The night i'll never forget
I was walking through the forest, where i walk my dog through every day since my wife had left me with my little girl beside her. Three months ago i had gone through a terrible divorce and my wife took my baby gurl and got sole custody and left me alone. When suddenly i realized that somthing was diffrent in the path. There was a distant sound i heard, but i couldn't figure out what it was or where it came from. I walked around the corner and found a lone harp. The stange thing was that it was playing without anyone there beside it. Just then i saw a..." No it can't be i must be dreaming," i told myself not beliving my eyes. What was before me was a ghostly figure of a little girl.
I tried to wake myslef up form what i thought was a dream, though i couldn't, no matter how hard i tried. When i looked up, she was gone but the harp was still there, only it had stopped playing. I thought that she would come back if i waited. I stood there, for at least five hours and nothing came. So i diecided to walk slowly up to the harp. When i reached for the harp it started to play again. I thought that i was making it play. I wasn't. I looked up and there was the ghostly girl again standing on the water just, staring at me. She was about seven years old form the look of her body. When she looked at me she had the brightest blue eye's i have ever seen and they felt wellcoming in a way.
"Why have you come to my home?" a little voice whisperd.
"Your home?" i asked.
"Yes, I have lived here for three years just waiting for somone to come and find me."
"How did you wander way out here?"
"I had no choice they took me here and then everything went black."
"Why did everything go black?"
"I was killed." The little voice whispered one last time.
The little girl started to walk away and motioned for me to fallow her, we walked about one hundred feet and there was a body laying there. I stood ther astonished unable to speek. For a moment, it like all the life had been drained out of me. My body went cold and i felt like i couldn't stand, thank god the tree was there holding me up. When i looked down at my hands and they where purple and the blood was gone.
That was when i realized it was actully being drained out of me, and into the body that was lying on the cold ground! The little ghost girl was fading and the body was coming back to life, and so i stook ther just letting it happen doing the right thing, though it might kill me: I felt bad for the girl.
Suddenly she stood up and gave me a big hugg and said, "I thank you for curing the curse i have had on me since i was a little girl. When i was killed they didn't know that i could be rivived. My curse only let one person with a kind heart bring me back, and you were that one person allowed , chosen, by the gods to save me."
She carried me home that night because I was too weak to walk. We got half way home and she stopped and had to rest. As we laid there we looked up at the stars and started to count them like we were family. Ever since that night we have been back there every night to sit under the tree and listen to the harp play, even though no one is there. I still wonder how everything that night had happened, and surprisenly i never think twice that i might have never been abl to have the life that i have now if i hadn't walked into the forest that fateful night.
