Well every four years the church does the pioneer trek..we got to experience what the pioneers had to go through on their way to the Salt Lake Valley..We left at 5:30am on the 4th of July and returned home at 7:30pm on the 7th. We were divided up into trek familes and my trek ma and pa were brother and sister hughes and my family consisted of 4 girls and 4 boys; me, Amanda Ewan, Jessica Safley, Sarah Fausett, Zach Barnett, Seth Burgess, Jordan Nelson, and Cameron Noyes..We had a GREAT family :]
On the 4th there was a really bad lightning storm so we weren't allowed to leave our tents but my family didnt listen and we were running around and all of the boys were doing the "go away lightning dance" it was hilarious to watch them dance :]
On the 5th when we put our tents up the girls found out the we had slept on top of a mouse, no wonder it was squeaking all night..lol, there was another storm but it wasnt that bad, we got to stay outside for that one :] Seth's dad also taught the whole group how to square dance, it wasn't all that fun if you ask me
On the 6th we made it to the Oregon Trail and Pony Express part of the hike and all of the boys left the girls and we had to pull the handcarts up a hill all by ourselves (they left because that was the part where all of the pioneer guys left their wives) it was kinda hard..it took a lot of energy..When we were done with the hike I picked up Amanda cause she looked like she was gonna pass out, but I ended up dropping her because I tripped on a rock and I couldn't see..Seth says I tackled her but I swear I didn't
On the 7th we had a testimonial meeting that lasted 2 hrs and then we went home :] The trek was a lot of fun and I'd go on it again if I had the chance

Well i plan on talkin' about my days, my friends, my loves (lol), my struggles in life, pretty much anything that i feel like putting is getting put...i dont care if that is lame that is what i am talkin' about in my journal!
