RIP My bird, Pico, died today. She was our first pet. For seven years, we thought she was male, until she started laying eggs. She used to open her beak and shut her eyes and make as if she were singing, but no voice came out, so I would sing for her. She was a beautiful, grouchy little thing. She layed too many eggs and became eggbound and died this morning at home, in comfort and peace. I will miss you, my friend. Let's sing together again someday.

It had a broken wing so I didn't want it to get run over or anything... and my mom made me put it in the patio in a box. So it froze to death the next morning. I felt so terrible and I wanted to beat myself up. I thought it was a wonderful thing to find a baby bird on my birthday. D: hugs again
