Mmmm...

Well I might as well go ahead and tell all.
I'm expected to be the taxi (partially) for some of my family members who don't own cars (particularly my mother and my younger sister).

Had to go pick up my younger sister today for some reason. So I left like normal, picked her up, and took her back to my mother's house.

On the way back to my house, there were three cars ahead of me, going the speed limit. Course I always go 5 mph over, so I caught up, though looking back I wish I hadn't.

I noticed the car ahead of me starting to slow down, and the truck in front of it had turned on its "right turn" blinkers.

I went to slow down, and didn't think anything of it when I was able to push the break all the way down to the floor. In fact, it didn't don on me until about 3 seconds later when everyone started slowing down more and the guy started turning off of the highway...I had no breaks.

Apparently I'd broken a break cylinder and the "shoes" were pretty much toast.

Anyway, so I have a car ahead of me, and one truck turning. I'm going too fast to be able to slow down with what little breaks do I have, and I cant pass them because there's on-coming traffic as well.

So I ended up opting for the ditch. It was a bumpy ride. Smacked my chin against the wheel, and was barely able to get out of the ditch because it had been raining and it was muddy. Other than that, all turned out well.

Here I'd planned on going back home to take a nap. Yeeeeah, that didn't happen...
