I dreamt that I would meet you,
that we'd get to know each other.
I dreamt you'd be perfect,
my hopes I might discover.
I dreamt you'd be sweet,
the kind of guy to bring home to mom.
I dreamt your every quality,
a guy everyone likes to have around.
I dreamt you'd be tall and handsome,
that you'd impress me with being smart.
I dreamt that I could fall for you,
that I could trust you with my heart.
I dreamt you'd have eyes
that would make my body melt.
I dreamt that your kiss
could make me feel something I've never felt.
I dreamt that your smile
could light up my whole day.
I dreamt that your simple touch
could take my breath away.
I dreamt you'd be respectful
not just with me, but with others, too.
I dreamt I'd get butterflies
