The moment I found this, I seriously could not stop laughing. There are so many things wrong with this, I don't even know where to begin.
• Look at the image on the right. This was found on this incredible page. If Clementine had simply talked to Leon, none of this would have ever happened.
• The only thing Clementine said that ever made sense was this: “How can I have been reported?” Clementine asks in horror. “I never use foul language or anything!” This logic should have let her know that, even if she was "reported," it wasn't for anything legit. If she'd done nothing wrong, she had nothing to be worried about.
• Her mom convinced her to submit her password. What a moron. I've known since age nine that giving out your personal information, including your password, was a stupid decision to make. It's purely common sense: Your password gives you access to your account, and to any other party who knows it.
• It's all over the place!
Exhibit A.
Not only will a moderator never ask you for your personal information, but moderators have special usernames that regular users *cough*scammers*cough* don't.
I don't think I need to explain this. At least I hope I don't. She should have seen this sometime while sending a private message in the time she's been on Gaia.
It's in the Terms of Service. "Homg, but nobody reads that!" But they should. Yeah, everyone makes a mistake once in a while. Everyone is tempted to drop an insult or two once in a while, and I have. But ... it says, right there, that giving out your password is inexcusable no matter what; insults sometimes do and will get by, or dismissed as nothing, depending on how heavy they are, but giving out your password never changes: it's always a heavy offense against yourself.
• What on earth does this teach her? That if she bitches and cries enough, she'll get her way? What about when she enters the real world? When you've got a bank account and bills to pay, you don't have the room to give out personal information to someone with a fake police badge threatening to arrest you if you don't give him your pin number. You don't have the room to sign a contract without reading it. You don't have the room to miss all of the obvious warnings.
Did I miss anything? This just pissed me off so much. xP
