (忍犬, ninken?) named Akamaru, who he has an almost symbiotic relation with and is almost always seen with, usually enjoying their hobby of taking a walk. Kiba and Akamaru are able to communicate with each other, sharing knowledge gained from the other's heightened abilities. When in battle, Kiba and Akamaru fight together, using such techniques as Beast Human Clone and Double Piercing Fang to assist in their teamwork. When in battle, Kiba can also gather chakra to his nose, putting his sense of smell on par with Akamaru's.

Character Info: solitary and collected member of Kurenai Yuhi's Team 8, consisting of himself, Kiba Inuzuka, and Hinata Hyuga. In the few instances that Shino has appeared in the series, he has been devoid of emotion, never smiling and always speaking matter-of-factly. Shino prefers to maintain this image; he even resorts to threatening Naruto Uzumaki to ensure that Naruto does not spread word of Shino's poison-induced laughter. Due to his infrequent appearances, little is known about Shino. Shino's favorite food is vegetable salad, with his least favorite being tofu balls and strong-smelling foods. His favorite phrase is "trump card"
Shino is intelligent, excelling in his analytical and observational skills, which allow him to make shrewd judgments with pinpoint reasoning. Like Shikamaru Nara, Shino prevails in battles by systematically staying steps ahead of the enemy. As a member of the Aburame clan, Shino was infused at birth with a special breed of insects that feed on chakra. In return, the insects attack and do other tasks as he commands. Because of his bond with insects Shino is fairly bug-centric, spending most of his spare time watching bugs and often making analogies to bugs when talking. His relationship with bugs as well as his stoic disposition has given Shino a fairly creepy personality, and others tend to dislike being in his company

Character Info: born as the eldest daughter of the Hyuga clan's main branch. When she was younger, a Kumogakure diplomat attempted to kidnap Hinata in order to learn the secrets of the Hyuga clan's abilities. Her father, Hiashi Hyuga, was able to save Hinata and kill the kidnapper, though the repercussions of this act forced her uncle, Hizashi Hyuga, to sacrifice his life for the good of the clan. In light of this, Hinata was trained by her father to become the clan's heiress, though in time he came to deem her a lost cause. Believing Hinata to be of lesser skill than her younger sister, Hanabi Hyuga, her father left Hinata in Kurenai Yuhi's care once she was assigned to Team 8.Hinata lacks self-confidence and the willingness to fight. Although she would train more than anyone else in order to improve her skills, she would immediately give up when faced with competition
As a member of the Hyuga clan, Hinata possesses the Byakugan, which gives her an almost 360° field of vision. During the Chunin Exams, she displays the ability to focus the Byakugan's sight, increasing the distance that her eyes can see. She also specializes in the Gentle Fist fighting style, which allows her to damage her opponent's chakra circulatory system and inner organs directly with even a slight tap. In her quest to get stronger, she begins training to create a new ability, which consists of manipulating water to sprout in an orb around her. Her training manifests itself during the Bikochu arc in the form of Protection of the Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, which she uses to singlehandedly defeat all of Team 8's opponents. Over the timeskip, Hinata rises to the rank of Chunin, indicating that her training has been effective in making her stronger.
Name: Yuuhi Kurenai

Approximate Age: 30
Character Info: graduated from the Academy at the age of 9, became a Chunin at the age of 13, and became a Jounin soon.Prior to the formation of Team 8, Kurenai taught a student named Yakumo Kurama. Yakumo had little control over her unique abilities, and could cast genjutsu strong enough to kill others. Because of this, Kurenai was forced to seal her ability to cast genjutsu due to the danger she imposed, and because of this Yakumo was no longer able to be a ninja. Yakumo would years later attempt to seek revenge on Kurenai for this, though in time came to realize that she had done the right thing. In a somewhat related matter, her eyes are similar in appearance to the Sharingan, though no reason for this has been given.
Although she gets along well with all of her students, Kurenai seems to be especially close with Hinata. Once Hinata was assigned to Team 8, her father left her in Kurenai's care, and as such takes on the role of a parent for Hinata. She has since tried to help Hinata overcome her inability to stick up for herself, and in time begins to see success. She is also aware of Hinata's feelings for Naruto Uzumaki, and does her best to try to overcome Naruto's obliviousness to these feelings by encouraging him to help Hinata when he can.It is heavily hinted that Kurenai is romantically involved with Asuma Sarutobi
Kurenai specializes in genjutsu, and as seen in the Kurama Clan arc is very proficient with it. Through the use of her Demonic Illusion: Tree Bind Death, Kurenai can sneak up on an opponent and grow a tree around them to keep still. Once immobilized, Kurenai can appear from the tree to kill her target as she pleases, and is capable of using this jutsu multiple times in a row
