Crudmuffins
Blah. Ramblings of an idiot.
An epiphany
It's funny how the mixture of Josh Groban and taking a trip across Texas can really make you think.

I was in the car, riding down to visit Baylor University today, and right after you get out of Dallas, there's NOTHING until you hit a few towns. You just have small po-dunk farm towns and lots of open space (what Texas is famous for).

I was listening to my MP3 player in the car, with my feet propped up on the window, mouthing the words to my favorite songs as people looked at me and sped away. Josh Groban's "February Song" came on, and since it's one of the many songs of his that I have that I don't know the words to, I really listened to it this time.

As the car came on top of a small hill (we don't have big hills, you see), the line "all you need to love/is in front of your eyes" played. I looked up and saw beauty - you could see all the way...all the way to the end of the earth, it seemed. And it made me think.

Everything I love is in front of my eyes - my friends, my family...Christiian. They're all right here.

As we rolled down the hill, I could still see that wonderful place. If you know the song, then you know that what comes next is the 'bridge' music - and at the end, it's very climactic. When that music hit, birds flew up in a clump...right up to the clouds.

If you've ever looked up at the clouds and seen pictures...then you'll know what I'm talking about (and that I'm not being insane). The birds flew up to the clouds and then parted, showing me a clump of clouds that looked a lot like two people kissing.

And it gave me hope. Just because I'm weird and hopelessly romantic. And probably in love.

I like him a lot.
