Sad, ain't it?
SAMPLE

The only RP's that lasted long enough are off-Gaia. This one's about a year and a half old, so I promise I've gotten better. >.<

Post 1: (Me = Kobi)

"AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!" The voice pierced the relative silence (save for the murmurs of conversation in the distance). Kobi flailed about, pacing in one direction, sprinting back the other, tromping about like a nervous racehorse. "What the God-d**ned flying $%#@ is going on here!!??"

Her head snapped back, eyes fixing on the alien sky. "God?!?! C'mon, man, this ain't funny! This is sick! SICK!! I wanna wake up! Right now! Ya' hear me? Not funny!!" She delivered a swift kick to an adjacent slab of stone, sending vines and cords into disarray as she fumed. Kobi found comfort in the sound of her own voice, enjoying the way it filled the void. Made her feel like she was at home. A small bit of hope. She continued to trudge through the strange ruins, taking little notice of the structures as she focused more so on her current predicament. Color in the distance. Humanoids. Dare she approach? Could they perhaps be monsters? After all, this was no normal place. Dream world, limbo, Captain Crunch's fruity-licious inner circle of Hell. Her orange gaze locked on a fallen branch, which she promptly picked up and claimed as her own prized weapon.

Alright, gotta be cautious about this. Plan of attack: uh... don't get killed? By giant spiders? Of spidery doom? Screw this, might as well weed'm out before they get me first.

And with her amazon battle cry, she charged, screaming as she stormed through the brush with her branch held in what she assumed to be a decent offensive position. There, just ahead, the pack of'm, looking remarkably like boys, but perhaps not quite males! Perhaps not quite human at all! The mind's eye could play tricks if it so desired. She maintained ramming speed, bursting through the greenery in a flurry of vines and leaves, her figure alive with the fury of an utterly out-of-place rock goddess.

There, in all her glory, she faced down the three of the rag tag lot, "Nobody move! I mean, NOBODY! Don't you even %^&$'ing twitch!" Left, right, then right again, flaming eyes matching equally flaming hair as she scrutinized the rather human-looking creatures... taking in their attire with modest appreciation.

(REPLIES: a bunch of people are whining and yelling)

Post #2:

None of the comments really quelled the beast inside her, for she didn't appreciated being belittled in such a fashion. Or in any fashion, for that matter. The fear evaporated, partially due to the realization that these creatures appeared to be in the same situation... and also because of the remarks that replaced the panic with indignant anger. Kobi lowered the stick considerably, brows furrowing as her face darkened in a challenge. She seemed to inflate as she took a few more steps forward, disregarding her own boisterous entrance as she inspected the newcomers. The jungle boy seemed alright... the death stare had an oddly reassuring element to it, like she was guaranteed a good ole' fashion fist fight. The others, however, prattled like incessant song birds... serenading peace and love and other bull crap like that. The purple-haired one struck a foul note in Kobi's book... and would probably remain thus for some time.

"How the $%#@ are you all so fine and dandy with this? Prancing through the forest like everybody's your friend?" She wagged the branch in the direction of the deep forest, indicating her point. "How was I s'posed to know you weren't raging cannibals or something? Dressed like that and congregatin'..."

Eyes locked on the slight girl, narrowing in a promise of retribution. Her hands itched to punch in that pretty little face of hers... but with the grace of fellow rock gods, she resisted.

"Jungle boy here seems to be the only one doin' this right." A jerk of her head in his direction indicated her mingled appreciation and caution. The scream in the distance had her at the ready once more, branch clutched tightly as she spun on her heel.

"Freaking a'... What the hell is going down here?"
