Devil May Cry is extremely popular. because of its popularity, there are many things that DMC has became. it is a manga, a novel, a game, and most recently, an anime.

there are only two manga since the authors gave up on it. but then its not that great of a manga anyway. it just tells about the third game (prequel) with more detail and added info. the art sucks though. Arkam looks like a bug with a rash. it doesn't do Dante and Vergil justice either. FYI u should stay away from the manga.

there are also two novels as well. the novels explain what happens before the games. EX: the first novel is the story right before the first game. the end of the novel is the start of the game. the cool thing about the novels is that it tells you a little more about Dante life that isn't shown in the games. like Dante loves strawberry sundaes. u wouldn't know that by playing the games. it also shows some stuff about his past: friends, guns, Vergil. they're great. FYI read the novels.

there are three games with a fourth coming out soon. in the first game, Dante joins up with Trish, a Mudus creation. Trish looks just like Dante's mom, Eva. he ends up flling in luv with Trish but she leaves him anyway. in the second game, Dante joins up with Lucia, another Mundus creation. she ends up falling in luv with him. in the third game (prequel) Dante helps Mary (Lady) stop Vergi (Dante's brother) and kill Arkam (Mary's father). Mary likes Dante and Dante respects Mary but they don't end up together. why does Dante get all the girls anyway. Vergil is in all three games as an enemy who is controlled by Mundus. the forth game will be played as Nero, a man who looks just like Dante who has a demon arm. Dante shows up but only as an enemy.

as for the anime, that's cool. u can watch the first three episodes on YouTube now but more are coming out of course. Dante looks great animated. his character is perfect and his voice matches his personality. Mary and Trish also show up in the anime but no Lucia. there is an added character who joins Dante in the first episode. her name is Patty Lowell. she's just a little girl but she teases Dante and looks after him when needed. he hasn't thrown her out yet so he's pretty attached to her. he even gives her a sincere smile in the first episode. Patty has a little crush on him even though she won't show it. the blood is great and the demons look cool. the battles are intense and the weapons are great. it's the best anime yet.
