RIP 5th.
Pritchard
It was nice knowing you. You were a good friend to us all!

The other day, President Bush passed a Bill that allows him to seize your property if you oppose the Iraq War. Hahahah! That's just dandy. Oh wait, this ******** sucks.

Oh, well to make things worse, a while back he passed a Bill which lets him have near-dictorial powers over the government whenever he declares a National Emergency (The bill lists a very vague "other reasons" as a reason to give Bush control of the government).

There *is* always the possibility of challenging him in court, or him being impeached, but most people don't know about this s**t going on so the politicians are afraid of being hailed down by the news for taking actions the general public doesn't understand. As for challenging him in court, that's what Guantanamo Bay's for! You lookin for a place to stay till the end of your days, send yourself over to Guantanamo Bay, where you don't have any legal rights, Yaaay!!

I'd say I'm moving out of the USA, but I still believe in it. Bush just needs to be impeached. Of course, you know, everyone who listens to the (business) media loves to talk about how eliminating our freedoms is great, because it keeps us safer...not :P

NOTE: Because some people are stupid, I decided to link directly to the Bills, which I knew none of you would actually read.

Article on Bush's Dictorial Bill

PS: Bush also tried to get rid of Public Broadcasting recently, because the Public shouldn't be allowed to have free and open news! You want a citation for that, look it up yourself. The House said HELL NO.

Quotes from the Bills:

"Dictorial Bill" (Actually a National Security Bill, but same thing considering the powers it grants).

Here's a list of the government functions Bush gains power over:
Quote:
(g) "Government Functions" means the collective functions of the heads of executive departments and agencies as defined by statute, regulation, presidential direction, or other legal authority, and the functions of the legislative and judicial branches;

And, well lookie here, what can be a reason to call upon the Bill's enactment:
Quote:
(b) "Catastrophic Emergency" means any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government functions;

Who gets to decide how things are handled?
Quote:
(1) This directive establishes a comprehensive national policy on the continuity of Federal Government structures and operations and a single National Continuity Coordinator responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of Federal continuity policies. This policy establishes "National Essential Functions," prescribes continuity requirements for all executive departments and agencies, and provides guidance for State, local, territorial, and tribal governments, and private sector organizations in order to ensure a comprehensive and integrated national continuity program that will enhance the credibility of our national security posture and enable a more rapid and effective response to and recovery from a national emergency.
