Prologue
In the land of Hyrule, the wind blows like a peaceful summer breeze, the clouds befriend the sky, and the sun rises and sets in the beautiful amber atmosphere.
The moon shines the land and billions of stars twinkle like little studs of jewels.
Although, one day, it ws not like that. At feet of the Castle of Hyrule, the market, was in flames, as well as the castle itself.
The evil man from the Desert, Ganondorf, started this calamity to happen. He started a rebellion over the kingdom and it's King and made the throne his own.
He demanded all from the market and the loyal subjects to work under his power, or death will be their fate.
But he corrupted in anger when all is found that Zelda, the Princess of Hyrule, has escaped from the castle.
Ganondorf ordered his soldiers to search and capture her.
Fortunatly, they lost track of the Princess. But as she runs far from the soldiers, Zelda stumbles across a small house in the middle of the countryside in the dark rain...
Chapter 1
Refuge
"Open up!"
Zelda banged on the door of the house and yelled for entry.
"Please! For the Goddesses of Hyrule, please open up!"
Finally, the door opened revealing a boy in tatered clothing but with a decent face.
"Please, let me come inside..." Zelda begged. "They're after me..."
"Of course, come right in." The boy let her in. Zelda quickly stepped inside.
"Thank you so much." She said, shivering over a puddle of water and mud. To check her condition, the boy touched the wet Princess's hand. He was shocked.
"You're cold as ice! I'll get you some dry cloths."
"Thanks..." Zelda whispered in a sober voice.
Sitting quietly on the hard floor, watching the fire rapidly popping and snapping, Zelda wraps herself in a thin blanket.
"Are you feeling all right?" The boy asked.
"Yes. Thank you." Zelda replied with a small and gentle smile.
"Hey, um..." The boy paused due to shyness. "...I didn't tell you my name, did I?"
"No, I don't beleive so." Zelda said.
"Well, I might as well introduce myself! I'm Link. I'm the farm boy who lives here."
"My name's Zelda. I'm the Heir of the Royal Family of Hyrule."
Link's eyes got bigger, he couldn't beleive who she was.
"Heir?" Link exclaimed. "You mean your a Princess?" Zelda nodded. "Why is someone like you running in the middle of the dark looking for a place to stay?"
"My castle was invaded." Zelda explained. "And my Father was over thrown."
"Invaded? Over thrown? By who?" Link asked.
"An evil man from the desert..." Zelda replied. "He and his soldiers burned the market as well as my castle. And without warning, he killed my Father."
"That's horrible!" Link exclaimed loudly.
"But luckily, I escaped by using a my secret path that leads me in and out of the castle." Zelda continued. "I've known it since I was young. I thought I would escape without them notcing, but one of the soldiers saw me and chased after me. I rode my horse until I got deep into the forest; where the soldiers cannot find me."
"And the guy from the desert..." Link murmured. "Who was he?"
"His name is Ganondorf. And..." Zelda paused. "...I'm afraid he might do something terrible to Hyrule, and if he finds me, he might even kill you Link!"
"Don't worry," Link convinced. "I swear, I will protect you from Ganondorf even at the cost of my own life!"
Zelda smiled at Link, but with some concern in her eyes.
Well. That's the first Chapter.
