Chapter 1
“Moooooom!”Yelled Carl. “What Carl?” asked Kayle. “Bandit won’t share the speeder bike”…”Bandit, yelled Kayle. Bandit come here right now!” Bandit comes through the back door…”Yes, mom?” asked Bandit. “Bandit will you please share the speeder bike with you brother, or so help me I’ll send you to your room.” “But mom, he’s had it all week!” “I know, but “Yes, mom”, said Bandit. “Come on Kyle it’s your turn to use the speeder bike.” ”Yay! ”yelled Carl” both walked out the door. Carl has sandy colored hair, brown eyes, he is also eight years old, his brother is Bandit and they are both humans, they were also born on Iziz (the most famous city on Onderon), their mother and father are Kayle and Kyle. Bandit has blond hair, blue eyes, and is nine years old. Kayle is in her mid-twenties. She has long brown colored hair, brown eyes and her husband is Kyle. She has been married with Kyle for at least 10 years, their last name is Katarn and they live on Planet Taris. Kyle is at least three years older than Kayle. He has short blond colored hair, blue eyes, and met Kayle at the Palace in Iziz, which is where the queen lives. “Ok, on your mark, get set, GO!” Bandit yelled. “Carl started the engines, and raced off to the finish line…A few seconds later Carl got to the finish line, “Ok Carl you got a time of 43.09, good job!” “I did?” asked Carl. “Yes, you did,” said Bandit. “Sweet.” said Carl,” I’ll tell mom and dad about my racing time I have now!” Runs inside to tell mom and dad. ”Mom and Dad guess what!” Carl said excitedly.
“What?” said Mom& Dad. “I got 43.09 when I raced on the speeder bike!” “That’s nice Carl” said Mom. Now you can go play with your older brother a little while longer…”Ok Mom,” said Carl. Goes back outside. Oh, I have to go I’ll be back later tonight hun. “Ok” said Kayle. Kyle went out the door. “Now that I’m out of the house why don’t I head over to the cantina to play a few games of Pazzak to pay Vossk back” While walking down the street… “Well, well look who we have here.” said a familiar voice. Kyle turns around. “Oh, Canderous” Kyle says nervously. “You still owe Davik some credits, so hand them over,” He said. “I don’t have the money right now, but I will get it soon just give me more time”. “Sorry, but your time is up we’ve given you enough time already”. “Please just give me a little more time.” Kyle begged. “Hold him still boys” two of his men grabbed him tightly by the arms. Canderous picked up his blaster and said… “Davik said either you pay up or you die, since you can’t pay” “Wait…” Kyle yelled. “You should have paid when you had the chance.” Canderous shot Kyle and killed him “Come on boys lets get out of here before the military gets our heads for this” He and his men ran off and left Kyle’s dead body in the middle of the street. A few hours later a young lady who saw the whole thing went to the military and told what happened to him.
(A day later an officer came to Kayle’s house and knocked on the door. Kayle opened the door) “Are you Mrs. Katarn?” He said. “Why, yes I am,” she said “May I help you officer?” she asked. “I have come to tell you some news, it’s about your husband.” “What is the news, please don’t tell me something happened to him.”
“He well um it’s going to be hard saying this. He took a deep breath. Vossk’s right hand man killed your husband a few hours ago, Vossk you might have heard of him. Kayle’s face turned pale white ”No, this can’t be true. Is it true officer did he really get killed?” He nodded “I’m sorry Mrs.Katarn, by the time a young lady told us what happened and when we got there he was quite dead…Kayle fell on the chair behind her weeping.
“I know it’s quite sad but we couldn’t do anything for him even if we gotten there sooner he was bleeding fast. Bandit and Carl came into the room “Mom why are you crying?” asked Carl. “It’s nothing for you to worry about kids. Please get ready for bed now” “Ok mom” They said. “I’m still sorry for what happened to your husband,” said the officer. “I know your sorry officer you did everything you could.” “Well I must be going now.” He opens the door. “Good-Bye officer, and thanks for the news,” she said.” Oh and here’s some advise, it’s best that you would leave the city and move somewhere else. Then he closed the door and was on his way. Upstairs Carl and Bandit were getting ready for bed…”What do you suppose mom was crying about asked Carl? “I really don’t know,” replied Bandit. Mom came in the room “Ok, kids get into bed and I’ll say good-night.” “Mom?” said Bandit as he was getting into bed. “Why were you crying downstairs?” Bandit asked. Mom laughed ”Well Bandit I got bad news from an officer saying that Kyle was shot and killed by Canderous” “Does that mean dad won’t be coming back? said Carl. “Yes, I’m afraid so” “Oh” Carl gave a sad look and got into bed “Well goodnight” said mom. “Good-night” They said. Kayle left the room.
