A GRIMOIRE OF FORBIDDEN SUTRAS
SCROLL VIII: A FLOWER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GARDEN
A small flower grew in the center of the garden. Little and tender, the flower tried not to move, fearing to call the attention of an unwanted creature that could eat her. And yet, one day, a griffin noted her and with flair he walked to her.
"Bon jour, mon amour," he greeted her, "what are such a beauty doing all alone, in the middle of this garden?"
"Beauty? Who? Me?" Replied the little flower and then giggled. "I'm not beautiful, silly!"
"Of course you are, mon petite. The most beautiful flower I've ever met and I'm not ashamed to say this: I love you already."
"Love me?"
"Yes. I love you with all my being. The ocean is so little compared to the feeling flooding my chest! Please, deliver me from this suffering!"
"But are you suffering? Why?" The little flower worried, because she has never made anybody suffer, so the sole thought of it made her feel bad.
"You know why... because you won't love me..." A tear rolled out from the griffin's eye.
"But... please, don't suffer... I... I love you!" Yelled the flower, blushing while softly spreading her tender petals.
Gently, the griffin kissed her with his beak, and while she trembled with her first kiss, he bitten off half of her petals while she screamed and begged, but the griffin just laughed at her.
A second bite ripped off the rest of her petals, and while she cried in pain, a third bite broke her stem and then the griffin walked away, singing to himself full of joy.

The little flower lied in the middle of the garden, feeling the life escaping her body. Silently crying for all she gave in a moment of fleeting passion.

A hoof stopped besides her. The little flower looked up and saw the face of a unicorn, watching her in silence.
"Don't stare at me." The flower said.
"I'm not staring, but watching." The unicorn replied.
"Go away. I won't love you, I once fell for that and it won't happen again. If you want to eat what is left from me, just do it."
The unicorn didn't reply, just touched the little flower with his horn and healed her stem, a second touch gave her back all her petals, a third touch made her feel relieved, and then the unicorn turned around.
"Wait!" The flower called him.
The unicorn glanced back.
"Stay with me. You were nice to me; I don't want to lose you."
"You're a beautiful little flower," replied the unicorn, "but I'm a unicorn, I never stay, not even for maidens." And so he walked away.

A small flower withered in the center of the garden. Little and sad, the flower tried not to move, fearing to call the attention of an unwanted creature that could harm her again.
So, my little flowers, never trust a griffin's beak, for they're cruel and wicked and just want to devour everything you are. And never ask a unicorn to stay, for though lovable they don't know how to love.
