I heard this story in assembly which I think was quite touching, but as im not going to tell it exactly as i heard it, it might sound different, shorter, and not as good XD (ah yes, just what stories sound like when i tell them).
Well, a guy was walking with his dog and his horse down a street. It was really really hot, but they couldnt find a place to drink. As they walked down the road, and electric pole fell down and killed them. The man didnt notice he had died, so him and his animals kept walking, but this time they were following a golden road. Still trying to find a place to drink some water, they walked on. The man finally found a beautiful fountain with water that never ended, which was guarded by a big golden fence which said "Heaven" and a guard. "Can i have some of the water in the fountain?" the man asked. "Yes", the guard answered. As the man was going in with his animals, the guard said "You are not allowed to enter here with animals." The man decided he would not leave his animals alone, so he didnt have a drink and kept on following the golden road. He finally reached another fountain, but it was only guarded by a simple door that also said heaven and what seemed to be a normal human. "Can me and my animals have some of your water?" the man asked. The guard noded. "Thankyou for letting me drink. You know, there is another place down this road that also says Heaven, you should report them because they are copying the name of your place" said the man. "No, they actually help us know who is good and who is not. The people who drink water there are people who betray their friends, so they stay there, in hell".
Well, it went something like that. When they told us the story we were all kind of surprised of the ending. You could hear the silence and people talking about it in astonishment when the headmaster finished the story. I thought it made many people think about it, so decided to write it down. Hope u liked it ^_^
