Well the water balloon fight is over, and Durem is the winner. I was on Barton, and we came in third. Still not bad. I still don't know how I feel about the trophies being the prizes, nor about how we only had gold and silver ones. No bronze? WTF! Why not? Oh well. I'm just hoping that the 100k price we're getting in the next day or so is something we can be all grateful to have. I know a lot of people are looking forward to it, but a ridiculous number of Gaians are beyond skeptical about it too.

My quest has taken a bit of a detour, but I'll be starting work on it again after tektek's updated. With the new hairstyles I want to do an avi entrant for the Avi Arena again. It'll be original, but I don't know by how much, nor if it'll get accepted. I say this only because, well, have any of you seen what the Top 10 was for last week? What the heck are those? Someone put Marvin the Martian from Looney Toons in the arena, twice, and it still didn't make it to the winner's area. WTF?! The ones up there now, I don't agree with half of them winning over the other great avis that I gave 10's on. They were so wonderfully done. Some of them were expensive cosplays too. But they didn't win. Gaians are such a fickle breed. talk2hand

The storyline for the new quest seems kind of intriguing, if not confusing. I'm surprised at how early they're doing this year's Halloween quest. It's barely September, and they started this back in, what? July? I can't remember when I spent all those thousands of gold. I'm just glad I had that much on me at the time. All I can say is that this quest better be worth the godl that was poured into it, or the mods and admin are going to be having to deal with angry, now poor Gaians.

I love the idea of coming up with new items next week. So many items are put up by so many different Gaians every day, but now there's a chance at making those items take actual shape. The problem is that so many of the items everyone wants, are cosplay items. Gaia wants original ones. The winner gets 500k. For me, that'd last about six seconds. Damn quest being so bloody expensive. stare If I could draw I'd do it. Actually, if I had a working scanner, and could draw, I'd do it. I've got a few ideas I wouldn't mind laying out, and because it's apparently for the store, it's a simplified design, not a complex one like the MCs have to be.

The new Marketplace design is pretty cool, but I'm fearful of the prices that we'll be seeing thanks to that 2%. It's still being argued over, but it'll never change. Just like the design for Gaia, which I don't like, will never change.

Lastly, I seem to have lost my edge at making new designs for my avi with the clothes and hair I've already got. Whenever I try to dress him up, I either go blank, or go back to an old look that I've done time, and time again. My last one wasn't too bad. At least it was original.
