I am extremely happy today! I got my black belt after a 4 hour test! It took me 5 1/2 years to do it, but I did it. There are more than ten people I started with. More than that, even! I may only remember eight of them, though. They quit and I am now the only one that got it out of all of them.
The statistics that my masters gave me that make it to black belt is 1% that first go through the dojo doors and take the class. To some people this is something stupid and unexciting. But I don't care, it's exciting to me! 5 1/2 years taking karate and more! I'm going to make it past 6th degree, if I can. That's what my main master is at now. I'm going to be teaching the little kids and everything. I might even get paid when I turn 15 when I teach karate.
If y'all watch the Disney channel, my friend is Kendall McCardell. The one that does triathlons and soccer. Yeah, she used to take karate with me. I'm kind of sad that she didn't make it with me, but at least I know she had her reasons. *sniffles and wipes eyes*
To explain how some of the test went. We had to stand still for at least 2 hours of it like the military. But add a little bit on to that. Put your arms up to your shoulder level with hands out in front of your chest. The left hand holding the right. Keep that for minutes and keep holding it until your turn to go up to the test instructer calls you. Yeah, that hard. But that was the worst. It has been worse before in the past. I haven't been to those, though, so I wouldn't really know. For anyone that congradulates me, thank you! ^_^ I appreciate all of my friends in the real life and on Gaia! They are very, well, friendly. Yea! I have a black belt!
