Waiting...
Worried...
It's probably nothing
But what if it's everything?
What if...
The one time it matters...I'm not there?
I'd be a failure.
So i sit here
Worried, biting nails and
Glancing at the clock
Hovering near the phone.
Waiting for it to jar me from my thoughts
Nothing else seems to matter
Everything else can wait.
Till the wave of relief
That everything is indeed okay.
