Meh...End of the World-Chapter One
Okay I have not posted in awhile so Im really sorry about that. Anyway here is chapter one of my new story...:

Some people wonder what it is like to have twin, but not just a twin...an identical twin. I'm here to tell you, that it is not all its cracked up to be, especially if your twin is not the same gender as you are.

My name is Alexandria Grant, and this is my story of how I was accidentally switched with my brother, Alexander Grant.

Before all that drama, I should probably start off with how I was able to be mistaken for Alex. I was unfortunately or fortunately cursed with a flat chest. Also I do my hair almost exactly like my brother does, and I even borrow his clothes. Many consider me a tomboy, and I don't agree or disagree.

I guess it really started on that day in August......

It was normal Saturday in the Grant household. Well as normal as it can get with a set of twins and two other children. No those children were not my friends or my brother's they were my older brother and sister. Alex and I were the babies, even though we were seventeen, almost eighteen actually.

“Alexander! Alexandria! Get your rear ends down here!” my mother shouted at us from the base of our stair case. Sighing in unison, Alex and I trudged out of our room, well not the bedroom. We shared a computer and game room. Alex actually descended on the steps, and I slid down the banister, earning a stern look from my mother.

She never liked it when I would slide down the banister. She would say something about it not being safe. But that was Andrea Grant for you. My mom is a safety nut. I have a feeling that would be because she is a doctor and sees how nasty falls can affect a person and all that medical stuff that I have no idea about. Now, she's just the regular doctor that you go too before you have to go to the hospital.

When we entered our moderately large kitchen, I saw my father sitting at the table reading the paper like usual and of course, his mug of black coffee in hand.”Hey daddy!” I said and gave him a kiss on the head. “Hey, baby girl!” he said, taking his head out of the paper to give me a kiss on the cheek. My dad, Aaron Grant, is the CEO of a local company. I really don't know much about it, but I know that its for the state or even national government, hence it would be a secret.

Though my mom is a doctor and my dad is a CEO, we aren't totally loaded like everyone believes we are. They make enough to pay the bills for this moderately large house, and groceries and clothes. The extra money my parents make is put into savings for emergencies for times when Aiden is broke. Aiden is my older brother who is a little irresponsible when it comes to money. Also, my parents save money for trips and such.

I sat at the island while Alex took a seat at the table with dad. I watched as mom expertly finished making a good looking brunch. Sure my mom might have been a doctor, but that doesn't mean she sucks in the kitchen. Actually, she have considered going to cooking school to become a famous chef. I personally believe she could have done it too since she's an amazing cook.

She smiled at me while plating the food. I smiled back. Standing up I walked over and helped her. Mom handed me two plates that were loaded. “Will you please give these to your father and brother?” she nicely asked me. I took the plates, nodding a yes before turning towards the table. “Food, you guys...” I said before placing a plate in front of my dad first before setting the other in front of my brother. I thought it showed courtesy to the older one.

I could hear my dad fold the paper and place it on the table. The next thing I heard was silverware clinking against the plates. I took my plate from my mom and sat at the island, facing the table at least. Before I knew it I saw a blur of blond. Aiden smiled mischievously from the door way with a piece of...my toast. I sent him a weak glare.

“Love you too, Xandria!” He said with a laugh before downing the toast. “Mum, dad...I'm going out with Shawn and the guys, I'll be back later!” Before mom or dad could say anything Aiden had already left. Shawn was a college buddy, as well as the other guys that he would be hanging out with.

My parents just shook their head as we all heard a motorcycle rev up before zooming away. Aiden was a little devil, but I loved him. He taught me how to play poker, and how to play soccer which I love to play. I looked around curiously.

“Hey, mom, where is Ashley?” Ashley was my older sister. She was the one who made sure I didn't turn into a totally tomboy.

“Oh, she went to work.” my mom simply said before taking a bit of food.

'I didn't think Ash worked today...' I thought as I took a few bites of eggs and bacon.

“Hey Dia,” I rolled my eyes at that name. Alex knew that I hated it.

“What Ander?” The was the name I chose to annoy him with. I saw him sigh.

“I was just wondering if you wanted to go to the arcade with me and Joe. I heard that Bree would be there...”

