To all of my Gaian friends out there [both near and far.]:
I just wanted to let all of you know about my anticipated absence from Gaia during most of this coming month of December. In December I will be traveling to Saudi Arabia to participate in the annual pilgrimage to the holy site of Mecca (also known as the Hajj), which must be made by all Muslims at least once in their lives. It so happens that the time for the Hajj this year, corresponds with the month of December according to the Gregorian/Solar calendar. This year will mark the first time that I will make the pilgrimage journey, along with my mother. As such, this journey will be particularly important to me in terms of its auspiciousness.
In terms of my absence from Gaia, we are scheduled to leave on December 4th and we will return home on December 26th. During this time, I will not have access to the internet. So, after December 4th, I should most likely reappear on Gaia sometime after I return home from this trip. 3nodding
Also, I wanted to mention this a bit early, just in case everyone becomes too busy with their holiday plans to read it later. I hope that you all will have a wonderful and joyous holiday season, in the company of those whom you love and care about most. heart

Edit: Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond my control, it appears that I will not be able to participate in the pilgrimage for this year, as planned. As such, the trip has been canceled. sweatdrop I am certainly disappointed with this turn of events, but all is not lost. Next year is always an option. Hopefully things will work out better for our next opportunity to make this journey. 3nodding
The good news about all of this is that I will be able to be around at least some time during the winter holidays. n_n
I of course still want to wish everyone a wonderful holiday season, spent with loved ones. heart

My highest hopes were that you got there safely and be protected by the divine when you were there.
But yay, you're staying home. I worry for your safety, and your family's as well, especially with the war going on so close to Saudi Arabia ;___;
Silly question, though - was your grandmother traveling with you as well, or if after you visited the Holy site, were you going to see her in Pakistan?
