The Epitome of Drama
Ever wonder what an ordinary person's life is like? No? Well, you're about to find out anyway. -Title credited to [.Distorted-Reality.]-
Spiderman 3 and Shrek 3
Spoiler Free

Ironic enough, they're both the third of their series. I'll start with Spiderman 3.

Spiderman 3
I watched this the morning after it premered (Saturday) with high hopes for the movie. Ever since I was little, Spiderman has always been a favorite of mine, to which I have to thank my father (seeing as how he collected and still owns much of the original comic books from when he was a child). Upon getting our tickets, we entered into the theater and sat down to wait for the previews.

Now, for those of you who haven't heard, last year I watched Spiderman 2 on premere night- and watched a fight ensue in the front row (well, not so much an actual fist fight, but close enough). This year it was the babies, but enough about them.

We were pshyced to see venom and possibly the Hobgoblin. Now while the latter wasn't in the movie (though the mask appears to have been present), Venom was quite amazing. While the background story wasn't the same, I was quite pleased with how they went about it. Overall, the story was quite good, just the execution wasn't as pleasing.

Toby McGuire resumed his role with the rest of the cast, though his whole "emo dancing with eyeliner" wasn't the most funniest of things. I guess it was more or less the mere fact he did it.

Kirsten Dunce (is that her name?), personally, I didn't like her in this movie. She's a decent actress and all, it's just I don't know what to think of her. You know that saying "all the geeks get the girls"? This is one instance where I didn't quite wish it would apply. Akward couple, even as they were star gazing in the opening.

The Sandman... Immediately upon seeing him after his tranformation, my sister and myself both looked at each other with that look we know so well. Generally "that look" involves Naruto in some way, and this time was no exception - Gaara. Seriously, after seeing how well they animated his sand, if they were to do a Naruto Live Action anything, that group would have to do the effects hands down.

The ending was rather good, and I'm hoping that for the next one Lizard will finally be introduced. It's something that both myself and my father have been anticipating.

And for those of you wanting a list of villans yet to appear, here's what I recall from our conversation (bolded are ones I hope wille eventually appear): Hydro-man, Sting, Rhino, Juggernaut, Kingpin, Carnage, Lizard, Chameleon, Vulture, Electro, Mysterio, Shocker, Jackal, Hobgoblin, and Morlun. I know some of them have appeared in the video games, but those don't count.

Shrek 3
Another movie I've been anticipating and to put it bluntly: I was disappointed. So much, I turned down the offer to see it a second time - something I've never done with a Shrek movie before.

To put it bluntly, the movie lacked the humor that was completely evident in the first two movies and what made it so great. The opening scene was where everything went completely wrong, the actual scene not being as funny as shown from the credits.

Overall, the movie in a sense seemed...rushed. While it did have its funny parts, I wasn't laughing the whole time as in previous versions.

And to save you a few minutes, there's nothing after the credits.