I shrugged. “Bree and I are hanging out at the mall tomorrow, but I might come later, I gotta clean my room.” Alex snickered at this. I rolled my pretty hazel eyes at him. “Just because you live in a pig sty, doesn't mean that I do. Besides, it your turn to clean up the game room.”

I cleared my dishes away and took my parents finished plates to the sink. Since I was there, I began to hand wash them. I always though it was cooler to hand wash dishes than use power and money to use the dishwasher.

As I was finishing the drying, I heard my brother leave. I sighed as I trudged back up to my room. From the door to the window, it was a mess. That was one of my bad bad bad habits. I would always let my room go until I couldn't stand it anymore before actually getting up and cleaning it. I sighed and entered. I stepped over piles and through piles until I reached my music shelf. It was a shelf with all my Cds and Cd player on it. I slipped in a Panic! CD, cranking the volume up.

My parents really didn't care about loud music since they usually were not home during the times we would listen to music. I started with my clothes since they made up have or more than half the mess.

It took a good hour and half for me to put ALL my things away (that included books, my sheet music, and various other things). When it was all done, I could see my carpet, my desk, and my bed. Thankfully none of the mess crinkled my posters. I didn't have wallpaper, I had posters. They were of everything from books to movies to bands.

I quickly changed into jeans and a t-shirt before zooming out my bedroom. I gabbed my pack that was by the door. “I'm leaving for the arcade....See ya later, Mom and Dad!” i called before grabbing my skateboard from inside the hall closet.

It took me about half an hour to get to the arcade. Well, normally it would only take fifteen minutes, but if you knew me, then you would know that I love to do tricks on my 'board. I stuffed my board into my back before entering the black and neon lighted building. It never took long to spot Alex. He was always on one or two games. I heard chanting to I knew where to look. Sure enough, I soon saw my brother, owning someone in Dance Dance Revolution. My brother was second best. Almost no one could beat him.

I saw Bree with her boyfriend Wyatt. I smiled at her and she gave me a thumbs up. I looked at the poor soul who was going against my brother. The poor guy was losing very badly. Looking around, I saw Greg, a guy at my school. I wove through the crowd. “Hey Greg, let me borrow your sweatshirt...I want to freak Xander out.” I said with a smirk. Greg just rolled his eyes me before handing his sweatshirt over.

I got it on just as my brother was asking, “Who wants to try next?”

I walked forward but kept my head bent. Lowering my voice I said, “I will.”

“Okay then, good luck mate.”

I nodded at him as I climbed up onto the platform.

Soon I was beating him. I smiled brightly when the game announce me winner. I removed the hood and smirked at Xander. “Beat ya again, BOO SHAW! In your face!” I laughed at his defeat look. I sighed, knowing that laughing wasn't the nicest thing. “Look just keep practicing one day you will beat me.” I shrugged and jumped off the stage.

After spending a few more hours blowing our money away on various things ( like at least a few rounds of laser tag...this arcade was HUGE), Alex and I finally entered our home, rather tired from the energy we spent.

“Alexandria, will you get the mail, please!?” asked my mom from inside the kitchen just as i put my skateboard back into the closet. Alex had already gone to his room.

“Sure!” I yelled back, going back outside to our mail box to gather whatever kind of mail we would get. Like most people, it was just junk or bills. I mean occasionally I get a letter from a friend or Aiden, when he is in college but other than that, nothing really exciting. Every blue moon I would get invites to various concerts which I was always pumped to go to.

I shut the door with my foot before proceeding to the kitchen. As a habit that I formed when I first started to collect the mail for the day, I flipped through the letters and mentally checking off if it was junk or a bill.

There was one envelope that was thicker than the rest. I held on to it after I place the rest of the mail on the counter. They say curiosity killed the cat, well I almost died when I saw something written that I really wasn't expecting.

“ALEX!!!”

I screamed his name out of frustrations and anger. I could not believe he could keep something THIS HUGE from me. We rarely kept ANYTHING a secret, and now that I knew he had kept one from me...I was extremely hurt and angry at him for keeping this from me, for on the envelope addressed to one “ Mr. Alexander Grant” was:

St. Constantine's School for Boys

It was the end of the world as I knew it.
