How far are stars? They hover endlessly in the deep and dark places of space, glowing faintly. Why? Their light shines for eons, ages, seconds, then go out when they do, their fires diminished after millions of years. What feeds them? What desire, what purpose pushes them forward into the future without questioning their destinies, without needing to stop and ask why? And do humans have a similar desire? To shine and shine until you tire and fade, burning yourself out in the process. To light a way for other's journeys into future times for ages and minutes until you, too, have lost your future. And is there something left after this? Or does it all burn itself up, leaving nothing for others or itself in it's funal glorious release from the world? Is this release even glorious, or is it even a release? It's an interesting thing to ponder, I think, even if the thoughts are random ones.
