I want to go back

To believing in everything

And knowing nothing at all

When I didn't have to force a smile

To get through another day.

When life was whimsicle

Everything was musical

And dreams were said to come true

But belief turned to doubt

And doubt led to knowledge

Knowledge led to miserey

Why couldn't they leave the dreaming girl

In her wonderland of belief

And let her heart soar

And let her wings spread

But the put her in chains

Her beliefs were outside the walls they built

And she can't break the chains

She only hopes

They will let others
