Too bad I didn't really enjoy the movie. It's called Dare mo shiranai (aka Nobody Knows).
It was kind of interesting at first, but as the movie progressed, you kind of knew where it was going and you were waiting for the inevitable. While I wasn't chasing subtitles, I thought about symbols and metaphors and all that shat. The nail polish was a pretty obvious one. But that was the only one I could really understand. xp My brain wandered off on thoughts about human behaviourism in their situation. I thought they were rather jaded about the whole thing. Which makes sense since I'm sure they're used to not seeing their mom for a good deal of the time. xp
