We'll start things off with my latest attempt at writing:

OWN WAY

Like blazin' through a red light
Or goin' ninety down the freeway,
All the signs are screamin' stop,
But you keep goin' anyway.

Like jumpin' without a parachute,
Regardless what the warnin's say.
Lock an' load with out the safety,
Since you're goin' to anyway.

Like fallin' down forever
With no knight to save the day,
You knew it was gonna happen,
An' you jumped off anyway.

Throwin' caution to the wind,
Jus' ******** what the warnin's say.
Tell Reason to kiss your a**
An' keep on goin' anyway.

Again, this is just me tryin' something out. A new voice that came through that I would normally complicate, but this time I felt compelled to just let it flow as it was. Much in the same thing that the poem expresses.

Definitely not one of my best pieces, but some of the patterns turned out nicely. And somehow this managed to force its way out during a bout of writers block.

Beyond that, I blame Timo for my recent obsession with Kamikaze and Duck and Run. I can actually sing the latter, though. I don't think I'm built with the vocal chords for the former.

Anyway, other things to contemplate and cleaning to put off. Laters.
