Temporarily Back in the Swing of Things... Well Sorta...
Well, schools over for... about a little over 5 weeks, then I'm right back to the grinding stone. Actually about 4 weeks of that time I'll have no access whatsoever to the computer because I'll be on vacation in England&3. Right when I come back though, excluding a day for recovering from jet lag, I'm going to be attending a French II course at my local community college (Of course by local I mean all the way across town).

I'll probably have some online time during that span, but seriously not that much, I won't be able to participate really in anything super important. That and I can't stay up late ;-; I have to be awake, have already eaten, have driven through traffic, and made it to my seat in class before 8:00am Monday through Thursday for 5 weeks. Weekends will most likely be spent doing hard college homework ;-;.

During the summer... Yeah.. not looking forward to that sort of arrangement with the sleeping. But hey; I love French that much that I'm willing to sacrifice pretty much all my summer (will explain in a few) to the great task of learning a second language. That and get the chance to snatch a spot to actually be able to visit France my graduating summer. ^_~ (What is it with me and Europe, Eh? Just can't stay away XD) I'll be sure to post pictures.

(If you don't want to read a bunch about my life, just skip to the next separated parentheses)

As for why I'm devoting my whole summer to French is actually an interesting story. You see it all started the year I moved to Arizona. My Sophomore year I moved to this State 2 days before school actually started. The online website to my school claimed that they offered 4 years of German and I was taking German at the time and wished to continue it. I had just finished German II and I was really excited about entering German III. Well... turned out that they didn't have a German III... There weren't enough students to create the class. Disappointment much?

Anyways, so I was put into the German II class as a Teachers Aid. First thing the German teacher tells me is that she doesn't need a TA... great way to start a friendship.. lemme tell ya. Throughout the first semester I learned the reason why there wasn't a German III class.. At the school I go to the required amount of foreign language is only 2 credits.. Once students take German II They stopped taking it to get away from that teacher, I swear.. that or other reasons.. but I'm sure thats why a lot of them decided not to continue.

It wasn't because she didn't know enough German... Hell! She wad Dutch. Now, I'm sure that she was a sweetheart at one point, maybe before she moved to America, which she complained about so often, but with a luxurious retirement approaching and the built up stress of teaching Freshmen over and over again she became a hard a** b***h. She would disparage her students in class and call them stupid in front of everyone ( Not that there were many in the classes to begin with..) But in the end I decided to get out of there as soon as possible and try to do something valuable with my time.

So I choose to instead be a TA for an Art Teacher(He wasn't my art teacher, but all the art teachers worked together), seeing as at this point I preferred my art class to really any of my others. That and he was in need of some help and I also got a sweet part in the deal of being let off early when there was no work to be done. The year ended rather sweetly, and the next year I decided to take French I. Heres where I wish I could turn back time and make a change to a huge mistake.

You see, French I for me this year was quite amazing.. I loved it! It grabbed my attention, but I struggled enough to where it was interesting. The teacher was supportive and I actually wanted to learn. The first day we, my classmates and I, learned that theres a trip that the French III and IV students take. Now, seeing as I've been to Europe before and decided that traveling overseas in my one true love, I decided I had to go! But then I learned that if I was only in French II, my chances of being able to snag a spot were so slim that I shouldn't even dream of it.

If I had known that the French program at this school was sooooooo much better then that of the German program, I would have jumped on it in a flash! Had I taken French I instead of German II TA I would have been in French III next year without having to take a class during the summer... Hell if I had taken the French II course during my Sophomore summer I would have had the chance of being in French IV. At that point I would have gotten a spot on the list no problem

Of course my parents the whole time were saying they rather see me take Spanish. Screw that! I talked to my French teacher about it and she told me that the Guidance councilors no longer took their jobs seriously enough to actually inform us of the possible choices available to us before we made a decision. Well at this point, I just feel cheated as all hell. But! I will succeed and I will finish my High School career with two German Credits and Three French Credits, and hopefully a trip to France under my belt.

(Heres where you can pick up if you didn't want to read all that blah! XD Yay for typing this all up in one sitting. Fun!)

So yeah. This summer pretty much ends June 8th.... shortest one yet! ( Of course I don't know when school starts &&, I might get a week .. I dunno. I'll put an update when I get back from Europe.. by then I'm sure there should be some sort of schedule for registering lying around somewhere in the unopened mail for me.

Not only is my summer completely booked for this year and possibly the next, but my schedule during school won't be any less of a hurtle to jump... I'm pretty much taking a full schedule using my open period to help out my English teacher that I'm going to England with over this summer. Not only that, but I'll also be in two show choirs, so any trips dealing with them I'll have to keep up with and make sure I don't fall to far behind in the rest of my classes. Most of the time, after school when it truly starts, will be like extreme conditioning to make sure I don't fail my senior year... That and I might need to get a ::gags:: Job!! which also means I need to get off my a** and get my damn license so I can drive without begging for someone to take me somewhere..&& ::shrugs:: I've got a lot ahead of me.

What can I say?

Anyways, till the next time I have about 3 hours of continuous typing pleasure,

Now I'd just like to make a quick review of the year (things edited from my post way back in the fall of 06 in relation to now)

School this year is pretty nifty for me. was interestingly similar to a low level of hell for me, other then finding my new love of the French language, it sucked!.

I'm taking I have taken (Full names only):
Ap Literature and Composition (Passed barely)
Pre Calculus 1 semester of Pre Calculus(Passed with a D)(Dropped out soon afterwards)
Honors introduction to Chemistry (Dunno the verdict yet)
US/AZ History (Passed)
Ap Studio Art (Passed)
and last but not least French 1 (Passed)

I'm a junior currently senior trying to enjoy summer and with a somewhat hectic schedule, but its challenging, so I'm happy XD.Stressed and under productive. Perfect mix.. lemme tell ya.

Progress Report cards comes out 9/11 (I'm trying to remember if it was delayed at all...) ( oooohhh scary *O* World Trade Center anniversary)<--(Le gaspeth!) and If I get all A's and B's I get a cell Phone X3.(Check!) I've been researching and I think that I want Chocolate from Verizon X3. Who cares if the touch pad is a little touchy XD, I'll get used to it I'm sure^^WRONG!! That b*****d piece of plastic and scrap metal is way too expensive!! and it could only hold 2 gigs of songs and thats with the expansion. But I just want an mp3 player finally (Yeah, I got one... then it broke..) I'm so deprived technologically ;.;(That still checks out). But I think I will go just fine(Never had bathroom problems before..>> wink . Long as I get all my work done on time>>;.(Yeah... about that.. your middle name is procrastination! Deal with it!)
