Ch:6 New threads, das ist sehr bitchen.

After experiencing one of the best sleeps he ever had, Michael got out from under the fluffy covers and got dressed in what grans had laid out for him after he read the note from grans saying that she had burned his other clothes. First he put on a pair of red pants and a black long sleeved shirt, he then put on a red vest and a red trench coat, the trench coat had two holsters for his guns on the inside and holders for 3 clips of ammo for each gun, Gran had been kind enough to give him 6 clips, which was good because he completely forgot about ammo. He finished up by putting on plain white socks and long black boots. As he left the room, he made sure that his guns were secure in their holsters.

As he walked down the stairs after exiting his room, he could hear idle chit chat from below and it didn't sound anything like Vincent or either of the old people. He decided to investigate and when he got down there he did just that. He opened a sliding door with ease and saw several people in 1600s style garb sitting around a table while carrying on a pleasant conversation, he reached out with his right hand but it was burned by a barrier that turned dark and rippled at the touch, he quickly pulled his hand away and cradled it as white flames licked off the barrier. "That area is for those who bought indulgences. The old man said, Michael jumped upon hearing the voice behind him and his face turned a light red with embarrassment as his surprise faded away. "I'm sorry, did I startle you?" the old man asked, Harold was his name, if memory served Michael well. "I apologize if I did." Harold said in a sincere tone, but it still made Michael feel bad.

"Indulgences," Michael questioned , turning around, he asked more to change the subject than anything "What are those?" he asked even though he knew what they were, indulgences were forgiveness for temporal sins that the church sold in the 1600's. He asked Harold so the old man would not make him feel worse for being surprised.

Harold nodded to the question Michael put forward as he processed an answer. "They are false promises of salvation." Harold told Michael "Now the poor fools who bought them are forever trapped in that lie, thinking they are in heaven." Michael looked back at them and one group of people, gathered around a table, was laughing after what apparently was a good joke. "Breakfast is ready." Harold told him and walked into another room, only to stop to motion for Michael to follow and Michael complied. He entered the room from the night before, Vincent and Gran were seated at a ornate, oak table that bore mounds of food on it, Michael sat down next to Vincent

"So, what's the plan?" Michael asked as he grabbed a plate and began to load it up with food, he piled steaming fresh pancakes on top of his plate; he applied equally hot syrup liberally.

Vincent was eating his own food and swallowed to answer the question "I'll tell you later." He told Michael and kept eating. He looked rather bored while Michael might as well have been in heaven.

After breakfast, Vincent pushed his chair away from the table and stood up and walked to a door that was opposite of the one they came through the night before "I have something to show you." Vincent told Michael, not even turning back to look.
