I'm writing this to talk about my favorite Manga, Comic Party, which no one in the US seems to know anything about, which is a shame because it's a really great series.
By Sehiko Inui, Comic Party is a great Comedy/Romance about Kazuki Sendoh, an artist who, after failing art school, is drawn into the world of Doujinshi (underground Manga) by a classmate (Taishi rocks, he will rule the world!) Kazuki quickly discovers that manga-making is his passion, and ends up in some crazy situtations at the Comic Parties (like a local Comic Con). There's a lot of funny stuff in here, as well as considerable romance towards the ending. Sadly, there are only 5 books. Not sure if it can be found online.
Obviously, Taishi is my favorite character. He's really funny and a complete freak... And he wants to rule the world. we'd make a good match.
