~Summon Chaos~
There exists in this world two main types of magic. White Magic, used to heal, protect the weak, and strengthen their protectors, along side White, there is also Black Magic, used to attack and destroy.
Black Magic is often referred to as Dark Magic, a force of nothing but evil and chaos.
But, one thing seems to have been forgotten, just because something is dark does not mean it is evil, just dark.
Now, let me present to you a tale of one, who has shown the difference between dark, and evil!
In the land of Azuron there is no greater school of magic then Drathirei Academy, school of the Grande Arcane.
Here is where some of the greatest Sorcerers and Sorceresses of they’re time have been taught, and within it lies the next mages to make history.
At the beginning of the year every new student takes part in a summoning ritual, bringing forth a creature to act as they’re companion and guide to the world of magic.
Now, enough with the technical stuff. Let me introduce you to the star of this little tale
A young Mage named Siks….
“Alright, next up is….Jonathan Sunstrider” The head Summoner called out as he approached the edge of the circle, a cloaked boy coming towards him “Now, extend your hand” The man instructed to the boy, who nodded and did as told. Upon his hands arrival above the circle the man stabbed it slightly with a small knife, then blood sliding off the blade and onto the circle.
After that the man and several others began to chant, the circle beginning to glow a teal like colour as the blood merged with the circle. Then, with a flash of light a small white hound appeared in the middle of the circle and approached the boy. The Summoner smiled and nodded “Very good now….Siks…hmm…no last name….well Siks would you please come here!?” The man shouted out.
An oddly dressed boy stepped forward, a mask covering his face “I’m…I’m here” He said nervously beside the man, extending his hand as he knew he should, his eyes closed behind the mask. He never could stand the sight of blood.
The Summoner nodded and took the blood from Siks hand, beginning the ritual immediately after. A gasp came from the crowd, the Summoner with holding their surprise until the ritual was over. For while they chanted instead of teal the glow of the circle an ominous blood read, the flash of light followed by a blood curdling cry. The Summoner gasped at what sat in the center of the circle, the creatures gleaming red eyes fixed upon Siks. The Summoner looked to Siks for a moment and then called for the others to come to his side immediately, the crowd inching away in fear and bewilderment. For what sat in the summoning circle, the creature that was supposed to guide Siks, was a Dark Dragon, something that for generations had become the symbol of a Dark Wizard.
The Summoners looked at one another nervously after looking at the dragon once more, the creature taking a step closer, sniffing the air as it looked around the room.
It then looked at Siks, its eyes starring straight into his My name is Rorick. These words echoed inside Siks head for a moment before he realized it was the dragon, but that was about to be last thing on his mind.
The room echoed as the large oaken doors slammed open, a dozen armored wizards entering the room, the schools headmaster at the back. The Wizards scattered around the circle, each preparing a different spell just incase. The headmaster then strode over to Siks, a grim expression on his face. He looked to the Summoner “Is this the boy?” He asked, adjusting his spectacles for a moment. The Summoner quickly nodded, before taking a step back as to get out of the way.
The Headmaster then took Siks by the arm and began to drag him away, the dragon padding slowly behind them, the wizards following it carefully.
Eventually they reached their destination, the schools front doors, the headmaster looked at Siks grimly before throwing him out the door, the dragon being magically hurled with him “I’m afraid that, due to suspicions that you may one day become a dark wizard, we have no choice but to expel you from this academy, and should you ever return your dragon shall be killed, and you will be incarcerated…” With that the headmaster slammed the doors shut.
Siks blinked twice, a stunned and confused look on his face as he sat they’re on the ground. He then looked to the dragon and back to the school “What have I gotten myself into…” Was all he said as the dragon sat down beside him.
