"Dimensional Diversion" -- Ch. 2 semi-rewrite
Semi rewrite? That means this chapter was revised as I typed it, but still retains the general story of what I put on paper. Ch. 1 was a complete rewrite, because I had to change the story to match the already existing storyline. Reviews are welcome. *takes cover*

Now realizing that fighting was futile, Thad and his companions were now on the ground, shielded by a barrier, trying desparately to open a portal.

Actually, Thad was trying desparately to open a portal. Skai maintained the force field (which unfortunately was not reflective this time) while fiery, explosive doom rained down upon it. Mizurai sat back, unable to do anything at all to help. In her mind, she debated with herself whether or not they would survive. Last of all, Kaze counted Thad's attempts to open a portal.

"38...39...40..."

"Shut up, Kaze!" Thad yelled as he slashed the air once more with his fan.

"41..."

Thad was tempted to knock him out, but decided against it. He simply growled and continued slashing at the air.

Oddly enough, each time Thad attempted to open a dimensional portal directly in front of him, a portal opened in the midst of the attacking ships. Of course, none of the heroes knew this, and Thad continued slashing at the air, unaware of the havoc he was wreaking within a one mile radius.

"49...50...51"

By now, the force field had begun to weaken. However, the frequency of explosions decreased as well, thanks to Thad's continued efforts.

When Thad slashed the air for the 55th time, a dimensional portal opened in front of him out of pure luck. "Alright! Let's bust outta here!" His companions complied, not wanting to be annihilated.

Going back to the last chapter I agree with Sirk, maybe a brief peace seen (maybe while the war moves towards them)
Even though I know all the characters, it'd be nice to have you introduce them again. It'd just flow a little better =p

Nice 'Thad humor', which is what I'm going to call it (also good is how the characters bounce off each other). I liked both chapters
Oh, and you are going to explain the weird floating right? Right

The floating is thoroughly explained in the first chapter. It's a different dimension, so it must have some outstanding characteristic. In that dimension, everything flies. No gravity. They're not in space, though...
